Bentley

Growing up, my parents were the embodiment of love.
The perfect example of soulmates, and with that ideal, I couldn't wait to find my true love.
What I didn't realize was just because you love someone, it doesn't mean they’re capable of loving you back.

The day I met her, my entire world shifted on its axis and I knew she was the one.
The problem was, how do you convince someone they’re your soulmate when they don't even believe in love?
There was a time I believed that love truly conquered all, but now I'm losing Faith.

Kayla

My mom once said, "Love isn't concrete. It's an emotion, and emotions are abstract. They change. You don't make decisions based on something abstract because if you do, you’re setting yourself up for failure."
I didn't understand her words at the time. I was young and in love, and if you had asked me to define what I was feeling, it would’ve consisted of words such as affection, warmth, happiness, butterflies, happily ever after.
Now, after experiencing heartbreak firsthand, my definition of love is a bit different. It consists of words like messy, heartbreak, waste of time, unrealistic, fake.
Until I met him. He reminded me of all the words love felt like before my heart was broken.
He wanted to show me the beauty in the abstract, but all I could see was the concrete.

Secrets, secrets everywhere...

I needed this book pretty bad after reading Liz‘s book, and it does not disappoint. If you read this after book 1, some of it will be repetitive, but it’s in a different character’s POV and not dull, IMO.

Very broken heroine.
Unplanned pregnancy.
Parents I loved to hate.
Secret billionaire.
Third-act break-up.
Misunderstandings & miscommunications.

Overall:
Another cute one from Ash–4 stars!

Loved Bentley!

Fighting with Faith is book 2 in the Fighting series. It’s a second chance, secret pregnancy romance.

Bentley and Kayla had an intense connection from first meet. He fell first, but Kayla’s troubled past left her jaded and not looking for love. I loved how patient and sweet he was and so happy they were able to overcome their obstacles. Plenty of drama, emotion and steamy moments in this book. I enjoyed their found family and cannot wait for Caleb’s story!

Auri Alden and Theo Sinclair did a really nice job bringing these characters to life.

Bentley and Kayla's HEA

I really enjoyed Bentley and Kayla's story. Bentley wants a life with Kayla but her views on love make it difficult convincing her to give them a chance. A secret pregnancy only complicates Bentley and Kayla's relationship but Bentley is determine to change Kayla's views on love. It won't be easy but once their child is born, the HEA Kayla thought she'd never have is suddenly all she's ever wanted.

Narrators Auri Alden and Theo Sinclair did an awesome job.

Secret Pregnancy Romance

Fighting with Faith by Nikki Ash is a secret pregnancy romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Auri Alden and Theo Sinclair. This is the second book in the Fighting series.

I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Bentley and Kayla. It was messy, but you couldn't help but root for them. I loved that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Fighting For Your Touch so I can get Caleb and Hayley's story.

Auri and Theo did an amazing on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a secret pregnancy romance, second chance romance, MMA romance, or contemporary romance.

Faith, Trust, and The Magic of Lust:

I have now read all four of the books in Nikki Ash’s “Fighting For…” series. I did read them out of order (one and three first because my favorite female narrator, Lexi Evans, was in them. Then I read four and now this one, two.) I liked Kayla as a characters, especially her and Liz as besties. But, in book one, I didn’t like how she treated Bentley so I was nervous how she’d be as the narrator of a book.

Boy, her sass was refreshing and entertaining!

Kayla’s mom was the worst! You are made very clear from the first chapter on why Kayla is so against love due to her reactions and “pep talks” to her daughter. Yuck. My heart went to Kayla.

Bentley’s parents are perfectly wonderful! I want them to adopt me!

And little Bella is still so darling! I love her fighting spunk!

Bentley is the sweetest. He was romantic, caring, but not in a too gushy or weird way. He is realistic and raw, tender and protective. And of course sexy and attentive. Add wink here. I really love him as a character,

I think the motivations of the characters and writing was composed well until around the end. Liz reacted so off to Bentley joining a group they mostly women are in. It was nothing scandalous and his heart was in the right place. I thought it was sexist show they handled that,

Then the big final conflict of Kayla hiding something from him. I get him being upset, but how he handled it was also cruel and out of character, especially with how Kayla had grown as a person, I have no issue with characters reacting intensely depending on challenges, but it really messed up their process I feel so close to the end.

This book is the most dependent of you reading the previous book in the series, and it had a cliffhanger to book three. The other three books were more stand alone, but it was nice if you read the others to get to know the other characters better.

The narrators were phenomenal!!! Auri Alden had a silky and sassy tone that fit Kayla well. Her pacing and intonation was fantastic. I really liked her voices for Liz, Bentley’s mom, her mom, and little Bella too.
Theo Sinclair was remarkable!!! His rich tone was a delight to listen to and he showed so much pure emotion. When Bentley was crying, I heard the clogged voice from him. When he was “excited,” his breathing in the moment was believable. He immersed you and love such a great character even more. His array of voices too was impressive.
These two really brought the natural spice with these two to life.

This book was great and in my top two for the four in the series.

Bentley and Kayla

I love this series and will always recommend it. Bentley and Kayla are the epitome of opposites. He came from a warm and loving home, she came from a home that viewed love as a tax break. Bentley wanted forever and Kayla wanted to run she could never trust herself or love. Those two things almost cost her everything.

Nikki definitely made it a angsty road to get to their happily ever after but she will always get you there so you can never go wrong. Auri and Theo did a fantastic job with the narration. It was a very smooth and easy listen. I enjoyed it and cannot wait for the next one.

Secret Pregnancy...

Fighting with Faith is book #2 in the "Fighting" series. It's a second chance, secret pregnancy romance.

Bentley and Kayla's story was messy, and and an emotional roller coaster ride at times, but their bond was so strong in the end. I feel what Bentley did at one part was unnecessary and made him look bad and not at all like he was in love with Kayla. I feel that part took away from the story a bit. However all in all it was an enjoyable book.

Auri Alden and Theo Sinclair did an amazing job portraying these characters. They really brought them to life.

A test of true love!

It's great to read a book where the hero is not only alpha but 100% sure of his feelings for the girl right from the get go!She is sassy and fearless except when it comes to loving someone. Can he get her to see that love really can exist and get over her childhood experiences? That fairytales can become reality? Even with an unplanned pregnancy? Theo Sinclair brought out all the love, commitment and determination in Bentley’s character. Auri Alden was new to me but I really enjoyed listening to her. Great narration duo. Cant wait for the next book.

You just have to have faith

This book was very relatable and the story was great! Good character development and loved getting glimpse of the previous couple! The build up was good, and the story flowed well. Had a small cliff hanger but it was the opening for the next book and couple.

Narration was great. Had to start the next book right away!

He Falls First

Bentley and Kayla had to work hard to find a HEA. Kayla and Bentley grew up with completely different views of love being shown/taught to them. Bentley is the golden retriever in this one and I have to say I was there for it. I hated how Kayla broke his heart even if not on purpose but once they finally got things figured this family and HEA were well worth the ride! This was a quick listen and narrators did a great job.
