Publisher's summary

Trouble.

One word that comes to mind when someone talks about me. I like to think of it as protection, watching out for the ones I love. But now I’m spending more time in the penalty box than on the ice and the team owner isn’t happy.

Finding myself across the room from the hot therapist I kissed on New Year’s Eve only makes me push my problems down further. I want couch time with her but not the kind she’s used to.

I decide to lie to her just to finish off my therapy so I can do what I really want - date her - even if she says she doesn’t date hockey players. Just when my therapy sessions are up and I’ve made some headway with Paisley, it’s my parents who throw another wrench in my plans.

If I abide by my parent’s wishes to marry the one they’ve chosen, I’ll lose Paisley forever. But if I go against my parents, I’m failing my deceased best friend all over again.

Great 2nd book to the series

Another great book in this series. I actually liked this one better than the first! I liked both narrators too. Yes the Russian accent came and went a bit - but just go with jt. It’s worth it!! Beautiful romance with plenty of laughter, heat and a fun story line!

Sexy Russian!

Maxim and Paisley’s romance is sweet, sexy and emotionally complicated because of his lingering guilt over his supposed failure to protect everyone he loves from harm. As the team shrink it’s Paisley’s job to help him but the sexy Russian doesn’t make it easy with his bangin’ body, sweet talk and sexy accent. I loved the storyline and the narration performances of Tim Paige and Meg Sylvan.

Best kind of trouble

I fell in love with Maksim when he first showed up and kissed Paisley at his boss New Year’s party. I was highly anticipated his story and I must say: you need to read it while listening to the audiobook, he is a Russian, so can you imagine the accent? Tim Paige did an incredible job showing all Maksim’s emotions. It’s an experience that you NEED to go through. When the owner of the Florida Fury hockey team and Paisley’s long time family friend hires her to be the therapist to ALL hockey players, she has more in her hands than she thought. Maksim simply doesn’t believe in therapy, and as a Russian he things is natural to doesn’t open up to anyone, not even his friends.

Their story became much more emotional than I expected, over the end I didn’t know if I should kick Maksim or hold him close. But it was then that I fell completely with Paisley, she was so strong and intelligent, she knew her worth and it wouldn’t let anyone or anything get in her way. I’m obsessed with this book and it is one of my favorite from Piper and Rayne! Totally must read.

Great story

I am going to be honest I am not a hockey fan, not because I don't like but because I don't know it. Well this series may change that. Piper Rayne has created a group of guys that I love!!
This one really tugged at my heart strings our hero was dealing with a heavy load of guilt and it was affecting his game.
Our heroine is the new team therapist who is going to help his on ice anger issue.
Oh can we say forbidden!! I am in!!
I loved their story!! They were awesome together. She brought out a sweet swoonworthy teddy bear side of our angry Russian hockey player.
BUT all is not perfect and his issues (personal and family) got in the way. A story that made me laugh and brought a few tears unfolded.
Can't wait for the next one it's going to be FUN!

Entertaining

great addition to the series and is Maksim Petrov and the woman who tames him, Paisley.
From the first chapter I was drawn into the story that the authors wove. Maksim and Paisley met at the team’s New Year's Eve party and from their first meeting they have a connection.
Paisley is the team’s therapist and she has been tasked with helping Maksim with his anger issues. Maksim is more interested in dating her than therapy and as she refuses to date a patient, he brushes his issues under the carpet. When they begin secretly dating, things are about to become complicated.
What happens when his issues finally surface? Not only that, but he is juggling his interfering parents who are trying to push him into an arranged marriage.
Both Tim Paige and Meg Sylvan are relatively new narrators to me. I enjoyed their performances, Their voices were easy to listen to and drew me in and held my attention.
This was an emotional roller coaster of a read and there were moments of sadness as well as happiness. What will happen when everything is revealed? Will it make or break the relationship that Maksim and Paisley have developed?
In my opinion Piper Rayne have another winner on their hands.

The Trouble with #9

I just can't stop listening to this series.
I really liked book 1, but this one is even better.

A sexy Russian hockeyplayer and a cute psychologist... they are so adorable together and they both try to keep bit of a distance and try to stay professional. Yeah well... gladly they can't stay away from each other.

Can't wait to get to know Ford's story.

Maksim and Paisley

An emotional, angsty, heartbreaking tale of love, loss and moving forward. This story had me swooning form the first page to the last. Maksim and Paisley embark on a forbidden journey that leads them to finding something neither of them expected. I truly enjoyed, adored and loved this book.
Narration is perfection! Tim Paige and Meg Sylvan did a fantastic job bringing these amazing characters to life.
