Publisher's summary

Years of abuse at the hands of her father has taught Monica Collins she can’t trust anyone - especially military men. Since escaping her home, she’s built a successful career as a nanny, showing other kids the love she was denied as a child. But when her employer’s ambassadorial home becomes fair game for intruders during a riot, she’s forced to rely on two SEALs to get her to safety. Basically her worst nightmare come to life.

Stuart “Pid” Hall is used to people being scared, panicked, and confused during a rescue mission, but Monica’s deep animosity and distrust is a surprise...until she shares a bit of her story. He can’t blame her for hating all things military - or for being outraged when his commander demands the SEAL team escort her back to Hawaii. Turns out the ambassador’s home was specifically targeted, and Monica’s the only person who’s faced the intruder and lived.

No one is prepared to learn the man has ties to the Navy. When he decides to use Monica as a pawn for his revenge, she’ll have to overcome years of deep-seated fear...and put her trust in Stuart’s hands if she hopes to see another day.

Finding Monica is the fourth book in the SEAL Team Hawaii series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliff-hanger endings.

Better than Book 3.

After enjoying Books 1&2, I’d had a disappointment with Book 3 because the male villain in Book 1 voiced the lead in Book 3. It was like a rotten earworm & I had a hard time getting past that even though I’m good with the performances. I’ve loved all of the male vocals as leads & am getting used to Emma Wilder. Jason Clarke has the kind of voice that you can sink into like comfy sofa. Nice.

I preordered this one with my fingers crossed. Thank goodness I wasn’t disappointed. The story line has an interesting viewpoint of PTSD. I won’t say more except lauds go to a nice flesh out. I love the recurring characters; the team, their women, Baker, Theo… Hot sex but not too much.
Guess I’ll be pre-ordering Book 5, too.
P.S. I’ve dipped my toes into some of this author’s other offerings but they aren’t as good IMHO.

almost, but not quite

the story line was great, but the end (specifically the intimate part) felt rushed. like the Author went "oh crap! I forgot to write a sex scene. oh well I'll just slap it here at the end" yest of the story was great. Can't wait for Carley and Jags story!♡

Find Monica!

I like this book. There may have been some things that were literary opportunities. But I’d read it again, and I probably will! I wish that Pin and Mo had had sex earlier in the book there was a lot to wait for but it was good when it happened!

This is the best seal team series

I enjoyed every part of this book. The narrators did a amazing job. This had everything you need in a book, drama romance action and a HEA ending. If you like navy love story, then get this series for sure !!

Great

What can I say that I haven't said before. This is another fantastic book by Susan. My only problem is I read / listen too much and its finished before I realize it. Jason and Emma do a wonderful job in bringing the characters to life. Enjoy

What a Story!

Another great Installment in this series! The story is hard to listen to at times and others I can not get enough. The characters filled me with a few “wow” moments then settled into wonderful. Monica has an innate strength that she doesn't realize she has and i was super impressed(where Susan Stoker comes up with these ladies I will never know). Her story hurts my heart. I can not even fathom what she has been through. Luckily she runs across Pid. A nicer guy you will never meet unless his woman is threatened. I loved all that he did for her.

Then enter the other SEALs and their women. Those ladies are becoming a group to be reckoned with as they grow more with each story. I love all the interaction between the men and the women as well.

Overall from the first scene to the last I was completely focused on this story. It is a wild ride full of unimaginable ups and downs. I did listen to this on audio. Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke are the narrators who both do an amazing job! I can not wait for the next in the series.

Again !!!

And Susan Stoker has done it again I want my own Pid or Baker ! He is so patient with Monica and she is so strong and brave that you can’t help but fall in love. The story was fast paced and yet a slow burn . Again what a great addition to this series. The narrators are two of my favs I love it when a make does the mens part and a woman does the women’s parts although it didn’t bother me when they did the opposite voices . So well done but I have to say I have not read a single book by Susan Stoker that didn’t reach out and pull me into the story from page 1.

Great Story!!!

Awesome story. Loved how Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke narrated the story. TW: for some past telling of child abuse. Will listen to it again!
