Great story!

Needs a better narrator. This one is a snoozer. She's obviously reading, no expression. Doesn't do the story justice.

Let Down

So I enjoyed the first book so much I followed up with purchasing the 2nd book within a few days. In between I had listened to The Address: a novel I realized how similar book 1 and Address are. In Daughter, Eve did not seem like the same woman from book 1. She was weak and complaining. She did things that did not make sense - maybe to prolong the story, but in book 1 her actions were more logical. I did not like the Eve in book2. I also did not agree with her taking Patrick back or the way she treated him. She was very selfish. He was supposed to love modern living which had its benefits but he missed 1885 and she had no compassion for his feelings. I could not believe they took medicine and expected people to administer because she asked. And buying a ring on eBay was dumb. Why not take back uncut stones? Its like the book had a good outline but the fill was flat and done quickly and didn't give time to rise, I was disappointed Patrick didn't follow up on the Santa letters. I didn't like the way the Dr treated Eve or her son acted - just prolonged unnecessarily. There was a great outline and there was such a better book in the material than we got. I do not plan to read book 3 because I hope Eve goes back to 1885 and gets left there,
