Publisher's summary

From NYT best-selling Author Kristen Proby comes an all new epic series about three best friends, a local legend, and finding love on the stunning Oregon Coast!

Luna Winchester’s life is firmly entrenched in the coastal town Huckleberry Bay, Oregon. A fourth-generation light keeper, Luna is carrying on the Winchester tradition by tending to the lighthouse. Plus, she’s decided to renovate a long-abandoned building on the property and make it a B&B, Luna’s Light. Surrounded by family and her two childhood best friends, her life is full.

Wolfe Conrad is in hiding, and he’s come to Huckleberry Bay to heal. A career-ending accident on the track nearly took his life, and now he seeks refuge to try and build a new one. The quaint town’s slow pace rattles the man who’s first love is fast cars—and then there’s the beautiful innkeeper, who rattles him in different ways.

Falling in love with Luna definitely isn’t part of Wolfe’s plan. Local legends that tell of unrequited love and despair? Unbelievable. But stranger things have happened, like two strangers falling in love....

A LIGHT, EASYGOING, COZY ADULT ROMANCE

What a nice, light, easy-going, well-paced and totally enjoyable romance this was with a wee bit of drama, mystery and a lot of love and cherishing when an accident forces Wolfe home to Huckleberry Bay.. and he sees Luna again. They were childhood friend who had drifted apart and, even though it’s taken years to bring him home, they didn’t waste any time reconnecting.. and, when they did, the joint attraction and chemistry did the rest. Friends, family and a life saving ghost is nicely weaved in and out of the entertaining chapters along with flashes of drama and danger.. but their happily ever after was never in doubt. It was fun, fast-paced, something easy to get lost in, beautiful and shined warmth through the chapters from the superb dual pov narration of fan favorites Erin and Sebastian.

Worth a credit? If you want the above then definitely yes.

Wolfe & Luna

First I have to say Rose is the best! I absolutely lobe how she is so protective of this town! This is a short, sweet read but certainly doesn’t lack for love! Wolfe & Luna have a love based on years of friendship while growing up together. After returning home, an injury forces Wolfe to stop racing, but it’s Luna who makes him want to stay. This couple has an instant chemistry now being grown up but a foundation of love. Kristen Proby wrote a great story of love and friendship not only with this couple but with their friends. Can’t wait to read more of this town!

Top notch narrators!!

Lighthouse Way is the first novel in the Huckleberry Bay series by Kristen Proby, featuring a friends to lovers tale. Luna Winchester is a fourth-generation lighthouse keeper with big plans to turn her out-building into a bed and breakfast. Wolfe Conrad has returned home after a career ending crash on the race car track. The two former childhood friends find themselves embroiled in some pretty intense chemistry, as Wolfe works out his next steps and figures out a plan for the future.

The book has great world building, with well-developed characters and interesting subplots interwoven into the main main story. The series appears to be based on three best friends, Luna, June, and Sarah, and enough groundwork was laid in this book for June and especially Sarah’s storyline, that I cannot wait for more! The town is also populated with interesting supporting characters that add to the story. There’s also a historical subplot, a protective ghost, and a suspense angle due to a plot twist! I expect Sarah’s book will bring some emotions, and hopefully some answers that we don’t have in this book. I’m diving into it next!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A fun and fast-paced romance set in a small town

A new series and set in a small town in the PNW written by Kristen Proby? Sign me up!

Luna loves her small town of Huckleberry Bay and has had a deeper connection to it than even she could ever imagine. She is in charge of the lighthouse and is set to open a B&B surrounded by good friends and loved ones. When Wolfe returns to a town that he thought he never would return to, he finds that he is ready to set down roots and has an instant connection to Luna.

This was a fast paced romance that got right down to business between our main characters, but also set up some future stories as well. Kristen Proby has a way of connecting us to the whole cast and the whole town, while setting up intriguing storylines. For Lighthouse Way, there was a unique connection between Luna and the house she was living in that "speaks" to her. I loved that aspect of the story and how that played a role in many of their lives. This bit was probably my favorite part of the book.

Since I experienced this book by audio, I have to mention that Erin Mallon and Sebastian York really captured Wolfe and Luna and their love for one another as well as their love for the town of Huckleberry Bay. These narrators brought the characters alive and made me feel a part of their journey in the small town. Even though I'm not a huge fan of instalove, this story worked and I'm excited to see what Ms Proby will bring next in this world.

This book will capture your heart!

I already had high hopes for this story, and had been counting down the days until the audiobook released. It was everything I was hoping for and so much more.

The perfect combination of serious topics (career-ending injury, loss), romance, and a very protective but friendly ghost. Not to mention, great friends that you'll be just as invested in to see their HEA's at some point.

The audiobook was pure perfection, especially with the dual narration. I was able to visualize the entire story playing out along the Oregon Coast, and plan to listen to it again when I visit this summer.

A beautiful story that was so well written, I never wanted it to end. Wolfe had his broody moments, but the chemistry with Luna was everything.

Small town romance perfection

A new small town to add to my list of book towns I want to visit. The Oregon coast town is everything there is to love about small town romance. We have the added bonus here of a friends to lovers story and with those two together its absolutely my favorite troupe to read :)

This is the beginning to Huckleberry Bay series. and what a beginning it was. I loved the romance of this book. I swooned with Luna and Wolfe and they found their way to each other. I laughed at the wonderful friendship that Luna, Sarah, and June have together. I was intrigued by the ghost story plot. It made for such a fun read.

I couldn't wait after reading to get my hands or maybe that should be ears on the audio. It made an already great book so much more. Sebastian was perfection as Wolfe.

5 stars!!

Cozy Small Town Romance

Lighthouse Way, the first in a new series by Kristen Proby, is the perfect warm fuzzy blanket with a cup of tea read that I needed right now. This story is full of charm, a great cast of side characters and even a little mystery. Luna is the lighthouse keeper and Wolfe a race car driver. Friends as kids, they get to reconnect when Wolfe returns to Huckleberry Bay for a charity stock car race that ends with Wolfe suffering an injury that makes it so he can never race again.

Luna and Wolfe’s love story is the perfect combination of sweet with a side of spice and Huckleberry Bay is the kind of town filled with the fun, loyal and quirky kind of residents that you just fall in love with. Even the lighthouse itself stands as a main character in the story. There is quite a bit of background on the town, the lighthouse and its inhabitants that sets up what I’m sure will be a great series. I’m already looking forward to finding out about Luna’s two best friends, Sarah & June.

The narration was fabulous and pulled me right into the story.

Addicted!!

I love the excitement of starting a new series, especially by Kristen Proby!! I love getting to know all her new characters and the world they live in. I especially love figuring out which character's backstory intrigues me most and at this moment I'm not sure I have enough to make my decision. I loved Luna and Wolf, but I can tell that we've barely scratched the surface with this wonderful new universe, so I absolutely need more of Huckleberry Bay!
