Publisher's summary

After two years of taking care of her heartbroken father, Evie needs a new start. Leaving the States and following her sister to Australia to work as the personal assistant of rugby star Xavier "The Beast" Stevens seems like the right kind of distraction.

Tall, muscled, and devilishly handsome, Xavier is the love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy. He never forgets a girl's name because he never bothers to remember it in the first place. Evie soon realizes that being Xavier's assistant is a 24/7 job; the man seems unwilling to even set an alarm for himself.

As she watches him move from one woman to the next, Evie is glad that her heart is safe from his attention. After all, she's a far cry from the size zero models he usually takes to his bed.

But soon being around Xavier doesn't feel like a job and seeing him walk around his apartment half naked all the time isn't helping either. Evie knows that giving in to her attraction will lead to heartbreak, but when Xavier starts treating her as more than just his assistant, resisting his charms seems like an impossible task.

LOVED!

Loved that I could relate to Evie. I’m so glad she was able to blossom and start really loving herself. Loved this story so much! Wasn’t sure how to feel about Xavier at first but I ended up really loving him. This story was everything I hoped for!

Male Narrator Could Have Been Better

I loved the female narrator. 5 stars for sure! She did great doing male and female. But the male narrator just wasn’t it for neither male nor female voices.

Male voice for female was hilarious!

The story was great. It was sweet yet full of humor and I thoroughly enjoyed the story. The female narrator did a great job for both voices but the male narrators voice for the woman sounded like a cartoon character. Really bad. It would be better if they just use the female for vote both voices rather than the way it was done. It was still a super cute book.

Good story, terrible male narrator

I read another review that compared the male narrator’s female voice to SpongeBob and that was jarringly accurate and very off putting. I enjoyed the story itself and would read more by this author

SpongeBob voice

This one is tough to rate because I wasn't a fan of the plot. But overall good writing and character development. What I couldn't get past, was the male narrators female voice. All I could think of was SpongeBob and it totally kept bringing me out of the story laughing.

Just why???

I wish I could give a better review since I love this writer and am an avid listener and reader. The honest truth is that, I could not focus on the parts of the story read by the male narrator which made the story disjointed. his voice was equal parts ridiculously amusing and cringe. Because I love the works of this writer I purchased without listening to the sample first. A mistake I won't make again. I'll leave a full review of the story when I finish on kindle.

Great story

Play story of the narration was awesome guy. The woman narrator did great for both leases I don’t think the male Voice was needed at all.

Easy read

Predictable but still a very good book. Only thing I didn’t care for were the chapters that Xavier was “reading” and did the female voices; that sounded ridiculous. Other than that, very well read.

male narrator's female voice was 😖

I don't have the words to explain how much I disliked the male narrator's female voice.

Horrible male narrator

Horrible horrible male narrator.
Just terrible. And when he does the female’s voice… omg.
He sounds like a parody to a real narrator.
The book is good and the female narrator is great.
It’s a real shame.
