Publisher's summary

A deliciously sexy fake marriage romance performed by a full cast, led by Shane East and Vanessa Edwin, and including Erin Mallon, Joe Arden, Victoria Mei, Siiri Scott, and James Joseph!

A weeklong trip. A fake marriage. And seven delicious nights with only one bed in the hotel room.

He's my business partner, my good friend, and the man I've craved for years.

But I've resisted the sexy Brit, and I plan to keep up my walls because I've been there, done that, and I know how much it hurts when you let someone into your heart.

Then an opportunity comes along for us to snag the business deal of a lifetime.

The catch?

We need to pretend we're married to pull off this high-stakes deal.

So the clever, charming man with secrets a mile deep becomes my temporary husband as we travel around Europe. Soon, we fall into bed, tangled together like newlyweds who can't keep their hands off each other.

One week to explore our fantasies, then we return to who we were.

But when I learn the dark secrets he's been keeping, I doubt we can go back.

Because they change everything.

This exclusive full-cast production also includes the debut of The Rules of Friends with Benefits, a brand new prequel novella!

5 Stars for this amazing story!

I fell in love with Daniel when he appeared in One Exquisite Touch. Immediately I thought, I have to know more about this guy and wanted so much for his story to be told. This book was absolutely everything I wished for and more. It was playful, fun, serious and when they come together, it was positively thermonuclear. I really enjoyed Daniel and Scarlett's playful banter and role-playing. In between all of the fun and sex were some seriously deep underlying things that both of them had dealt with for years affecting personal relationships. I loved every wonderful, sexy and emotional moment of this story.
The audiobook performanes by Vanessa Edwin and Shane East were just absolutely magical. These actors have an amazing chemistry and they're one of my favorite narrator duos. I also cannot leave out all of the side character narrations of Erin Mallon, Joe Arden and Vanessa Mei as well as the new to me narrators Siiri Scott and James Joseph.

EVERY SINGLE TIME IT’S MAGIC

Just look who this book is written by, look at all the talented names narrating it and look at the tempting brief summary.. and, if that doesn’t initially having you ‘one clicking’ this delicious romance, then let me rub my hands in glee and type a wee bit more. The duet-style narration between business partners/friends Daniel and Scarlet flowed wonderfully well as their boundaries got blurred and crossed. The pace and flow of crossing the zones had a delicious slow-build to the unfurling romance. Both battled the sizzles, both tried to ‘business only’ their relationship, both have a bruised backstory to tell, both are rich, driven and secretly lusting over the other.. and both will be blown away when the ‘business’ restraints finally come off. Acquiring Boutique Hotels to add to their Portfolios and an agreed one week ‘no strings’ fling of playing out sensual hot narratives was billed as just a fling.. but it’s a fling that could lead to forever. Because a week’s worth of flushes, flames, flirty banter, dress up and mutually enjoyed hot sexcapades brings passion.. unity.. and love (.. oh yes and a secret that could destroy).

And what can you say about the five star narration by the talented cast of A list actors.. other than awesome - they were the characters, they brought the feels and they infused the delicious anticipation as Daniel and Scarlet held, played and laid their cards which made a very entertaining audiobook.

Worth a credit? I always make deliriously happy mental grabby hands when it comes to a Lauren Blakely new release.. and that folks isn’t just a yes.. it’s a Hell yes.

Oh this was such a fun and steamy listen! Friends to Lovers is always fun because you get to really skip the getting to know you and go right to the getting to know the real you part. Daniel & Scarlett have hot chemistry from the beginning but add in the role playing and this was a very hot book. I felt like the pretending to be someone knew at each place along the way really added a fun and easy way for these two to try out all kinds of things before figuring out that they just need to be themselves. I loved that they are traveling to different places and meeting new people along the way. Perfect HEA with a fun treat at the end of the audiobook. I can't wait for The Virgin Rule Book, Nadia's story is going to be so much fun!

I loved the full cast and all the accents in this book. Shane and Vanessa were a lot of fun but when you add in Erin, Joe, Siiri, Victoria and James it just brings this book to a new level in my opinion.

My Thoughts on My One Week Husband

I loved this one. Really really loved it. I knew there had to be a good story for Daniel. Some baggage in his past. But I didn't expect what it was. I also didn't expect to love him and Scarlett so much. Both characters had more layers and depth then I was expecting. I loved their role play and escapades as well.

I honestly really liked the way Lauren Blakely wrote this one. A relationship built in just one week might have been a bit hard to swallow, but she went about it perfectly. The time spent together during the week was steamy and highly entertaining but it was more a revelation then the whole basis for the relationship.

Shane East did a wonderful job with this story. That accent gets me every time. I loved him in Cole's story so wasn't expecting anything less than perfection. But Vanessa Edwin was also amazing. I feel like I don't listen to enough of her and every time I hear something new I'm surprised all over again by how much I love her voice.

Overall this was a great story and I can't wait for more.

Breathtaking and Sizzling Romance!

I absolutely loved everything about this amazing story! I couldn't wait for more about Daniel after meeting him in the scorching hot romance, One Exquisite Touch, and this was everything and more! Daniel and Scarlett have been business partner's for 3 years. They have different approaches that complement each other. Daniel is intuitive, making quick, solid decisions, while Scarlett analyzes, and plans her strategies, depending on her number crunching. They mesh together so seamlessly, making magic with their successful hotels. But they also make magic together, having fun together, and even tho they are wildly attracted to each other, they never cross the professional line. When they are looking to buy smaller boutique hotels, they decide to visit them playing the part of a newly married couple, to stay incognito. As they play the part, they discover hidden things about each other that only stokes their fiery attraction. They decide to engage in their deliciously dirty desires for one week only, then return to friends and business partnes when it's over. But as they become closer behind closed doors, the heartbreaking secrets of their pasts come to light. Will they be able to give their hearts fully or will the heartbreak of their pasts be too much and break them apart for good? This is a scorching hot romance that was so sweet and romantic as well. I loved both Daniel and Scarlett, they had so much fun together, and their explosive chemistry leaped right of the page. It was fun taking this trip with them and enjoying the wonderful characters they met along the way. I was also intrigued by their breathtaking back stories and how it shaped who they are today.
Shane East and Vanessa Edwin were amazing as Daniel and Scarlett. Their incredible chemistry, easy delivery, and fantastic accents make me feel like I am right there with them, getting totally lost in the realism of their storytelling. I also enjoyed the supporting cast of Erin Mallon, Joe Arden, Siiri Scott, and James Joseph who made this story even more captivating.
You definitely don't want to miss this delightful, pognant, romantic, and deliciously hot and dirty romance!

So easy to fall for this one!

Music is my passion, and a book that includes any type of musician is always intriguing to me. Lauren Blakely gives us that with My One Week Husband. Daniel and Scarlett are business partners looking to purchase a chain of hotels. There is a definite spark of attraction, but when Cole, the third in their partnership gives them the idea to pretend to be newlyweds while checking out the hotels, things are about to move to the next level. With a deadline on the fun, these two enjoy their time pretending. But is it really a pretense? Hot, passionate, witty banter, all the things Blakely is best at bring this story alive. But not only is it all those things, the complexity of these two draws out their secrets. And with that we get the music! The secondary characters add friendship and good advice, all people we have met and loved before. And just when we think it is over, we get a bonus listening to The Rules of Friends with Benefits, which had me laughing and loving! It gave us a quick history of The Virgin Rule Book leaving us wanting to know more!

An all star cast narrates this gem. Shane East as Daniel and Vanessa Edwin as Scarlett star as our main characters, with Joe Arden, Erin Mallon, Victoria Mei, Siiri Scott and James Joseph enhance the listen with their vibrant and quirky voices. Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton narrate our novella and as always their fantastic voices bring it all to life.

So much entertainment in one book! A real treat!

I adore this book so much. I'm a big fan of friends who have a fake relationship that turns real trope and this is such an amazing one. Lauren Blakely is such a talented author! Daniel and Scarlett are such wonderful lovable characters. They are business partners who pretend to be a honeymooning couple for a week to check out different boutique hotels and what comes out of that is so much more than what either of them expected. Their story is so flirty, sexy, fun, sweet, passionate and emotional, and I loved every single minute of it. The audiobook is an amazing treat with an extended cast for some scenes in the book! But as for the hero and heroine, Shane East is delicious as Daniel and Vanessa Edwin is a fantastic Scarlett. They definitely make you feel what they are feeling and add so much to the written word. They make magic together.
Joe Arden is Cole, their third business partner, and Erin Mallon is Nadia, Scarlett's BF, and they are both fantastic in their roles as always. The others were new to me but very good in their roles as well.
The epilogues are amazing! What we find out in the first epilogue is just delightful. And the final epilogue just made my heart sing with happiness.
The bonus prequel novella starring Erin Mallon as Nadia and Teddy Hamilton as Crosby is awesome and I’m looking forward to The Virgin Rulebook coming in April!
So much entertainment in one book! A real treat!

When pretending becomes reality

I love when an author takes me on a romantic trip to a place I have never been but feel as though I join the characters on their journey to love. This time I got to go to France and join Daniel and Scarlett on their one week of pretending to be married trip to land the deal of a lifetime. Turns out they land more than they bargained for.

We fell in love with Daniel in One Exquisite Touch but there was so much more to him than I first thought. Sexy, yes. Daring, definitely. A little conniving, most assuredly. What I didn't know about Daniel was all the hurt and emotions he kept tucked deep inside. There is so much to Daniel and Scarlet is just what he needs.

Scarlet we also met previously but she too didn't show her true self until this book. She is smart and beautiful and a strong business woman but much like Daniel she has a hurtful past and so she keeps her heart guarded for good reason. She loves her friend and business partner and is also strongly attracted to him but can she let her guard down for Daniel to find more than just friendship? Join them on their journey and fall in love yourself.

This is a full cast of actors telling this story and they were all terrific. Shane East was Daniel and Vanessa Edwin was perfect for Scarlet. We also have the pleasure of having Erin Mallon, Joe Arden, Victoria Mei, Siiri Scott, and James Joseph add to the story.

I loved it and highly recommend it.

Outstanding!

After meeting Daniel in One Exquisite Touch I was anxious to get his story and this book is everything I wanted and more. Scarlett has been Cole and Daniel’s business partner for years and there has always been incredible sexual tension just under the surface between Scarlett and Daniel. Finally the opportunity arises for them to spend significant time together in a romantic setting and pretending to be a married couple was just what they needed to push them together and let down their walls. This was a beautiful friends to lovers story with a heaping helping of emotional healing and personal growth to round out this swoony and steamy romance. And as a super generous bonus, Lauren Blakely gave us yet another incredible full cast project with Shane East and Vanessa Edwin bringing the heat and all the feels, Joe Arden reprising his cocky and sexy role as Cole, Victoria Mei and Siri Scott popping in as several side characters, and James Joseph left us wanting to hear more of him. Erin Mallon is back as Scarlett’s best friend, Nadia, and sets the stage for The Virgin Rule Book with her prequel “novella” at the end. Absolutely loved the entire cast and Lauren Blakely tops herself with every new book. Five-star listen for sure.
