Publisher's summary

I never expected to see my first love again after he left me 12 years ago. Though I’ve moved on, working with Tyler is no easy task- especially when he focuses his bedroom eyes on me. Flirting with the past is like playing with fire, and considering I’m engaged, I’m bound to get burned.

When the man I promised to marry reveals he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing, I run to the safety of Tyler’s strong arms. As we grow closer, so do our feelings. Threats and ultimatums are made, and the revelation of the truth is enough to bring me to my knees. I’ll do whatever it takes to protect my family, even if it means shredding my heart.

Too dangerous, too unpredictable, too risky to handle alone - we need each other now more than ever.

After our world nearly collapses, there’s nothing left to do but take it back. Tyler and I team up to destroy the people who are determined to ruin our second chance at a happily ever after. Though our love is undeniable, I just hope it’s enough. We’ll fight until the end to be together - regardless of who tries to get in our way.

Needing You Close is a slow burn, angsty second chance romance with lots of small-town Southern drama. It's book two in the Tyler & Gemma duet and must be listened to in order.

A great finish to Tyler and Gemma's story!

I listened to the audio version of this book. The conclusion to Tyler and Gemma's story was as wonderful as the first story. I loved Tyler as much as I hated Gemma's fiance Robert. It seems that Robert has Gemma up against the ropes and she is destined for a life of sacrifice and despair.
Not only has danger come to threaten her first (and she has discovered true love), but everything she cherishes may be taken away as well. Can Tyler help her find a way to keep all she loves, including him?
This was a great conclusion to a great story and the narration by Lia Langola and Tor Thom helped top it off.
I was given a complimentary copy of this audio book. All thoughts are my own.

What a wild ride!

I was hooked on the first book of this duet and I loved the second! Tyler and Gemma are smoking hot. The plot twists that Kennedy Fox threw into this? Mind blowing 🤯 When the big twist was revealed, I had to hit pause just to yell “Whatttttt??!?” I can’t wait for Noah and Katie’s story. Tor and Lia were amazing and I loved having the duel narration.

Intense!

I was anxious to continue Tyler and Gemma’s story. This one was intense!
Between Tyler and his issue with Victoria and Gemma with horrible Robert, I was on the edge of my seat.
The outcome? Brilliant! Never expected the ending at all. Loved it!
This had such the perfect ending and a wild ride!

Tyler & Gemma's conclusion got me good....

Another duet hit series in the books! Narrators Tor Thom and Lia Langola told their story well. Off the bat the feels of frustration and wanting to break the engagement is a constant issue that will not go away. Since Tyler's arrival back to his hometown the actions of Gemma's fiancée is becoming more controlling and demanding; however, not going with their wedding plans can ultimately change her life.

Tyler and Gemma being around each other is becoming more dangerous, unpredictable, and a struggle with eyes and ears seemingly always need to know their business. It is becoming even more difficult working in the same place together. The undeniable feels for wanting more is within reach but difficult to attain. Needless to say my mind is always spiraling thinking options that they can do.

OMG just when I thought there was no possibility for more between Tyler and Gemma author duo Kennedy Fox throws you for a surprising loop! They totally got me good! This read will take you on a second chance ride that you will not forget. The heart wants what the heart wants and it will do whatever it takes to destroy those people who are determined to keep them apart.

Tyler & Gemma are the slowest of slow burn couples

Needing You Close was just as good in audio as Keeping You Away. When I read a book I don't always pick up on the emotion of the characters and there is nobody better than Lia Langola to portray that emotion. Tor Thom continues to do a great Tyler. I especially love the way he says a certain four letter word that cannot be typed here.

Tyler and Gemma find a huge obstacle in their way in the second part of their story. While they think they may finally be able to give a relationship a chance Robert shows back up not going quietly. The bond between Gemma and Tyler is years old even though they were apart....nobody can come in between them.

This story is one epic slow burn but when Tyler and Gemma finally come together it makes the wait worth it. They find a very clever way to work around their obstacle and get their HEA!

Get Ready For an Emotional Roller Coaster Ride!

Needing You Close is Book 2 in the Tyler & Gemma Duet. *This duet must be listened to in order.

The ending of Keeping You away left me chomping at the bit and guessing where Book 2, Needing You Close, would take us readers/listeners. Whatever I could have possibly conjured up in my head couldn’t come close to the emotional roller coaster Kennedy Fox took me in the concluding book of this duet.

Needing You Close had me on pins and needles the whole book waiting/wanting/wishing for Tyler and Gemma to get the HEA they deserved. They had a long, tough road and it seemed that any time I thought true love was going to prevail—here comes another wrench in their plans. Seriously, these two could not catch a break.

I must admit that for a small part of the book I was ready to throw anything within a few feet radius of me at the wall. Without giving too much away, I thought in my head SURELY KF would never do me like that. SURELY NOT! Of course, I never should have doubted KF. After all, they’ve never let me down before. Let me just say PLOT TWIST! It’s one thing I love most about this duo, they always keep me on my toes.

Even though at times it seemed down right impossible, Tyler and Gemma finally got the HEA that they fought so hard for and ever so badly deserved! I’m so excited for the next couple’s story in the Ex-Cons series (Noah & Katie)! What makes it even better is that we’ll get to see more of Tyler and Gemma (as secondary characters) in the next duet. It’s basically like having a bonus extended epilogue!

Lia Langola and Tor Thom did just as great bringing Gemma and Tyler’s characters to life in Book 2 as they did in Book 1.

Finally, Tyler and Gemma 4ever!

Where do I start? I have waited somewhat impatiently for this conclusion to Tyler and Gemma's story and it did not disappoint. I thought for sure, FOR SURE, that they would not get their HEA... so much so that I had an actual ache in my chest. I should have known that the dynamic duo we call the authors had something up their sleeves! I didn't see that well thought out plan coming AT ALL. After everything was said and done, I loved how the authors gave us the play by play of how that plan came to be. That was one EPIC plot twist! It's writing like this that keeps me coming back for more. Can't wait to see how the next stories in the series pan out. I'm so in for this wild ride!

Tor Thom and Lia Langola really nailed Tyler and Gemma's characters, bringing them to life and giving them voices! Great picks for narrators.

GREAT BOOK

KF did it again!!! I couldn't put this book down, I had to know how it ended. This book kept me hooked until the end and left me still wanting more of these characters!! Tyler is everything that I had hoped for and wanted in his character. And Gemma is so down to earth that you just have to love her. They have such a sweet love story from the past that brings them back together in the best ways for the future. This was a perfect conclusion to Tyler and Gemma, I am so happy they got their HEA!!!
With KF books, I always seem to fall in love with the secondary characters as much as the main characters. That's how amazing they write their peoples.
