Publisher's summary

Surly, rude, selfish, and inconveniently attractive. Meet Milo Papatonis, the king of all jerks.

I’m not normally one to judge, but I’ve been down this particular road before and I can unequivocally say he’s earned his title. It’s not enough that Milo crushed my dreams when we were kids, but now I’m somehow being forced to dwell under the same roof with his ill-mannered ass. If he thinks his sexy shower noises and ovary-imploding smile can tempt me into forgetting, he’s nuts.

This situation is strictly business and blessedly temporary. Because my dreams are still out there waiting for me, and they won’t be found anywhere near this town - or this guy.

Jerks do nothing but break hearts, of that I’m certain. But I’ve been known to be wrong a time or two....

If you've listened to Then Again by Sylvie Stewart, you've met Jill, the hopeless flirt and younger sister to Jenna. Catch up with Jill as well as your friends from The Nerd Next Door in this fun, sexy, irresistible new addition to the Carolina Kisses series.

Who doesn’t love second chances?

This is my first listen by Miss Stewart and I really enjoyed the book. First it was a little hard for me to get into but by the third chapter I was definitely more invested and wanted to hear what happened next. I found it a little difficult to follow when the characters would switch back-and-forth from the past to the present but it didn’t distract from the overall quality of the book. The narrators did an amazing job I absolutely loved their accents and voices and how they brought personality to each character through their voice.

Great enemies to lovers comedie

As always this author wrote a super funny story, and is a very well written book. I am usually not a big fan of flash backs, but they way it was done here was great and necessary to understand the history between Hero and heroine. I liked both the Hero and heroine, the heroine being a bit of a drama queen created several laugh out loud moments. The female narrator did an excellent job both as young Jill as grown up Jill.
The young Hero was a grump, due to a horrible accident and in a lot of pain. The male narrator also did an excellent job as the young and the adult Milo. He has a very nice voice to listen to.
Overall I enjoyed listening to this book very much and I think every of the five stars is well earned

Great Rom Com

I enjoyed this audiobook. Jill and Milo had a tumultuous past. They reconnect 12 years later by chance. Jill showed up in her old town to find herself. She kept hitting bad luck one episode after another. Milo also returned to attend his dad's funeral and move into the house left for him. Jill and Milo had constant bickering and insulting each other.
I always like listening to dual narrators. This is my first time hearing Matt Hicks who has a panty melting voice. Amanda Stirling was partnered well with Matt. She was fabulous.

Even more fun as an audiobook

4.5 Stars

I read this book shortly after it came out, but I just listened to it as an audiobook and it was so much better! Amanda Stribling and Matt Hicks knocked it out of the park, really bringing the characters to life. Their performances were amazing. The story is even more fun when they add all the emotion to the words.

New Jerk in Town is more missed opportunity/enemies to lovers than second chance/enemies to lovers. I love the rom com writing style. It is a stand alone, but I can't wait to read Andie's story.

Cute

Milo and Jill are a great couple. The past and present scenes helped explain the relationship between Milo and Jill, how far back it goes, Jill's anger towards Milo. and Milo's feelings for Jill. The restaurant where Jill worked was a wonderful idea. My mom loves The Sound Of Music so I was familiar with the female characters and we definitely would have eaten there. I loved that Milo never gave up on Jill, even when she was being awful to him. It was a fun listen and the narrators did a wonderful job.

Loved loved loved this one.

First the narrators were amazing. Especially the male, his voice just makes you want to swoon.

Second the story itself was super cute, with a little bit of steam(closer to the end). I just kept thinking I need myself a southern man.

enjoyable

like with many dual Narrated books, I had a little issue with volume. the female read chapters were a little more quiet than the male. I did enjoy this story that was both enemies to lovers and second chance
