Publisher's summary

Living with her mother seemed like a good idea at the time. But Elliott Donovan's living arrangements are not working for her anymore. Desperate to get back on her financial feet after a divorce and out from under her mother's thumb, Elliott takes a job in the child care center at Weight Expectations, a local gym.

It has everything she needs - family friendly hours, more pay than she expected, and a super-cute trainer who just happens to have part of his house for rent.

Abel DiSoto was living the good life until his wife walked out taking half of the family income with her. The blow to his ego was bad enough, but after a fire at the gym scattered Abel's clients, and consequently his commissions, he's stuck figuring out how to make ends meet, too. Renting out the master suite of his house to his new coworker seems like an easy solution. They're both mature adults, they both have eight-year-old daughters, and their work schedules coordinate so they can lend each other a helping hand to ease the burden of single parenthood.

The only downside? Living like a blended family when you're not actually a family can present some challenges.

Contains mature themes.

Fun Ron -Com

The only problem I had with this book was that there were were two or three grammatical errors that made me think the editors were missing something. Either that or the reader was reading it wrong. Not sure which but it was annoying.

So so performance, but a cute story

I’m not going to lie, the female narrator had me almost not wanting keep going once I heard her. But I’m supper glad I did keep going. I laughed through so many chapters and even though I had a hard time understanding their parenting style at first, I was able to see a positive outcome! I guess I loved the fact that a hot younger guy could see deeper into this beautiful older lady, that wasn’t the “perfect” shape. Seriously who of us are perfect? Especially when we get older. Truly an enjoyable book!

Great Smartypants romance with real world issues of single parents

I really enjoyed the plot, characters and performance. My only complaint is that the story's ultimate conflict that Abel and Elliott had to overcome seemed a bit manufactured and too easily resolved. But I was continually engaged and loved the writing/dialogue.

Great for single parents

This book was more focused on what it’s like to be a single parent then it was on the budding Romance, or the love between the characters. That’s my opinion, at least. Maybe people who have kids would feel differently about it and I can’t really speak to that. These are some of my favorite narrators and they did a great job performing.

Together but not scrambled

The story of a 2nd relationship is cute . The audio is a bit off though. I had to speed up the beast and slow down the cutie narrators.
I appreciated the consideration for kids and how they feel from a parent not putting in time or effort in their parenting. You can love someone but still be mad at them

Ugh…I just can’t

DNF
After hours and hours of no sex, no attraction, and no sexual chemistry I wanted to stop. But I persevered. But once the attraction started? Sorry no. Still no sexual tension and no sex. I can’t even call it a slow burn bc there was no burn. Sorry, I couldn’t do it anymore with 2 hours left.
