Publisher's summary

Everett Ramses came into my life like a hurricane on a dark New Orleans night. With a deep voice and penetrating gaze, his mere presence tingled my nerves and twisted my insides much like the city’s legendary stories of spirits and ghosts.

As the ruler of New Orleans, Everett Ramses lives life hard and takes what he wants without apology.

He wants me to be his queen.

I am not an unwilling capture or a damsel in distress.

No, I, Emma North, willingly fell for the man who proclaims himself the devil.

Do I follow through on the promise I made to Rett, or do I listen to my own instincts and run before it’s too late?

The future of New Orleans is now in my hands.

Have you been Aleatha'd?

From New York Times best-selling author Aleatha Romig comes a new romantic-suspense duet, set in the dark and mysterious world of New Orleans. This full-length novel is the conclusion of the Devil’s Series duet that began with the prequel Fate’s Demand, continued in Devil’s Deal, and concludes in Angel’s Promise.

Absolutely fabulous second book in this dark duet.

This story is absolutely captivating and I love that it is told by two both POV's and narrated by two different people. This is a great duet and I highly recommend it!

Great Duet

This was a great duet by Aleatha Romig as always. Her stories are full of twists and turns that are unexpected and make you want to keep reading/listening to the point of utter exhaustion. I never want to hit the pause button to sleep or take the time to engage with people including my own family. I'd rather live in Aleatha's worlds. For me, this story was even more intriguing because it was set in my birth/early childhood stomping grounds. It gave me those nostalgia vibes. That being said, the narrators did a great job with the exception of absolutely murdering the names of the cities, parishes and lakes of New Orleans and the surrounding areas.

Please Tell Me That There Will Be A Book 3?

One of my absolutely favorite books of all time! From start to finish.... I am so sad there isn't a book 3!

Not what I expected from this author

There were a few more twists in the duet conclusion than in book 1, but still not at the level that I expect from an Aleatha book. Sadly, this was not my favorite, by one of my favorite authors.
