Publisher's summary

Getting fired and humiliated in front of everyone at my newly acquired secretarial job at Morgan Financial Holdings wasn't how I'd seen my day going.

And then chaos - or maybe luck - ensued.

I was set up on a blind date, shocked that my former boss was giving me a month's severance, and had the perfect interview lined up.

Maybe things were looking up for me after all.

And although finding a man should have been on the bottom of my to-do list, I couldn't get Jason - the uber-sexy blind date - out of my head. Sexy and confident - or maybe arrogant - he had me yearning for more with just a smoldering look and a smirk of his lips.

But when a night of drinking led to getting in bed with him and having the wildest, most intense night of my life, I didn't know if I should ask to see him again or do the good old walk of shame.

And it was when I walked into my interview the next day and came face-to-face with my prospective employer that the reality of my situation sank in.

Because there, sitting across from me with that devilish smile on his face, that knowing

expression of what we’d done the night before, was the one and only Jason, my supposed one night stand.

Looked like my humiliation wasn't over just yet.

ummmmm

I'm not really sure where the title comes from. It wasn't nearly what I was expecting it's a cute quick story I kind of love how it all falls together but we could be is not really the title I'd give it...

Too Short of a Story -

Don’t get me wrong, I really liked the story... but I felt like there needed to be much more of an evolution between the characters relationship. It seemed like 5 seconds between the initial meeting and the “embarrassing” encounter that started everything, to where the relationship ramped up to where one should expect this type of plot to go.

It was was sexy... which was great.... but WAY too much emotions WAY too fast to even resemble anything realistic.

The thing that put me off the most was the male narrator’s (Alexander Cendese) “female” voice... it was cringey at best. I think the masculinity that’s innate in his voice was unavoidable but, which was hot when in character for the guy as speaking... it was distracting at best, but more of a turn off, when he narrated any of Linda’s lines during his chapters.

If only there was a way to have CJ’s voice cut into those clips... then it would have changed my rating.

Wicked Bedmate

This one was just ok for me. It started out good but then after their first date it just seemed to fall flat for me. I didn’t connect to Jason when reading his POV. I seemed like he was pushing his feelings and overall it was a little to instalove for my tastes (but since this story is on the short side it’s not unexpected I guess.)

Short and sweet

I'm not sure I get the title but overall, this is a low angst sweet story. I didn't see how Jason was wicked at all but I did like how sweet he was to Linda and helped her out. It seemed like there was a bit too little substance and more fluff. I didn't actually think the story was different or too memorable but I did enjoy it while listening to it.

Alexander Cendese was good overall but his female voice sounds a bit forced. CJ Bloom was very good. Overall, I enjoyed the listen but I am glad it was a part of AE so I didn't need to buy it.

Jason and Linda

Linda and Jason instantly connect. Their chemistry is undeniable. Jason goes all in knowing what he wants. I enjoyed his alpha side. I wish this story could have been longer. That being said, I enjoyed this story.
Alexander Cendese is one of my favorite narrators, his enthusiasm, and charming voice draws you in. CJ Bloom was great as always.

Quick & Easy Listen

Heroine meets Hero on a blind date and embarrasses herself drinking too much. Next day goes on a job interview and her new boss is Jason, the guy from the night before. They have a pretty instant connection and he’s the type of guy that goes after what he wants!
This was a great listen if you need a pallet cleanser or something to listen to on a car ride or while doing daily chores. The narrators were enjoyable and the story was cute. For this being a shorter listen, the story was still well-rounded and wrapped up nicely.

I didn’t love it.

It was really hard to pay attention to. Some parts of the story held promise but it just didn’t hold my attention. The cover was the most intriguing part of the book for me.

Cute

Very cute insta love. Though short I did enjoy this listen. Narrators did great and made the characters more relatable. With it being so short I couldn’t get into it as much a I have in other books. I need a little bit more. But if you are wanting a drama free book and light listen which I know I have been in one of those moods before then this is definitely it and would be amazing light and uplifting.

so much potential

I'm so happy this was a short listen. even then I almost didn't make it to the end. of course I knew the story was going to be quick/rushed but if you establish timelines well it doesn't really matter. it reminded me of a bad cheesy soap opera. the sex scenes were so juvenile. and the repeat of words... I'm just glad I made it to the end. as for the storyline line it has so much potential but the way the story connected to Graham and Sierra wasn't explained well enough which made it weird at the end for them to all be friends.
