Publisher's summary

Never borrow pants from your brother. Especially if he’s a size smaller than you are, because all that pressure in the junk will short-circuit your brain.

And you’ll lie to a woman in a club about your real name.

Leave her unsatisfied after making out in a bathroom.

Then find out that she’s the one thing standing in the way of your dreams. And she very much doesn’t like being lied to.

Now I have to convince Lila Valentine - the woman I can’t stop thinking about, my biggest regret, and my new boss - that I’m what’s best for the baseball team she’s inherited.

If we can’t work together to save the Fireballs, the commissioner’s forcing a sale and moving them across the country.

I’ll do anything to save my home team.

But the one thing I can’t do?

Keep my hands to myself.

Which would be fine, if she hadn’t been telling me lies this whole time too.

Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire is a rocking fun romance between a single dad obsessed with baseball, an heiress with secrets, baseball pants, a rundown team, and rabid ducks. It stands alone and comes with a guaranteed happily-ever-after.

Another winner!

This is another fantastic rom-com by Pippa Grant. I’m finding that I really loved her characters and the ridiculousness that surrounds them.

Liar, Liar, Hearts on Fire

After book 2 I was looking forward to Tripp’s book. I liked it and I am glad I picked it up.
I wasn’t expecting Tripp to be such a germaphobe but it’s kind of understandable once you know his back story.
I really liked Lila, her whole store breaks my heart but the way she has turned it around and has done so much good. Admire that, she doesn’t blame anyone it just is.

The mystery behind her parents still irks me because we don’t really get closure and that might be good too because it gives us a small glimpse into what it must be like for her.

The kids we have to talk about the kids this book wouldn’t be this book without them. I loved all the ducks and * * *k’s and trucks lol.
Great narration loved it.

Not as funny, but interesting backstories

A more serious love story than I’m used to from Pippa Grant, it still has the great and hilarious side characters that I have come to know and love along with some scenes that had me snorting with laughter, but both Tripp and Lila have deep emotional scars from their past that made the tone a little more somber. Tripp is the devoted single dad that can make any heart swoon, the unlimited patience he had with his kids had me completely amazed and a little in love with him. After losing her parents as a child, Lila lived a life of solitude… not sticking around in one place too long and not letting anyone get too close. Tripp and Lila butt heads from the second they meet (well, besides the hot scene in the bathroom) and seem the thrive on irritating the heck out of each other! While this one was much more heartfelt than the others, Tripp’s kids added the perfect comedic relief to all the scenes! Seriously, all the random animals and insects his son collected had me rolling in laughter!

Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood did an amazing job narrating and are two of my favorite narrators for a reason! Joe was perfect for a take charge dad like Tripp, I loved his growly voice!

Rock meets Hard place

Tripp is living in limbo until Lilah shows up and rattles his cage. These two totally cracked me up while delivering all the feels. This is why I LOVE Pippa Grant.

Hope this series isn't done

Absolutely heart warming and funny. I hope that this is not the last in the series. All of the books have been hilarious. I laughed so hard throughout this series that my dogs think I'm a whole lot crazy. Pippa...keep it coming!

Really enjoyed this one,...

...not quite as much as the first book but a lot more than the second. There are certain aspects to this I can really relate to and find interesting. Had to keep myself from gagging whenever Lila referenced her uncle Al (my dad's name), you'll understand 😬🤣 and I adore her "uncle Guido" 😏

Enjoyable story

This was my first book by Phipps Grant and I really enjoyed it. Trip is a single dad trying to figure out how to live life without his wife. He goes out with his famous brother. He meets Lila and is mistaken for his brother. Tripp’s dream is to own the local professional baseball team and much to his surprise when he meets with the new owner— it is Lila. This was a single dad (his kids are very funny), enemies to lovers and mistaken identity book.

Grief, Joy, Love

Tripp is one of my favorite single Dads ever. He finds just the right woman to take on him and his tribe, kids included. Maybe a little therapy for him wouldn’t have been out of place, but just about perfect. Cover model real or not is everything.

Mistaken identity leads to love

When Tripp is mistaken for his brother he doesn't correct them mistake he lets the little white lie continue that is until it comes back to bit him in his oh so delicious backside.

Lila has secrets, lots and lots of secrets and she keeps her heart and her body guarded at all times, that is until she meets the the handsome man that steals her heart and causes her body to want to do naughty things.

This is a great book that has a single dad that is paranoid of germs and two adorable kiddos that steal the show as well as an heiress that owns a baseball team and has so many secrets its hard for her to keep them all straight.

Joe Arden and Savannah Peachwood are terrific as always. I love listening to both of these narrators and they didn't disappoint. Great job!

I really loved the book and recommend it.
