Publisher's summary

From New York Times best-selling author, Kristen Proby, comes Serendipity, the final installment in her gripping Bayou Magic series....

My sight is a gift and also a curse. It cost me the love of my life. We may have been young, but some things you don’t get over. Like being the cause of the biggest tragedy of your boyfriend’s life. It’s something I’ll never forget, and a reflection of who I am.

But now that Jackson’s back in town, with scars and a hero’s badge of honor, it’s time for me to be brave, too.

A malevolent evil hell-bent on making my sisters and me pay for rebuffing him is still stalking my family, and some ancient writings portended that the six were the only ones who could defeat him.

Jackson Pruitt and I round out that magical number, which means I have to face the evil and the things Jack makes me feel, to save my family and my city.

I never sought to reconnect with Jack. Working with him now means opening myself up to my feelings for him.

Refusing means destruction for us all.

A Fantastic Ending

Serendipity is the last book in the Bayou Magic series, and it was a great ending to a fantastic serial killer, witchy paranormal romance. This book is Jackson and Daphne's story, which is a second chance romance. They are soulmate, and they have to finish what began with the serial killer in Shadows. Jackson was angry with Daphne when she told him how his father died, and left her years ago. Now he is back in New Orleans, and Daphne is angry with him for how he treated her. Jackson and Daphne are a part of the 6 to defeat the villain for good. The ending is good. The romance is good (closed door like the first two books in the series), an atmospheric PNR storyline about witches, and POV of the serial killer that is dark and unsettling that Jason Clarke slayed in the audiobook!

Obsessed with this series

I love this series so much and this was the perfect ending. These characters are so well written and the storyline was phenomenal. The narrators brought this story to life in the most perfect way. This is definitely one of my favorite series from this author!

Narrator Amazing, Story Just Okay

I absolutely loved the first book in this series and the second book wasn't as good, it felt repetitive. This story wasn't as good, it just didn't do it for me. Nothing really stood out to me. I did like that Daphne and Jackson were a little more explicit with the language when it referring to bedroom fun. All of the narrator's have been amazing in this series; however, I wish this book had been done duet just because Horace gives this "speech" towards end of the book. Since the chapter is from Daphne's POV, it's performed by Samantha Brentmoor. She did an excellent job, but she didn't have Jason Clarke's creep factor that I had become accustomed to since the first book.

Ok, other 2 we’re better

Daphne knew this was coming so you’d think she’d be more prepared and less whiny and annoying. Like when she receives the photos does she have to scream each time? You saw the others why keep screaming. And forgiving Jackson for leaving her without a backward glance, she had no backbone and made her uninteresting.

The other two books in this series were better with stronger female leads. Lucy seemed like a character I’d want to know more about and the happenings in Salem.

Jackson also seemed weak and an afterthought. What was his real purpose in being part of the six? The ending was anticlimactic, poof and then it was over.

Narration was wonderful.

What an ending!

You know what I love about Octobers?? The fact that Kristen Proby is writing some paranormal/witchy thriller reads for us and I'm here for them. They have the best characters and the plot has crossed over between 3 books seamlessly.

With the 3rd and final book in the Bayou Magic trilogy, we get Daphne and Jackson's story and it is intense, a little bit sexy and a bit of a second chance romance along with a second chance at putting down a serial killer for good. Daphne has the power to feel what "once was". It's her gift of sight that leads her on the hunt for Horace. And can we say how freaky this man is? His POVs aren't huge, but his actions are despicable and horrifying. If you listen to the audio of these books, he will make you shiver at his thoughts. And the fact that Kristen Proby got into his mind and created this character? Yeah...that creeps me out too. But then she goes and gives me a man like Jackson that loves fiercely and makes me believe that he will never leave again. Heck, all the men these sisters connected with are perfect for them and their family. I love The Six!

I'm kind of sad that this series is over, but I've since heard that Kristen plans to keep giving us these thrillers/paranormal type books in October, so I can look forward to those. But in the meantime, I may want to go back and re listen to them all. The books are good, but I'm sold on the audio. Their performances brought me to New Orleans with their accents and closer to the sisters and their other halves. And that Horace? Perfectly portrayed!! It's been a ride and I'm sad it's over, but will be looking forward to more in other worlds in future Octobers!

4.5 ‘Soulmate' Stars

Wow... I dare you to read/listen to SERENDIPITY and not have a major case of goosebumps!!! Once again Ms. Proby blew my mind with her brand of supernatural suspense/romance. Intense, passionate, intriguing, and oh so sexy, the final installment of the Bayou Magic series not only instantly captivated me, but left me on the edge of my seat with its seriously amazing setting and narrative building!

What an unforgettable ending, we had ALL the elements of an epic - more like three*wink* - love story that sucks you right in from the very first page, or should I say, book?! Oh, how I will miss these sister and their equally fantastic alphas!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Fantastic Series Finale

This is an amazing series that absolutely must be read in order. Daphne is the third sister to have her story told and her soul mate is Jackson. Their love is still strong even after being separated for years. They are the final two of the six who were portended to defeat the malevolent evil being. I enjoyed listening to this series with Samantha Brentwood, Jason Clarke and Lee Samuels narrating the three books.
