Publisher's summary

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today best-selling author Devney Perry comes a second-chance small-town romance.

Talia Eden loved Foster Madden for one year, two months, and eleven days. It was on day 438 that her love died. The day he chose to marry her best friend. The day she vowed never to think of Foster again.

Until years later, when he has the audacity to show up in her small hometown of Quincy, begging for her help.

The ink on his divorce papers is barely dry, yet he comes armed with apologies and promises. She knows it’s all a ploy. Foster is the king of games and secrets. But he’s got delusions the size of Montana if he thinks she’ll help him train for a world championship fight.

Except Talia has forgotten exactly what made Foster famous. The man has dedicated his life to victory. He’s steadfast. He’s determined. And he won’t stop fighting until he’s won her heart.

I wanted it to be better

I am a huge fan of Devney Perry where I do not hesitate when it comes to purchasing her books, but with that said I am on the fence about this one. The actual story line is much better than the delivery of it. Foster had a much better story that Talia who came across as whiney and insecure to me, I get why she was that way but the constant review of her thoughts was annoying, way too much overthinking out loud. Of the series this one is my least favorite. I wanted to like it way more than I did. I do feel that Jasper and Emila have a story coming.

My favorite so far!!

Foster and Talia take second chance romance and make it feel like a fresh start and truly new beginnings. Talia is carrying this emotional wall around with her, and it was beautiful to watch Foster chip away at her fears and doubts. Garnet Flats reeled me in from the very first chapter, and kept me on my toes all the way through the epilogue! Just when you think you know what Talia and Foster will face next, you’re given another piece of the puzzle that makes it all make a little more sense. Devney Perry has the ability to make you want to pack and move to these small towns that she writes about. I love the town, the people, and the romance! I Highly recommend getting lost in second chances with Garnet Flats! Connor Crais is audio gold!!! Cindy Kay is new to me, and I will be looking to listen to more from her.

Really Enjoyed This One!

I was not expecting this story to be what it was... I really enjoyed these characters and their story.
I love the way Devney writes her stories and the way they flow. She will capture your attention in the first few pages and keeps you hanging on till the end...

I am excited to see what is next in this series!

Loved the NARRATION on the audio of this one!

Say it with me….awwww

I love the Eden family of Quincy, MT and was patiently waiting for this story!!! Dr. Talia Eden has always been the quiet sibling and a workaholic. Then MMA fighter Foster Madden shows up in Quincy with a ring in his pocket. Turns out that our Talia is a bit of a dark horse w secrets!!! Love how the love story of Talia and Foster evolved. There was a lot to forgive, and it was slow going, but worth it. Great HEA…now to wait for Eloise’s story, the teaser is driving me crazy…lol.

Super fan of Devney Perry

All of Devney Perry series are so good. I fall in love with the families, towns, and supporting characters. I am eager to hear Eloise’s story next.
Enjoyed Connor’s performance in this narration, however Cindy sounded petulant and whiny at times. It took awhile to acclimate to her tone and style. I listen at 1.3 speed.

Second Chances

Part of a series about the Eden family set in a Montana mountain town. It’s about second chances and big gestures. There was an underlying story of coercion and a lack of integrity of side characters I didn’t care for. I loved catching up on the previous Eden family members.

I listened via audio and loved the narrating by Connor Crais.

Short and sweet

I loved the first two in this series so much. This wasn’t bad at all. Just too simple for me compared to the first two books. Still enjoyed it and can’t wait for the fourth book! I love this world!

Slow start but worth it

Slow start but worth it. The drama was a bit drawn out 🙄 but I guess it wouldn’t be drama otherwise. Foster and Talia get a happy ending ❤️

Raw and Cute

DESCRIPTION:
Talia: She found the love of her life only to have him break her heart. She left and never saw him again.. that was until 7 years later he showed up at the hospital she worked at asking for her.

Foster: He was finally free and was able to get divorced. He took off to win the heart of the girl he has only truly loved. Will she want him back??

MY THOUGHTS:
Another great book! I am loving this series and to be honest I love all the books so far! I cannot pick a favorite. These stories are so beautiful written! This book was about the 3rd oldest Eden sibling Talia. She thought she found the love of her life then shit happened and she went to medical school and here it is 7 years later and he comes back into her life. The love that is between these two is soo raw and sooo cute! The twist that takes place in this book!! Gosh i was mad for her! But then things get explained then you get mad for the both of them!
