Publisher's summary

“How long do you last in bed?” Those were her first words to me, swiftly followed up with, “And how big would you say you are?”

Cue the record scratching, what?

Persephone Alexander. Math genius. Lover of blazers. The only girl I know who can make Heidi braids look sexy as hell. And she’s on a mission. Lose her virginity by the end of the semester.

I walked in on her interview session for potential candidates (who even does that?) and saw straight through her brave front. She’s got a list of firsts to accomplish, like she’s only got months to live.

I’ve decided to be her guide for all her firsts, except one. Someone’s got to keep her out of trouble. I have one rule, no sex. We even shook on it.

I’ll help her find the right guy for the job. Someone like her doesn’t need someone like me and my massive...baggage for her first time.

Drinking at a bar. Check.

Partying all night. Double check.

Skinny dipping. Triple check.

She’s unlike anyone I’ve ever met. The walls I’d put up around my heart are slowly crumbling with each touch that sets fire to my soul.

I’m the first to bend the rules. One electrifying kiss changes everything, and suddenly, I don’t want to be her first, I want to be her only. But her plan was written before I came onto the scene, and now, I’m determined to get her to rewrite her future with me.

love these two

I loved this book when I read it and I love it even more listening to it. The narrators were great for these 2 characters and their performance was spot on in my opinion.

Seph is a socially awkward genious with an expiration date of her freedom away from home. Reece has his eye on the prize and won't let anyone derail his plans. A chance encounter throws them both for a loop and now they can't stop thinking about the other. Neither has the perfect home life and both have expectations to live up to, but is that their true path to happiness?

I have loved all the books in this series and other works by Maya Hughes and I'm very glad this is on audible. I highly recommend this book and these narrators.

Cute, funny and light hearted

I really enjoyed this book. There were moments in the book that made me laugh out loud and a few that made me tear up. If I can get both those emotions in a book then it’s definitely a good one!

Don’t believe everything you read

So before purchasing this book I read reviews like always and people were not happy with how it didn’t go into detail about Reece’s dad and their relationship. No it’s not spelled out for you but you can totally read between the lines and piece it together. I would have liked to know more about what happened with Seth’s dad and his reactions with everything and her mom coping with everything. Once you get through the book you will know what I’m talking about. I enjoyed the book and looking forward to the next one.

The Perfect First (again, for me!)

I'm one of those people that love reading. I read this book when it first released. I enjoyed Seph's quirky, awkward, innocence on the page. I loved the nerd and the jock chemistry. I loved their shared experiences. Reese became more than the stereotypical jock. He made you believe in him as a man and a partner. Bumps along the way not forgotten. So when I saw this book I enjoyed, on a campus I tried to find and enroll at, was now an audiobook....I may have snatched it up like a dollar bill found floating through a parking lot. #notevenalittlebitsorry

To hear Reese and Seph's first conversation come to life was absolutely the masterpeice Maya Hughes intended it to be. I turned 14 shades of red for Seph and then lost my mind. It doesn't matter if touve read it before once, twice, or tou are a newbie, Fulton U and its band of miscreants will capture your heart, your mind, and definitely your interest.

Amazing

I loved this story so much. The two main characters are absolutely perfect for each other, even though they might not have ever thought it if not for the unconventional way they came together. I’m can’t wait for book number 4 that is coming out soon! The narration was awesome and I’m so happy that I used a credit on this.

Super cute story ruined by bad narrators!

The narration is horrible on this one. Jason Clarke makes Reece sound like he’s a 40-year-old giving a boring lecture on bike safety and Emma Wilder is just awful. She isn’t a fav of mine anyway, but definitely doesn’t match a 18/19-year-old Seph. And she reads every sentence like it’s the climax of the story. Ugh.
SKIP THE AUDIO. Read the book. Your own voice in your head is better than this could ever be.

Try this one for "Perfect First" from Maya Hughes

If you have not read a Maya Hughes book?audible yet, this would make the "Perfect First". A romantic, slow burn that grabs you right from the start. Seph is the epitome of the perfect nerd math genius. Reece is the all around man on campus -good looking, football hero headed for the pros. Seph has led a sheltered life under the watchful eye of her controlling father. Now that she is working for her PHd at the age of 20, she is away from home and ready to live her life and fulfill her wish list. She decides to hold interviews to find the one who is going to help her lose her virginity. Reece unknowingly walks into this and feels a draw to Seph. The romance that follows is so beautiful it just draws you in. You will certainly want more from this group of friends and from the romantic mind of Maya Hughes. Emma Wilder and Jason Clarke are spot on with their portrayal of The Perfect Seph and Reece. Let their words carry you away to what was possibly your Perfect First.
