Publisher's summary

It was supposed to be a one-time thing, but I failed to divulge one little detail.

I was a virgin.

Bishop Bohanan was my first.

Now he’s demanding to be my one and only.

And he won’t take no for an answer.

Author’s Note: Secret Sin is a 25,000 word Byrne Brothers novella meant to be listened to after Silent Vows, in which the Secret Sin characters first appear. It is a dark romance with adult themes and may not be suitable for sensitive audiences. But if you’d enjoy a filthy-mouthed Irish mobster going up against a headstrong Italian heroine, this spicy mafia romance complete with a happily ever after will hit the spot! (You know the one.)

Amazing

Absolutely amazing.
I loved the story it didn’t leave you wanting more it gave you everything you needed to get that interest into the series. I already downloaded the next the series because I need to know.

The narrators were amazing. They kept me engaged the entire time I was listening. They did a wonderful job being the characters to life.

Good!

This is a quick one that you'll want to read after the rest of the series to avoid possible spoilers. It's fast-paced and will keep you pulled in from beginning to end and you'll find yourself with no choice but to finish it in one sitting!

The audiobook was wonderfully done and I highly suggest it if audio is your thing!

Love the series

So I love this series (I’m listening backwards actually) - the writing, the characters, the dialogue and the storylines are all top notch! That said this isn’t my favorite. There isn’t any mafia business (sorry, spoiler) in this one. I suppose it’s because this book is so short, but still kind of a let down given the other amazing books. While I did still like this one, I wish it wasn’t as pricey. I love Bishop and Pippa and the narrators are amazing! The story is a good one.

Loved From Start To Finish, Left Wanting More

I’m a lover of audiobooks. Ms. Sparks and Mr. Spires helped to bring our author’s characters to life. They are also new to me. It was great listening to people that I’d never heard before.

Ms. Sparks does a great job helping me get to know Pippa in a way that I couldn’t by reading her in a book. She does an exceptional job when she has to change her voice to convey what Bishop was feeling from Pippa’s point of view. Mr. Spires showed me why I need to expand my list of go to narrators. He helped me hear the frustration in Bishop’s voice when I couldn’t do that myself. He has a deep voice, and I loved the fact that he didn’t attempt a high-pitched voice when it came to speaking for a female character.

If you want to take your enjoyment of a book, or series, see if an audio version is available. One good thing about an audiobook is that you can get work done while still getting your story fix. The audio version also makes a commute, or even shopping trip, more pleasurable. And loving the series in the first place is just icing on the cake. In this case, having both versions takes me to my happy place.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

4.5 Stars Overall

This is the second book I've listened to by Jill Ramsower. A different series and missing out on the previous book/s (once again), but it truly works as a standalone. Of course we miss the connection to the other characters, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I was invested since it was so short. Novellas are hard to write as a full story. And I really liked the storyline. Not a typical mafia story like I'm used to reading/hearing. The characters were easy to like. I look forward to more from this series and author!

Gabriel Spires and Michelle Sparks are great narrators. I liked their voices and their performances were emotional. The Audiobook rolled like a movie in my head.

Nice Story

It was fun watching Pippa and Bishop interact. Watch their explosive chemistry. See how long it takes Pippa to realize she only wants Bishop. And wonder how many more ways Bishop can annoy Pippa while trying to convince her to give him a chance.

Secret Sin

My second book from Jill Ramsower and it was good but not great. The narration was off, Michelle Sparks is awesome but in this book she was way too old sounding nothing like a 21/22 year old young lady no offense to Michelle. As for Gabriel Spires he was fine.😉 For me the narration has to be spot on in order to sell the storyline and all of the emotions to make it a successful listening experience. You’re probably wondering if it’s worth the credit? Yes, kitten it’s worth it.💘

LOVE Pippa and Bishop’s story!!!

Wow, Bishop and Pippa’s story is definitely a hot one! This takes place mostly during the events that unfolded in Silent Vows (and definitely should be read after that book to avoid spoilers to that plot line). In the background of that story, we saw little peeks at Pippa and Bishop’s relationship, fiery and definitely curious. Here, we get the complete story, and I loved it!

Pippa kind of tricks Bishop into helping her dump her V-card, basically by not telling him before they hook up. She decides she wants him to be the start of her path of living her own life out from under the thumb of her mafia family. But Bishops reaction, not just in the moment but beyond, is not at all what Pippa was expecting. And ultimately, her own reaction takes her by surprise and kind of scares her a bit.

This is definitely a ‘he fall’s first’ kind of story, and I absolutely love Bishop all the more for it. Despite his tough as nails, and sexy as sin bravado, once he gets just that first taste, he suddenly finds himself all in, and even he doesn’t understand how he fell so hard and fast. They both make mistakes, he makes quite a doozy that is equal parts sweet and insane in it’s execution, but ultimately they find their way into each other’s arms where they clearly belong. This is a quick novella, but it’s packed with emotion and a faced paced plot that kept me fully engrossed from start to finish.

The narration is excellent, great voices for these characters, and really bringing out all the emotion from this story that you would want!

Pippa and Bishop

Secret Sin should be read after Silent Vows but honestly, it stands alone pretty well. We met both Bishop and Pippa in Silent Vows, Pippa is Noemi's cousin and Bishop is a part of Connor's organization, so they are familiar with each other. When the two of them have a spicy encounter Pippa is down for a one night stand but when Bishop discovers she was a virgin he decides that he will be her one and only. I love the two of them together Pippa is fun and saucy, Bishop is over the top protective and possessive which makes their interactions fun and hot.

Perfection!

I didn’t realize how much I wanted to joke about what happened with Pippa and Bishop. This was so damn good. I need Jill to never stop writing this series. The narrators was great as well. Michelle Sparks had Pippa’s voice on point! Gabriel Spires didn’t have to do Bishop so good. So disrespectful lol! Disrespectfully good!
