Family comes first

Wow - just wow. Richard and Katy's saga continues and the twists and turns will leave you breathless. Family is always a priority - even when Richard is thrown for a loop. Melanie Moreland brings angst and emotion to the man we have all fallen in love with. But in true Richard and Katy fashion the duo take on this unforeseen issue and deals with it with compassion, integrity and gusto. Once again the listener will just fall in love Richard VanRyan again and again. If you loved the couple in the first three stories you are not going to want to miss this one too. This is a MUST LISTEN!!! Maxine Mitchell and John Lane ARE Katy and Richard - perfection.

Taut drama, raw emotions, and a whopper of a twist

Richard and Katy are a very special couple and I that is because over the course of this series we truly get to experience so much of their lives. The highs, the lows, the triumphs and the tragedies. Add in the fact that this duo is truly a perfect blend of sweet, steamy, sassy and genuine and that makes them feel like close friends or even family. I really enjoyed this new look into their lives. Taut drama, raw emotions, and one whopper of a twist create a story that generates boatloads of feels will have you completely consumed and hanging on every single word. I warn you, this book is a definite heart tugger!

A great addition to the series

Returning to a couple and series that are well loved is always a risk, but Melanie Moreland did a fantastic job with this newest Contract series book.

I loved getting more Richard and Katy as well as their family and other familiar characters. I was hooked from the beginning, and I liked getting to see how their relationship has continued to stay strong. This story was full of emotion, romance, and drama. Despite being together for years there is more for Richard and Katy to face, but I had faith they'd find their way through it all.

Melanie's an excellent storyteller and I really enjoyed this one! The audiobook is well narrated and an easy listen. Though this is probably the end of the Contract series, I hope we continue to see these characters in the second generation ABC Corp series.

PAST ACTIONS BRING EMOTIONAL CONSEQUENCES!

This audio book was narrated so good! I loved the voices of John Lane and Maxine Mitchell, they did an excellent job of portraying the emotions in this book!

We all thought that The Contract Series was done, but nothing is ever "done" with Melanie. Her characters are like family that are ever present and forever popping up in another book as well as in our minds and hearts💕 . Truth. And, well Richard and his family are always in the BAM and ABC series. But this 3rd book (actually the 4th) caught us all by surprise because of the total WHAM Factor it delivered!

Richard and Katy are the perfect couple NOW. Of course we know they most definitely weren't in the beginning if you read The Contract #1. Life can be so good, but there is always a chance your past can pop up and surprise you. Especially if you have a past like Richard's, one that he is not at all proud of. The past can rear it's ugly head but yet, if you look closely, there can sometimes be an uncut diamond underneath. It's how you handle that diamond that determines the course of your life and others. Richard has to prove he has genuinely changed into the man he has professed and presented to everyone.

I loved this book. There are no heroes or villains. Just humans trying to forge their way through some difficult and trying times and come out better than they were before. And Melanie has done a remarkable job, making us cry, laugh, and melt inside with the love this VanRyan family has. Fantastic book but keep the tissues handy! There is also a wonderful romance happening amidst all the turmoil. Gotta love life!

NOTE: I read this on Radish, and if you did, too, this has some extra that was not in it on that site. Worth the second or third read!

Emotional journey

For the first time since I started reading Melanie Moreland's books, I had to walk away and collect myself before returning to the book. Not because it's not good. It's nothing less than I expect from a book by this author. Instead, it's because I connected a little too well with The Addendum. I can relate to Ashley's story on a very personal level. Of course, there are some differences, but the important stuff is eerily similar. So, I know those feelings, good and bad, because I felt them myself. So, when Ashley reveals herself, I had to take a break. Then there were a few more times as the story progressed, and I certainly shed my share of tears. That said, I at no time entertained the idea of not finishing this book. I love these characters. All of them, from Richard and Katy to the many blended families of BAM, I feel like they're old friends and I do visit with them from time to time. So, yes, parts of this were a bit hard for me, and I realize I've been vague but I'm trying not to give too much away. I would highly recommend this whole series, and when you get to this one? Well, let me just say that the many emotions touched on were all spot on. My family and I can speak to that because we felt them. Besides the elements I've mentioned, this is a book about not one, but 2 couples. One reaching retirement age and one just starting out. I love that both had that fire and passion between them. I love that Richard and Katy are still as attracted to each other as they've ever been. And for me, The Contract series just moved up another notch on my favorites list (not that it was ever far from the top).
Just as I suspected, The Addendum was just as emotional for me in audio as it was when I read it. Of course, the extraordinary performances by Maxine Mitchell and John Lane add to the oomph the book already has. I've had the pleasure of listening to both Mitchell and Lane several times now, and I'm always impressed. Combined with the wonderful words of Melanie Moreland, and an already terrific story deserves all the stars and then some.

Bittersweet.

A bittersweet ending to an unforgettable love story. Richard and Katy hold a special place in my heart. Their romance introduced me to the captivating world and irresistible players in the Melanie Moreland saga of heart. Through the eyes of love I fell and have never looked back. It's nice to know that some things never change, yet just get better with time.

Emotional overload

The dynamic duo that is John Lane and Maxine Mitchell have taken Melanie Moreland’s phenomenal storytelling and elevated it to extraordinary levels. Richard VanRyan is a character that is complex and has shown so much growth since The Contract. John has captured his essence and his performance was amazing. Maxine never fails and performed outstandingly. This audiobook had me feeling every emotion tenfold which made the experience exponentially greater than the ebook. Hearing it brought each character to life, experiencing their emotions as the story went on. The ups and downs, twists and turns had me reeling. I love the authors writing style as she has the ability to draw me in with her fabulous words and realistic storylines. The love this family share is as heartfelt and memorable as each character. This is one journey you do not want to miss.

A wonderful conclusion to the series

I was so excited for The Addendum ( The Contract #3) and I wasn’t disappointed, this story was everything I expected and so much more. Being back in the life of the man I loved to hate Richard Van Ryan and his adorable wife Katy and their grown up children took over my life and I was captivated from the moment I picked this book up and I wasn’t going to stop reading until I had read the final word.
Maxine Mitchell and John Lane were the perfect duo to narrate this emotion journey. They brought the characters and their story to life, they hit every emotion and their tones made it a joy to listen to.
Melanie Moreland is one of my favourite authors and once again she has blown me away with this book that’s full of surprises. The man she had us hating was made into a man we fell in love with only to find his past has now caught up with him so will Katy be strong enough to wether the storm about to hit their doorstep……one click to find out.
I loved everything about this beautifully written journey and I’m sure you will too.

A great audible for a great story

The Addendum is the continuous of the story of the man that I first hated and then loved completely. With Katy guiding the way Richard has become the ultimate family man but
sometimes the past comes back bringing surprises that can change the family dynamic.
I loved. Held my breath and cried all while reading this fantastic story. The epilogue is everything
This is definitely a must read and if you never read The Contract run and grab it now!
The audible is great so many choices for a good story!
