Publisher's summary

After a car accident almost killed Breanna Perry, she gets a second chance at life. When Cormac O’Shea enters her hospital room and asks her, “Do you want to live?”, she says yes. However, she isn’t prepared for what that simple word will mean, or what she’s about to lose.

No longer able to pretend she can have her old life back, Breanna is faced with leaving it all behind and accepting an immortal existence. Unfortunately, that existence comes with some challenging obstacles.

Helping her rival, Amber Wright, navigate the superhero world is only one of her problems, but when she realizes that Alan Siegel, the San Quentin murderer, just might make good on getting released from prison, she confronts the real possibility that he might go on a killing spree, one only she can stop. Then he asks her to continue as his psychiatrist. Can I get homicidal murderers for a thousand, Alex?

Then there’s Cassius—sexy, brooding, green-eyed Cassius—who has become the single most important person in her life. When Cassius’ ex-wife pops back into the picture, will Breanna be able to do the one thing she is sure she can’t do?

Will she be able to let him go?

Finish this exciting trilogy with The Moon Mage.

An Awesome Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it extremely entertaining. The last book of this trilogy is excellent. It answers all questions and finishes up loose ends. Even though Breanna and Cassius as lives are still in chaos, they are more settled now then in the past. The characters are even more interesting in the third book as their personalities develop. This series has something for everyone, suspense, drama, mystery, humour and a touch of romance. This combination of author and narrator creates pure enjoyment. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next trilogy as this story continues.

3rd of Series

I’m really enjoyed this series but highly recommend you read/listen to the 2 books to get the full effect. I like the characters especially Breanna and Cassius who had been given special powers by Cormac when they were near death, and they will outlive their family. They are trying to understand their situation and have used them to help save people and now meet Lachlan who wants to teach them about their powers and how to use them. This book has a lot of humor especially due to Levi (Brenna’s ex), Brenna who is trying to help rival Amber control her powers, but she also needs help controlling her own and tries to keep Siegel in prison. I would like to see more with these characters. Good narration. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you

M. L. Hamilton & Kelley Hazen have done it again

M. L. Hamilton and narrator Kelley Hazen have done it again. In Book 3 of the Moonlight Trilogy: The Moon Mage, they again share the lives of Brenna Perry and Cassius Teran in their latest adventure to protect the world from evil while building their relationships with family and friends. In typical M. L. Hamilton fashion, you will be captured on the first page and fall deeper in enthralled to the very last word. Enjoy.

A very good ending to the trilogy

The Moon Mage, the third and last installment in The Moonlight Trilogy, is a very good ending to the set.

Breanna is still learning how to tackle her powers, having panic attacks from time to time (which make me cringe, really:)) but finally finding a way to get herself under control. Cassius, while fighting his own demons, slowly becomes her pillar of strength. Both are finally able to decide what they are and what they are not (sorry for the slightly mystical description, but I want to avoid spoilers:)). The overall plot of this part is - as was also with the previous two books - fast paced, quite complex, with a few great surprises. The final scene, wonderfully written, while allowing for further stories to develop totally closes this particular story line - which I like because it allows ME to decide if I want to continue with the universe or not:)

As before, I still am not sure if I really like Breanna; her mood swings and going up and down from total professionalism to a complete childish hysteria are irritating as hell, but they also keep you going - you never know how she'll react to what's happening... (And there's A LOT happening in this book:)). But, I like the fact that we can see "the other side", sometimes quite unexpected, of some characters we got to know in the previous books and that the new characters seem to be as interesting and intriguing.

Narration by Ms Hazen as always adds gravity to all the characters - the irritating ones seem even more irritating (to the point you'd like to punch them:)), the sweet ones sound even nicer, and the evil ones are really creepy:) And as usual, the pace of her reading is just the right one (or even if you speed it up a bit, you don't lose anything in the process, such a clear narration it is:)).

Generally, grab the book and see how it all ends:)

Great Read

The Moon Mage (The Moonlight Trilogy #3) was a great read by M.L. Hamilton. Breanna Perry got a second chance at life, after a car accident almost killed her. Cormac O'Shea asks her if she wants to live; but she never would've guessed what she would lose in the process. Breanna is now faced with leaving everything behind and accepting that she is immortal. She is trying to help her rival, Amber Wright, navigate the superhero world. Alan Siegel, a murderer at San Quentin, may wind up getting out of prison. It forces her to face the possibility that he could go on a killing spree. Cassius has quickly become the most important person in her life. Unfortunately his ex-wife ends up popping back into the picture. I loved the life that Kelley Hazel brings to the characters. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author.

great story line

This is the first time I've given M.L. Hamilton less than a 5. The story line is so good but so much time and character development in books 2 and 3 are around stereotypical female hysteria, tears, anger and inability to reason. Framing the heroine as someone who can't manage her professional or personal life was a conflict for me. I found myself both irritated and wanting to continue the books to see the resolution. Kelly Hazen is such a good narrator that she put the authors intended drama into her reading which made my skin crawl every time 'Breanna" screeched in anger or her sister yelled in demanding condescension. Still i truly enjoyed the plot line and wished it could have been developed with more strength and reason in the main character.
