Publisher's summary

His mission was seduction—not falling in love.

When young Sebastian Brambani meets a sexy and exciting older man, he's easily seduced. But for spy Kyle Grant, it's all business. Sebastian is simply a pawn in Kyle's mission to acquire a dangerous chemical weapon from Sebastian's criminal father. Kyle's life is his work for a shadowy international agency protecting the world from evil, and he can't worry about what will happen to Sebastian when the job is done.

Sebastian's unwitting role in Kyle's plan is the last straw for his ruthless father, who has been embarrassed by his gay son for the last time. But when Kyle discovers Sebastian could be the key to finding the deadly Chimera, he rescues him from his father's hitman and fights to keep him alive. Can a hardened spy and naïve college student take down a criminal kingpin, stay one step ahead of the killers on their trail—and fight the scorching attraction between them?

Contains mature themes.

What An Adventure!

Kyle and Sebastian took us for a colorful adventure, full of twists and turns and a lot of the soundtrack of James Bond playing as we follow along. Joel Leslie narrated it quite masterfully. I enjoyed listening to this one.

Spy Novel

Can you hear the theme music? This book was written in the same style as James Bond except the spy, Kyle Grant, prefers to charm attractive men instead of women. Also, as we romance listeners like, there’s something special about Sebastian, the particular young man he meets. Kyle and Sebastian spend the whole time trying to safely get their hands on the dangerous chimera before it can be used by evil do-ers… All the while, being chased and shot-at by the bad guys. Will Kyle and Sebastian obtain the chimera without losing their lives? Will perpetual-bachelor, Kyle, fall for and settle down with Sebastian?

Many of my favorite MM books were written by Keira Andrews. I’m a huge fan and feel like I have been spoiled by her. I was disappointed this book was missing the slow burn within her other books. It couldn’t have been any other way, though, due to the main character and style of novel. During chapter 5, I left and listened to something else before coming back. This says a lot, considering my repeat listens of her other books such as Valor. Those are the books I reach for when others are disappointing.

As always, Joel Leslie’s performance was superb.

Decent afternoon listen

What can I say? Good old fashioned Stockholm syndrome-ish gay smut. Not saying this as a bad thing. It's a fun listen; great as a pallet cleanser between those other less carefree books. Wasn't a fan of the narrator, but he's apparently the darling for all gay audibles so just gotta suck it up and cope. Overall, I found the book fun and I don't regret having listened to it.

Not happy with the end

I liked this book, story, relationship between main characters, narration (Joel Leslie never disappoints),but there was something not appealing about end. I understand that author wanted to continue this series, but it wasn't cliffhanger and it wasn't hea. Even with additional story, somehow the end was blah, not special and also without the feeling that I want more. Hopefully there will be next book, to prove me wrong.

Fun romantic adventure

Fun international romantic adventure story. Masculine tough characters and very well read. Recommended for those who enjoy this genre.

Intriguing Mystery

I've had this story on my tbr list for quite a while. I'm so glad that I finally got to it. This is an intriguing mystery and it looks like this is going to be a good series. I can't wait for more. The great narration by Joel Leslie added so much to the experience.
