Publisher's summary

A sexy, hilarious, emotional new romance from New York Times best-selling author Emma Chase.

Connor Daniels never thought he’d be starting at dating square one again. His career as a successful doctor, and his three boys, are everything to him. It’s not exactly a setup conducive to a scorching love life - but he’s giving it a shot.

ER nurse Violet Robinson never intended for Connor to find out she’s had a crush on him forever. It was a dirty little secret only meant for her dirty dreams. Her heart trips every time he’s around - and so do her feet.

When Connor sees Violet coasting across the grocery store parking lot - and she falls on her face - he starts falling for the gorgeous young nurse right back.

Dating can be tricky. And life can be beautiful and crazy and unpredictable. But when it gets real, you discover what matters most...and the one person you want loving you through it all.

soooooo gooood!!!!!!!

I had been waiting for a few weeks for this release and it didn't disappoint! I out loud belly laughed more than once throughout this awesome performance. My husband and I created a blended family with 4 boys total ages 21, 19, 18 and 8 and this couldn't have been any more accurate in how they communicate with each other. Emma way to go!!!

Word choice is important

A broader vocabulary would be nice. overusing F@$# lacks creativity and cheapens the love story.

Fantastic story and peformance

This is Connor and Violet's story in the Getting series. Well written, I loved both their ways of seeing life. The book made me have a smile on my lips for the great part, and made me feel the angst when needed.

Amazing performance of both narrators, they've done a wonderful job with this book.

I loved the book as much as Getting Schooled and Getting Played.

one of my favorites audiobooks this year!

I freaking loved this one!
Seriously... It was the perfect rom-com to listen after a not so good book 😂😂
It saved my mood!

Connor and Violet story is so sweet and so incredible that i couldn't help but fall in love with them too!
This one became my favorite in the series, and I know that I've skipped Dean's book, but I'll totally listen to it too, because i can't get enough of these people!

Connor is a doctor, a father, a divorced and burned good man that deserved the world! I love him, and I love his boys. I can totally understand Violet crush on him and I loved how things happened so organically between them.

Violet is a sweetheart... A selfless nurse that is always the first in line to help anyone! She's an amazing addition to Connor's family, and their just perfect for each other!

There's a few really emotional moments in this book, and they caught me off guard with the amount of feelings they brought up to the surface inside my brain.
I've got tears in my eyes!

God, I loved this book!

This is my first book from Emma Chase and I am so gonna read/listen to more of them in the future.
There are times in life when you really need a moment, a person or a thing (like a book, a song or a movie) to lift you up and put you into a happy place. That was this book for me.
Loved the writing. The topic. The pace. It is naturally developing and touching so many topics I rarely see in other books because very seldom are there books about parents, or if they are, their parenthood is like a distant blop on the radar. Which in real life is not. Totally the opposite.
Furthermore I love the fact they are real people with real, natural lives. They go to work, sync schedules, have natural, relatable problems, worries and concerns.
I am probably biased because the last month I read or listen to dukes and billionaires, and while those stories have their “fairytale” charm, it is hard to relate to them or to hope (at an age close to Connor’s) that will ever happen to you. Maybe when I was younger, but right now? This down to earth natural romance? Yeah. Totally worth it.
I won’t start another book until tomorrow, because I want to cross the threshold of year 2022 with this awesome, wholesome feeling, that everything is gonna be alright.

listened to all 3 in series

I have listened to hundreds of audio books. I have chosen to hear these three 4-5 times each, years apart, and I have no doubt I will listen to them again. I'm in my 50's and some of the romantic books are just too young. Clearly, by how many times I've enjoyed these books that is not true. Emma Chase I'm waiting for the next one!

Story kept my attention

A little too graphic sex, I fast forwarded through some of it, but enjoyed the characters and storyline.

kept my attention

I listened to this as long as could through out day until the end.
I always enjoy these two narrators, and their performances were well done as always.

story: It was a good line, modern, found myself laughing out loud at certain lines, certainly relatable characters, however I found that there was no surprise element that the author was trying to do. Just saw it coming. like the music in the movies do the tail tell.
but that's one person's opinion.
