Publisher's summary

Two hot guys. One desert island.

Even if it means quitting their boy band mid-tour, Troy Tanner isn't going to watch his little brother snort his future away after addiction destroyed their father. On a private jet taking him home from Australia, he and pilot Brian Sinclair soar above the vast South Pacific. Brian lost his passion for flying - and joy in life - after a traumatic crash, but now he and Troy must fight to survive when a cyclone strikes without warning.

Marooned a thousand miles from civilization, the turquoise water and white sand beach look like paradise. But although they can fish and make fire, the smallest infection or bacteria could be deadly. When the days turn into weeks with no sign of rescue, Troy and Brian grow closer - and friendship deepens into desire.

As they learn sexuality is about more than straight or gay and discover their true selves, the world they've built together is thrown into chaos. If Troy and Brian make it off the island, can their love endure?

Contains mature themes.

a bit cheesy, but lovely

I enjoy the novel, though moments are a bit unrealistic in a family sitcom kind of way. YA novel with descriptive and purposefully-inoffensive sex.

Fun!

Super fun story. They made such a cute couple. The drama on the island didn't overshadow the chemistry between the two and it made it a very enjoyable.

Loved this one

Gah! I swear I can’t count how many times I’ve said, “I don’t really like GFY” - but this is Keira Andrews & Greg Boudreaux, so I snagged it. And I loved it. Slooooww burn, but so well done. With a plane crash this has a great thriller/suspense aspect to create tension. It’s a nice mix of Brian & Troy fighting the elements, mourning their pasts, bearing their souls, joking and laughs, and beginning to love each other. It’s absolutely fiction, but so *real* at the same time.

I love Greg Boudreaux as a narrator. Honestly, there were a few times where I wish he had better differentiated Brian & Troy’s voices - but still a solid narration.

Beyond the Expectations

On discord, I saw a screenshot of a news story about two men stranded on a deserted island with a replied tweet asking if the two men touched each other. Referring to the screenshot, the discord user said “This story was a book by Kiera Andrews”. I thought the comment was hilarious. And then, I found out there really was a book by Kiera Andrews on this premise.

I had recently read a good book by this author. With the good reviews, and one of my favorite narrators, I thought I should listen… even though the premise sounded a little cheesy.

This book greatly exceeded my expectations!

With the two characters being stranded, there’s not much room for secondary characters for most of the story. This leaves a ton of character development. The two men are able to find food, shelter, and water, though they run into danger and injuries. They see each other at their worst and work together as a team. Through their bonding, they end up falling in love. After being rescued from the two months on the Island, can their love last in the real world?

I absolutely recommend this audiobook.

Amazing

Greg never fails to astound me with how absolutely AMAZING he is and how each and every book he does, he fills it with just so much emotion.
I loved this book and have a physical copy that I’ve reread so many times, but hearing the voices, the pain and the love? It just takes it to a whole different level.
Absolute perfection.

Heartwrenching and heartwarming

I love this book. I've read it several times. Keira Andrews write such amazing stories. I was very happy listening to the audio book narrated by my favorite narrator Greg Boudreaux/Tremblay.

What Troy and Brian went through on that island was heartwrenching to be a part of, but their love warmed my heart.

Highly recommend.

Well paced and fascinating

Loved the wild beginning, and especially enjoyed the pacing throughout. This is a slow build, strangers to companions, to friends, to eventual lovers. I appreciated that the story stayed true to the long build that so few manage to stick with. There is no insta-love/lust here, and that makes the story so much bigger and better. Greg Boudreaux narrates this with his usual vibrancy, and adds an extra dimension. Well done.
