Publisher's summary

She thinks sports figures make bad role models. He's her nephew's new baseball coach.

Julie’s life is thrown a curve ball when her brother arrives the night before his seven-month deployment asking her to take care of his son. As a preschool teacher, she’s used to dealing with toddlers, not nine-year-olds. Noting her nephew’s interest in baseball, Julie signs him up for little league. She’s anything but thrilled to find out his coach is a celebrity.

Eric returned to St Marys to lick his wounds and start over. But even in his hometown, he’s known more for his unfortunate appearance on a reality dating show than for his seven years in the major leagues. All he has to show for that poor decision is an ex-wife and a broken heart.

Julie’s obvious disapproval makes her the perfect choice for his team mom. If she doesn’t like him, she won’t cause any problems. But will that be enough to keep his growing interest in her in check? And as Julie’s preconceived notions about sports figures slowly unravel, will she be able to resist the man behind the public persona?

Team Mom

So enjoyed this book. Only wish it covered their wedding instead of jumping 2 years ahead.

Taking a chance in love

My favorite part of this book was the friendship and connection between the main characters. They acted like adults and found trust in each other through constant work and a leap of faith. Plus, it’s swoony. First book from this author for me. I’m familiar with the narrator and think she’s awesome.

Sweet story, nice narration

Really enjoyable story with a HEA. The story was very sweet, little drama, clean romance.

The narrator was easy to listen to and brought the story to life.

Team Mon

When her brother asks Julie to watch over her nephew Jordan while he is deployed, if course she accepts. While she loves her nephew, preschool teacher,Julie is not used to nine year old boys. Hoping to make him happy, Julie enrolls Jordan in the town's little league baseball program. Unfortunately, Julie is not impressed with the team's coach.

Eric, a former major league baseball player, returns to his home town to escape a failed marriage and to coach little league baseball. Knowing that Julie isn't his biggest fan, he chooses her to be the team's mom. The two are quickly able to get passed their differences and their friendship begins to develop into more.

I had read this book previously and was excited to get the opportunity to listen to the audio version. I think that this was the first book that I had read by author Delaney Cameron, but I do know that it wasn't the last. Narrator VIcki Pierce did a great job narrating the book and bring the characters to life. I was given this audio book at my request and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion in this review.

A Sweet Clean Romance - light and breezy

“Team Mom” by Delaney Cameron
I do love a sweet clean romance… I started reading this audiobook and somehow got sidetracked about half way through… So, I started over again from the beginning and I am glad I did. I picked up on some things I think I missed the first time. It was good witnessing Julie and Eric grow into even better people because of each other. Don’t waste your life/time lamenting the past. Learn from your past and use what you have learned to grow your life into what will bring joy and happiness to you and those you hold close to your heart. Happy Reading ! !

Enjoyable!!!

What a wonderful story! Family, career, dreams, and eccentric couple – I love their banter. What fun! And the love story … sigh … dreams come true!

Team Player

I was pleasantly surprised with this book, I didn’t really know going into it what I would get but what I found was very likable characters. Julie takes on a parenting role of her nephew who is 9 because her brother gets deployed. It really isn’t a book about that it is more about the struggles of raising a child who isn’t hers and connecting with him. She signs him up for baseball knowing he likes it and she becomes the Team mom hence the name and the coach well he isn’t too shabby.

I really like the connection and the friendship Julie and Eric strike up. I was invested and happy when things when my way. I really enjoyed the writing and though this is more on the cleaner side of romance it really did hold my interest and I didn’t feel like I was missing anything intimacy. I would 100% read more books by this author and by the narrator I think she too did a great job giving each character their own voice without overdoing it.
