Publisher's summary

At 73 years young, number-one New York Times best-selling author and health guru Suzanne Somers has established herself as a leading voice on antiaging. With A New Way to Age, she “is at the forefront again, bringing seminal information to people, written in a way that all can understand” (Ray Kurzweil, author of How to Create a Mind) with this revolutionary philosophy for a longer and better-quality life that will make you feel like you’ve just had the best checkup ever.

There is a new way to age. I’m doing it, and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I love this stage of my life: I have "juice", joy, wisdom, and perspective; I have energy, vitality, clearheadedness, and strong bones.

Most of us are far too comfortable with the present paradigm of aging, which normalizes pills, nursing homes, and “the big three”: heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer’s disease. But you don’t have to accept this fate. Now there’s a new way to grow older - with vibrancy, freedom, confidence, and a rockin’ libido. This health bible from Suzanne Somers will explain how to stop aging like your parents and embrace cutting-edge techniques such as: balancing nutritional and mineral deficiencies; detoxifying your gut for weight loss; pain management with non-THC cannabis instead of harmful opioids; and much more.

Aging well is mainly about the choices you make on a daily basis. It can be a fantastic process if you approach it wisely. After a lifetime of research, Suzanne came to a simple conclusion: what you lose in the aging process must be replaced with natural alternatives. In order to thrive, you have to rid your body of chemicals and toxins. Start aging the new way today by joining Suzanne and her trailblazing doctors as they all but unearth the fountain of youth.

Geared toward a wealthier girl than me

I love Suzanne's enthusiasm but don't have the resources to jet in for an appointment. Some good takeaways, though.

If you want to know what it will take to stay healthy for your entire life, this book is a must read.

Suzanne takes us on a journey of her personal experience by introducing us to the medical doctors and their understanding and experiences about human health, different from anything you’ll hear or learn at a tradition doctors office. The interviews and discussion with the doctors will give you a valuable education that can help to steer you toward lifelong health in a supremely positive direction.

Informative

This book had a lot of good information. I wasn't open to bioidentacle hormones until reading this book. The narrator wasn't bad, but I would of preferred Susan Somers herself. Overall worth the read!

A dictionary of health!

You’ve probably heard of‘ a miracle in a jar‘. Well this new Suzanne Somers book is literally‘ a miracle in a book‘! I have already purchased a number of supplements to help improve my health. I am 69 years old for a few more months! And I, too, want to age with energy and vitality. One of the great finds I read about in this book was a grounding sheet. After reading lots of information on different websites, I ordered one and have been sleeping like the cat in front of a roaring fire! Love everything about this and have basically listened to it three times already. Three words of advice: purchase, purchase, purchase!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BUT ELITIST FACTORS

Susanne Sommers does a good job of pointing out how toxic environmental factors in our air, food, and water impact the physical body as well as aging. She is thorough in providing many alternative ways to combat both aging and decline in health. However, how many of us can afford these procedures? This is what makes the book elitist. Probably only the top 1% of the country can afford to fly to the locations and pay the out of pocket prices for specialized blood tests and the cutting edge medicine she recommends. Much of America struggles to put food on the table without paying several hundred dollars a month in suggested supplementation. I also sense the undertones of thinking that aging is a bad thing rather something human and that one can do with grace and good health habits.
