Summary
Money is my mistress.
Solving problems, my trade.
Until the tables turn, and trouble finds me.
Now on the run, I need a plan.
But not before I’m blindsided by a pain-in-the-ass stranger.
Maggie.
Curves, startling blue eyes, and she hates me.
I don’t trust her, and with good reason.
My plan is simple: use her.
Then I kiss her. Touch her. Crave her.
She was my way out; now she’s my downfall.
Prophet is a full-length, stand-alone enemies-to-lovers romance with an HEA.

Wow, this was fantastic
I really enjoyed this book. From the very beginning it is non stop action. With this couple there is no easy route. They are absolutely perfect for each other. Savannah and Jason give a great performance.

Action-Packed and such a fun read!
Nick ‘Prophet’ is involved in some dangerous, criminal activities in order to provide for his sisters. When a deal goes wrong and he gets framed, he must race against time to find out who is behind it to clear his name and protect himself. Meanwhile, Maggie shows up unexpectedly. Is she innocent or is she a foe and working for those who framed him?
Prophet is the first book in the Scarred Hearts series. Each book can be read as a standalone.
This was such a fun read. I mean, it def had me on edge, and was action-packed. But, I enjoyed the ride, and, the ending was soo worth it! I especially loved the dislike-to-love aspects of their relationship! And I loved them getting vulnerable with each other. They both had difficult pasts, and were able to come together, solve the mystery of the story and also build their relationship! I def enjoyed this book!
Narrated by Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood. I throughly enjoyed the narration. Both narrators did an excellent job with the characterisations, and I was immersed in the story throughout.

Nick & Maggie
SM West is one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. I know when I pick up an audio of hers, I am in for a wild ride. And Prophet is no exception. Nick Prophet does work for some undesirable people and finds himself the pawn of one of those he does jobs for. Now he's a target, going to his sister's apartment to regroup and decide what the next move is. Maggie being there is not what he expected. Leaving, she gives him the chance to stay overnight with the understanding he would be gone in the morning, but upon her return, things go really bad. Maggie and Nick are now on the run, searching for the next safe place until things calm down. Excitement galore, these two are chased, shot at, freezing, starving, you name it, the danger is real. West has our hearts pounding and pulling for this enemies to lovers couple as they figure out what to do next. The twists and turns are truly surprising and it's the best kind of listen!
Plus we get to hear it all come to life with Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood! These two are phenomenal together. Clarke gives Nick that edginess, a little dark, sensual and dangerous. Peachwood gives Maggie a little innocence, and a heart that wants to trust but isn't quite sure. These two made the listen so much fun, I couldn't stop til the very end!

action and emotion packed
Nick and Maggie's first meeting was not smooth. The second time he kidnapped her while trying to figth for their lives. Can their past and their secrets kwep them alive or will the face death before they can acknowledge their real feellings? A fast paced romantic thriller better as audiobook. Jason and Savannah make and incredible work with the story

Excellent narration, entertaining story
In the last month, I've listened to two drastically different stories by S.M. West—a new author for me—and I had to check Goodreads to see if it was the same S. M West. I loved both the stories and the choice in narrators. I feel guilty that I let this one slip so far down my to-listen pile. It got lost in the shuffle when I added too many to my library at the same time, so when I finally opened it up and saw Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood as the narrators it was a fantastic surprise. They're two of my absolute favorite narrators and they did an excellent job with the Audible version of Prophet. I would definitely recommend listening to this story over reading it.
I often avoid stories with the protagonist involved in organized crime because it's tough to resolve how one person can both disregard human life in some cases yet claim to revere it in others. That being said, I'm not opposed to reading about offing bad guys or non-violent crime. S.M. West did a good job keeping Nick's more offensive actions in the past and providing an explanation of how he got to be where he is now. I would recommend this book to romantic suspense listeners and to Jason Clarke/Savannah Peachwood fans.

Amazing narration
The narration performed by Jason Clarke and Savannah Peachwood was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. It added so much more to the story. I loved the story. This enemies to lovers story was written so well. The characters were amazing and multidimensional. I highly enjoyed listening to this book and have added it to my relisten list.

I loved it!
This book had me engrossed from the start. The fantastic narrators brought Prophet and Maggie to life and I loved them. Their love hate relationship is sexy and passionate. Their journey to happily ever after is filled with danger and excitement. And there’s also plenty of thrilling twists and shocking turns that make this a great read/listen that you won’t want to miss!

Exciting!
With a storyline that is gripping and well fleshed out characters, Prophet held my attention and provided a listen that was compelling and engaging. Jason Clarke is a fabulous narrator, one whose richness of voice immediately draws me into the narrative. He modulates his voice well, creating atmosphere that draws pictures in your mind's eye, whole allowing you to be pulled along with the story. Savannah Peachwood has a lovely voice, though at times, she tended to use volume for emphasis in a manner that threw my focus. Prophet has been a pleasure to listen to 💖💖💖💖💖💖
