Publisher's summary

I crawled into Ryan Jensen’s bed that first night by accident. I barely knew him. I thought it was his sister’s bed - her room. It took seconds to realize my error, and I should've left... I didn’t. I didn’t jump out. I didn’t get embarrassed. I relaxed.

And that night, in that moment, it was the only thing I craved. I asked to stay. He let me, and I slept. The truth? I never wanted to leave his bed. If I could've stayed forever, I would have. He became my sanctuary. Because - four hours earlier - my twin sister killed herself.

One of Tijan's Better Books!

This book was typical of Tijan's writing style and based on high school aged kids, but it was not her typical style of spoiled, over indulgent children with daddies black amex cards. The writing was serious, the subject intense, the struggle, therapy and hurdles were real and not made lightly. Truly one of her better bookd by far. I would recommend it for anyone who is looking for a girl meets boy, boy has morals and values, girl has some issues but so does the boy and together without harming the other - they come out from the darkness into the light.

Ryan's Bed

Again I went in blind and wow what I ride, this wasn’t anything like any of the other books I have ready by Tijan.

I don’t know if it was Therese Plummer’s narration or the fact this story just sucks you in. But I couldn’t put it down. I was enthralled.

Unlike the last book, I read where the College aged characters were immature. These High School teenagers were mature. Did they do dumb things? Sometimes yes but you expect that from seniors in high school. Acting out and being D I n K s that is just normal for teenagers.

The subject matter is pretty heavy, and I was so surprised with how well the story was told and explained it felt so very real to me. I had a few moments of emotion, not like that really isn’t new for me I am a big softy but this story will pull at your heartstrings and the ending.. POWERFUL.

Therese Plummer is AMAZING there are no other words to describe her performance in this book but that. Thank you for your incredible talent.

Ryan's bed is a safe haven

Mac's twin sister has killed her self! Her parents left her and her little brother with a family, none of them really know. In the middle of the night, she confused the doors and landed in Ryan's bed where she found peace.

So it began!

Instead of mourning together, the family is falling slowly apart. The little brother gets shipped to a boarding school, the parents bury themselves in work and they don't want to look at Mac because she looks the same as her sister but isn't.

Ryan helps her deal and slowly heal, but first she falls apart.

The narration is great!
Therese Plummer is perfect as Mac. She gets her attitude perfect without sounding monotone!

Speechless!!!!

Due to the Ending, I don’t know what to say. I can tell you that this audiobook had me hooked from start to finish. It had me in a emotional roller coaster. I need a Ryan please. Mackenzie, I loved her character. There was a lot of times that I kept thinking, there is something that is going to twist this story and it did. With that ending. Does it mean there is another book?? It’s a must listen or read. Tijan doesn’t disappoint.

Love this story

This is a touching story of how suicide of a child can devastate and tear the family apart, how they put themselves back together.
Mackenzie had Visions of her twin, Willow, talking and haunting her. Willow was the competitive, popular, social twin, the one everyone loved. Mackenzie blames herself, why she didn't see the signs? She was her twin, they felt everything. So why was Willow hurting?
Ever since the first night she fell asleep in Ryans bed, after her sister's death, he's been her anchor, her friend, protector and lover. They were two souls who knew the loss of someone close and found solace in each other. Tijan goes in depth with Mackenzie's thoughts about Willow, Ryan's grief , and her family devastation.
Therese Plummer told this story with so much emotion. I felt all the anguish, angst, love, confusion, anger of each and every character. Amazing narration. I wish I could give her 10 stars. This was the first story I listened to by Tijan. I look forward to read more by this amazing author. I was gifted this audio book and so happy to share my honest review.

WOW!!!!

First I have to say as I did in my last reviewed book of Tijan, I never know what to expect and I have yet to be disappointed. This book was amazing, raw, and had me slightly teary eyed towards the end (the party), and then I get to the end and I my thoughts were what in the actual (insert expletive). Ryan and McKenzie are now two of my favorite characters. Therese Plummer did an excellent job portraying McKenzie/Willow I think I felt every emotion. Ryan understanding on a different level than most people is the boyfriend you would want to be by your side in a tragedy even though they did not start out as a couple. This book had me completely engrossed in it. AWESOME!

That ending...

I really enjoyed everything about this book; the angst, emotions, characters...everything, except that bomb dropped that the end...what you can not possibly leave it like that.. I need more, well that could be because I loved everything else.
