Publisher's summary

A small town, close proximity romance from New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling author Kristen Proby.

Remi Carter has survived her fifteen minutes of fame and is putting LA in her rearview mirror. As a former reality show contestant, she’s trading staged expeditions and faked wilderness tours for real adventures. Only one fluke storm in Glacier National Park has her stranded with a handsome man, and adventure takes on a whole new meaning.

Seth King is as rugged and sexy as he is annoyed to be trapped with Remi. Probably because she ghosted him at the local bar not three days ago. But she’s got her reasons for ditching him, and 24 hours in an abandoned Montana cabin with the wildlife biologist isn’t nearly enough time to explain.

As tempting as he is by firelight, she’s been burned too many times.

Except one day together and suddenly her travel van doesn’t hold as much appeal. The open road feels lonely. Remi’s about to learn that shelter is more than a safe place to weather a storm.

Shelter might just be the man himself. If he can give her a reason to stay.

Definitely a must for your Proby collection

I can't believe Seth is all grown up! It makes sense when I actually think about it but I've always thought of Seth as a little boy. such a great book!

Narration was phenomenal

Absolutely blow away!! I loved the ebook and the audio took it to a whole new level. Jason Clarke was the PERFECT Seth King!!

I got excited when I heard Kristen Proby was going to write a next gen with Seth King all grown up. Like happy dance giddy…. I was not disappointed. Absolutely amazing. You see the fierce protectiveness that the King men are known for, along with the swoony, melt your heart moments.

“I want to take my time with you, savor every second of this time because I’m only doing this once. With you. There’s no need to rush it.”

The details in this book were exceptional. I felt as if I was in Glacier with Remi and Seth. Seriously, so much detail you felt right there.

Loved seeing all of the King kids in high school, including Lauren and Ty’s daughter was such a trip. Loved it!!

I can keep going on and on. This is absolutely a reread! Small town at its finest!

Another great listen

This story follows along with the typical KP story line. It's a short, cute HEA read.

Beautiful Ending

Shelter… What a beautiful ending to a years-long series. KP has once again brought us back to Cunningham Falls, MT and all of the original Big Sky characters we’ve come to love and adore over the years. We’ve seen Seth grow up from an abused kid under his mother’s watch to a strong, intelligent, and amazingly grown man. His protective spirit and the love he has for both his family and Remi is fierce and strong. I loved seeing his character development across his lifetime. Seth has truly become a “Big Sky Hero”. KP has done it again with this brilliant and beautiful story, and I won’t soon forget the mark this story has left on my heart. ❤️

4 Stars

One of the biggest things that I enjoy about audiobooks is that it can take a good story and turn it into something more through the voice narration. Let me tell you narrators Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoor bring intimacy and emotion to life with Kristen Proby’s Shelter.

Seth and Remi meet in the most natural way and the sparks begin to fly instantly. Remi may have been overwhelmed and instead of indulging, she makes a run for it. Remy‘s need for adventure outshined some advice from a local. With the snow falling so heavily it’s dangerous to continue yet it’s dangerous to go back just as worry starts to overtake Remi, Seth appears and saves the day. As snow falls around them they hunker down, before a cozy fire and more than the sparkes of flames fly between them. I should mention that this is the most beautiful and intimate setting that one could find themselves trapped in. I am almost a little jealous. Lol.

Shelter is heartwarming and emotional.
I absolutely adored Seth and Remi together. They both threw each other off their game in the best ways. They were never anything but themselves to each other, it’s like they naturally belong together. The narrators did an amazing job of bringing out their personalities, passion and emotions. They truly made it as if you could close your eyes and see everything that was happening like you were watching on TV.

Small Town Romance at Its Best

This is the first book I have read of this series. I can honestly say that you don’t need to read the rest of the series to enjoy this book. It’s easy to fall in love with these cast of characters. This story is small town romance at its best.

Both damaged from their past when Seth and Remi meet they are both leery of relationships and all that comes along with it. While getting to know each other they become each other’s strengths. Never letting the other run. The arcs for both of these characters will make you a happy reader.

I couldn’t get enough of these characters or their stories. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of this series.

Jason Clarke and Samantha Brentmoore did a wonderful job at bringing these characters to life. They brought out the vulnerability and strength of each character. Making the listener become invested in these characters.

Love the Big Sky family!

Although this can totally be read as a stand-alone, it is a great addition to a series that I love. Kristen Proby has created a favorite spot for me, Cunningham Falls, Montana and has beautifully written the love stories of most of the population there. This series has royals, movie stars, first responders, millionaires, and every-day Joes all finding their loves and their places in the small but popular town of Cunningham Falls. This story of Seth King and Remi has a little bit of everything and finds a great balance with just the right amount of sweet and steamy, love and lust, family and drama, and plenty of heart. Samantha Brentmoor and Jason Clarke are a perfect pairing with these characters and bring all the passion and vulnerability that this story demanded. Don’t miss this latest addition to the world of Big Sky.
