Publisher's summary

Molly Cooper is through with men.

She means it this time.

Being stood up and humiliated was the last straw.

But after her all grown up and smokin’ hot childhood bestie kissed her to help her save face, she’s left wondering if it was the tequila or his lips that gave her all the feels.

Garrett Monroe had no intention of falling for his childhood best friend.

Unfortunately, one unplanned kiss in a bar was all it took for him to stumble.

Now he’s stuck with a crush that won’t quit on the most stubborn woman he’s ever known.

Soon enough they’re overwhelmed by out-of-control feelings, one matchmaking momma, and two tight-knit families who think they’re dating when they’re not. Or are they?

Nothing stays secret in Green Valley, Tennessee.

Can Molly and Garrett navigate the nosy waters and fall for each other in private?

Or will secrets sink their friendship instead?

Hotshot and Hospitality is a full-length contemporary romance. It can be listened to as a stand-alone and is book 8 in the Green Valley Library series, Green Valley Chronicles, Penny Reid Book Universe.

Romantic

You really can’t go wrong with Chris Brinkley as a narrator. I wonder how much it would cost to hire him to walk around and read everything for me? “Dice one onion; apply topically only; your gas light is on…” That would be spectacular.

The story was really sweet. I had a little trouble with what was going on in the hero’s head. What we heard him think in the beginning of the book did not match what people were saying about him at the end of the book. I felt maybe the author changed her mind about why he liked the heroine halfway through writing.

The heroine was a little frustrating to me because she changed so little. She would have a come-to-Jesus talk with her close confidants, agree with them and become determined to improve herself. But the very last chapter it was like the previous talk never happened. It was a bit aggravating.

However, those very picky points aside, it was a romantic book that I finished quickly and enjoyed.

Small-Town Steamy Sweetness

Hotshot & Hospitality is a hysterical, heartwarming, and low-angst slow-burn romance. Nora Everly writes wonderfully genuine, lovable characters with incredible charm. Nora’s writing draws me in so completely that I feel immersed in the story and small-town feel. Hotshot and Hospitality has a special place in my heart, and the audiobook is outstanding. Chris Brinkley is the voice of Green Valley men; I could listen to him all day, every day! Reagan Boggs was perfectly cast as Molly Cooper. She brings Molly’s soft-spoken, kind-hearted, fiery personality out of the pages perfectly! Chris Brinkley is fantastic in his performance of Garrett Monroe, the charismatic, flirty, romantic AF former Marine. Chris’ ability to make each Green Valley man he narrates uniquely swoon-worthy is phenomenal! The way Chris and Reagan brought this steamy friends-to-lovers story to life surpassed all my expectations!

A good listen

I'm always in when Chris Brinkley is narrating, but this story was also really sweet. What I particularly like about Nora's writing style is that she doesn't make the reader/listener suffer through a mile of impossible challenges before the couple gets to their real shot at happiness. This is a believable story, the characters are likeable fallible humans that I want to cheer for.

Overall good story

The narration was great but the story dragged a little. I liked the characters but Molly's meltdowns got a little old

ok story...

love the smarty pants romance series and was super excited to read Garrett's story. love him and the monroe brothers! yet...i felt this story was almost a too good to he true situation. making Garrett out be a saint. felt too unrealistic. i love a good love story, but molly really bugged me by the end. i get that some people are troubled and depressed...but damn girl. talk about some low self esteem when she had so many around her to build her up.
