Publisher's summary

“From a little spark may burst a flame.” (Dante Alighieri)

A simple ember to dried kindling can ignite a raging fire.

I’ve made my mark and proven my loyalty to a man, a city, and a way of life. That loyalty has provided me with all the spoils of success. For the longest time, that hasn’t included a woman at my side.

There is only one beauty that can bring my untapped desire to life. I shouldn’t have opened the door. Cracking open the stone and striking the flint is my doing. What follows is hers.

With something so intense, will this spark lead to a blazing inferno? Will we make it out of the ashes before everything I hold dear is ravaged?

From New York Times best-selling author Aleatha Romig comes a brand-new dark romance, Spark, set in the same dangerous world as Secrets and Twisted. You do not need to listen to the Web of Sin or Tangled Web trilogy to get caught up in this new and intriguing saga, Web of Desire.

Spark is book one of the Web of Desire trilogy that continues in Flame and concludes in Ashes. Have you been Aleatha’d?

Not her best

After Infidelity, and Consequences Aleatha has not written good strong novels. Her choice of Narrators has been so bad her books are unfortunately very frustrating to listen to. Romy Nordinger was the worst possible narrator for one of the best books i have read, then Alexander Cendese in Web of Sin i could not listen to him at all. now Noah Michael Levine is shocking.
Savvanah Peachwood is ok but there are much better narrators.

i dont know i need to stop reading/listening to Aleatha and find another author.

I am Aleatha’d!

Wow, I have to say Aleatha was holding the winning hand in this story. It has the the right amount of mystery and suspense to hold you captivated from beginning to end. Plus there is a twist at the end of this cliffhanger that will Spark your interest and bring you back for the next intriguing installment can’t wait to see what to see what Patrick does with that reveal.
Noah & Savannah did a fantastic job narrating this story.

Spark

I enjoyed Patrick & Madeline’s story; a second chance romance. The dark underground world the Sparrow world is set in is interesting and full of secrets. I can’t wait for the next two books to see how their story is going.

Could be a good story

The male narrator is horrible, he really takes away from the journey the author is taking us on. I will continue to listen only to find out what happens, but if he is the narrator the other two books I’m going to pass. Savanna Peachwood is great as always.

No chapters,

So annoying that there are no chapter names or numbers. Every chapter is named either Patrick or Marilyn so when I fall asleep listening to the story, It was so hard to find where I left off so I kept having to rehear the same parts and miss parts too I’m sure because things kept seeming like they didn’t make sense. It was so annoying. Story was definitely not a page turner and the Male narrator was terrible!!

Aleatha Romig’s dark, second-chance romance is an interesting look into Patrick and Madeleine’s romantic entanglement. The mystery behind Madeleine’s choices weren’t revealed until the end of the book (cliffhanger alert) which I expected but still didn’t like. However, the situation is just captivating and suspenseful enough to make you want to know more! With that being said, I loved Savannah Peachwood’s narration!🥰😍She was PHENOMENAL and really expressive throughout the storyline! Noah Michael Levine’s narrative left something to be desired because he was dry and expressionless throughout the story! I would have enjoyed it more with a different male narrator.

Romance B-Movie but in book form

The dialogue and writing in general just feels cheap. It is very over the top and could have been so much better. I'm glad a lot of people enjoy it but for me it just felt like a waste of time. There are a lot better written stories with similar elements out there.

A Waste of 6 Hours

I don't normally leave reviews, but I had to for this. Let me preface this with I've listen to a lot of AR novels, and 95% don't hit above a 3 for me. However this was below a three. The characters were boring, the plot was boring, the villain was boring. The author has done better in other books to at least make me turn my head in surprise. But not this one. Skip the book. You're not missing anything.
