Publisher's summary

Available in audio first, a brilliantly funny, scorchingly sexy new romance from number one New York Times best-selling author Lauren Blakely!

Picture this - I’m ready to win back the love of my life, and I’m going big this time. We’re talking boom box, sing her name in the rain, let the whole damn neighborhood know I'm good and ready this time around. After all, if you're going to grand gesture the ever-loving hell out of a second chance, you need to pull out all the stops.

There’s only one little problem.

My college girlfriend isn't the one who shows up when I play my "I'll do anything to win you back" tune.

The woman who flings open the second-floor window tells me my ex doesn’t live here anymore. But she'll help me win her back. Anything for romance, anything for a guy so willing to go big for love. And that's what I want at first. Until I get to know my new “romance coach” and discover she’s funny, clever, and keeps me on my toes. And boy, do I ever need that.

Now I don't want to win anyone else’s heart. I want the woman who's been helping me all along.

Trouble is - she thinks I'm in love with someone else, and when we take off on a road trip, everything I think I know about women is about to be unzipped and turned inside out.

#Lollygag *giggle snort*

I'll never be able to see/hear 'lollygag' again without giggling.

I listened to the audible version of Unzipped narrated by Joe Arden & Andi Arndt. I'm a big fan of Lauren Blakeley's books, but this is the first time I've listened to one. I enjoy listening to books with both male and female narrators. It makes it so much easier to get lost in the characters when you can hear their voice inflections, especially the whispers, growls, and gasps. It's like a guilty pleasure and I might actually blush when I hear the sex scenes, looking around to make sure that nobody else can hear what I'm listening to. And then, when I giggle snort or laugh out loud it's even more embarrassing. But does that mean I'm gonna stop doing it? Hell no!

-In comedy, timing isn't just everything, it's the only thing. It's the same in love.-

Listening to what was going on inside his head as he's attempting to execute a grand gesture to win back the college girlfriend that dumped him years ago is hilarious. Everything that could go wrong, does. It's horrible in the best way. It certainly gets the attention of the wrong girl. At least the woman behind the window that he's focusing his horrible demonstration on has a sense of humor, right? Otherwise, she might have called the cops on him for disturbing the peace.

I couldn't help shaking my head at the cluelessness of the poor nerd. While his lack of a clue was amusing, it was also heartbreaking. He had a lot to learn if he ever planned to catch and keep a good woman. Simply opening his mouth could be the end of his search for love if he didn't get some help. What better person to coach him than the object of his misdirected display?

-I'll help you on your quest. And you, in turn, can continue to be one of the most interesting curiosities I've stumbled across.-

Of course, my romantic heart was matchmaking almost immediately. So, I packed my virtual bags and stowed away on their road trip adventure, shamelessly eavesdropping and taking notes. So, take my advice and grab your audiobook copy of Unzipped to listen their road trip while you take a road trip of your own. Win/win, right?

Had To Have Been Raised By Wolves!

Finley and Tom's epic Flashdance romance was a hilarious, beautiful, emotionally layered storyline with movie quotes that brought back memories and smiles. The metric ton of heat enveloping nerdy engineer and quirky writer added the sizzle to an already magnificent storyline.
Sweet, sexy, fun and surprised me in the best of ways Lauren Blakey waved her magic wand over this one!
While Joe Arden and Andi Ardnt worked their skills on vocals, I loved hearing in their voices that they had as much fun reading it as I did listening!

Perfectly adorable!

Funny girl is about to have her sitcom cancelled. Hot nerd quotes 80’s romance movies and wants to win back his first love. Excellent story with excellent characters.

Better than I thought

I had little expectations of this title because the summary sounded too cheesy. Well, technically, the book was cheesy but it was fun. I t was also a fast read, so I'm not complaining.
I would want to listen to it again on my slump or lazy days.

I loved it!

Lauren Blakely writes such feel good books, that I absolutely love. Unzipped has wonderful humor and more character depth than one would expect. I found the imagery in this book to be spectacular. Both Joe Arden and Andi Arndt were perfect in this book. They had incredible chemistry and made the story that much more believable. I loved how the characters were quirky and included movie quotes. This book is one of my all-time favorites by the author.

My heart is lighter and fuller

My heart is lighter after listening to this book. I found myself laughing out loud at so many points during this listen and loving the relationship and dynamics between the characters. The characters felts so realistic and people who I would friend in real life. And Lauren Blakely definitely had a pull on my heart strings in this read.

I cannot stop talking about this book and within 48 hours of finishing it encouraged at least 5 friends to purchase.

So much fun in the love.

This novel felt original in every element: How the couple meets; what they do for a living; what they do on dates; their banter; their friendship; how they fall in love; what they do intimately; the relationships they have with family and friends; I could go on. I loved the hero and heroine. The writing was so light and fun that I was surprised by the emotion Lauren Blakely managed to infuse into the story - my heart squeezed in pain and joy for the couple, and a tear or two threatened. The romance was paced just right with the reader being able to understand why the couple fell in love – no insta-love or insta-lust here.

Also, the road down 1980s memory lane through songs, movies and TV shows was THE best.

Lauren Blakely has been such a wonderful find. Additionally, narrators Joe Arden and Andi Arndt were perfectly cast – their characterisations were a delight. More Joe Arden as the hero in romances, please.
