Publisher's summary

I believe in rules to live by. It's how I built my reputation as Will Connor-the tough cop, and how I've survived being one. I give a hundred percent to the job, I care for my family, and I never, ever ignore my instincts.

So when Paige turns my head, all my senses go on high alert.

As the developmental director of a non-profit, Paige Lamonica meets a lot of people. That's how she got so good at reading them. But I enjoy surprising her at every turn. She keeps expecting a jerk. Maybe it's my confidence. Maybe it's my looks.

But every layer I pull back for her reveals someone she didn't see coming.

I need a date to my sister's wedding, and it's not just to throw my relatives off. I want her for real, and I'm determined to close this case.

Paige grew up in a military family and knows full well the toll loving a man in uniform takes. Can I persuade her to take a chance on me?

DNF

It’s been some time now but I read the Bennett series by Hagen and really enjoyed it. I decided to give the Conner series a go based on my enjoyment of the other series and the fact that these two families are related. I’m not sure what the difference is for me as it’s been so long since I read about the Bennett’s but this series just isn’t doing it for me. The first book was pretty good. The second ok. And the third…kind of the same, just somewhat blah. There’s nothing really funny or exciting or interesting written. No unexpected plot twists or new developments. I’m just bored and I hate to say it but it’s true. I tried but I’m putting an end to my reading of this series and this book. Narration is good and probably kept me going this long…although, when you have so many family members’ stories, I think it would be great to switch up the narration so you’re not listening to what feels like the same characters over and over…even when the narrators are excellent.

characters

Just a suggestion, you should use different character voices in each book using the same voices gets a little confusing. Just a thought

Loved this book!!!!

I have always enjoyed Layla Hagen’s writing. I’ve read many of her books, but this one is my favorite! These characters were relatable and interesting. The story line is so very rich and wonderful! I recommend this book for everyone!

Sebastian York and Andi Arendt we’re perfect choices for narrators !

Sweet and Sexy.

Layla Hagen is an automatic one-click author for me. I just love her style. The way she writes and the types of stories she tells. They always leave me with a sense of relaxed happiness. They’re so feelgood. And of course, sexy. They're stories with heart. You just can't help reading them in one sitting and wanting more. She's definitely a binge read type of author.

Meant for You is the third book in the Connor family series and it might be my favourite so far. It is an interconnected standalone - so it's up to the reader whether they want to dive right in, or start at the beginning. (Whispers...start at the beginning!) Will Connor is your typical alpha cop...but he also isn't, he knows when to back off and he's so sweet. He’s always been the one to watch out for his family and he wants to do that for Paige too. Only problem, Paige can take care of herself and doesn’t need an alpha all up in her business telling her what to do or think. I really loved Paige, I thought she was such a great character that could hold her own and really gave as good as she got with Will. Their relationship is super sweet - they’re both from big families that they’re close to and that showed and you could see that they were perfect for each other with the way they interacted with the families and never felt put out. The way Will was with his nephew was the sweetest thing. I could've had more of them and not been sad about it. So freaking sweet. The book contained the right amount of sexy time scenes and they fitted the couple and the book perfectly. The chemistry between the characters was fantastic and you could really feel it. I loved the banter between them - it gave their relationship that little something extra and I loved it.

I loved Jace. I want his story ASAP. I mean, the whole Connor family is awesome and I cannot wait to read about them all. But, in this book, Jace was featured a bit and I need to know more. Gimme gimme gimme.

Sebastian York and Andi Arndt were fabulous as usual. Sebastian was perfection as Will Connor- he really has that alpha cop act down pat. Andi, on the other hand, embodied Paige. The strong snarky woman who can hold her own...even against a sexy alpha. Their voices complement each other and it's not too jarring when the PoV changes. It makes for easy listening. It’s becoming harder to say something different and original in their reviews especially when listening to them narrate books back-to-back like I am at present. But, it’s also kinda fun to unintentionally binge listen to them. They should be on everyone’s must-listen list. The production was fine, only one little proofing hiccup that I noticed and it’s something that would’ve been easily missed and hey, maybe it’s just me being weird. Who knows? Maybe I'm the one pronouncing it wrong, not Sebastian. (eek) It didn’t take away from the story or the performance- it just made me do a sort of double-take and check.

This is SUPPOSED to be Will’s story

I was disappointed that even though this is supposed to be WILL’s story it’s all Paige. Also, i didn’t like when she told him she didn’t like it when he was always looking for danger. HE’s a cop, that’s what he does. Shame on her for saying that to him,

That was disappointing

I love the author, I love the narrators but the story was flat. Nothing to keep you going. I'm not giving up on the series though, as I liked the first 2 real well. So, on to the next. Hopefully it will have more to keep me interested.

This was boring and had no storyline

This story had no story. There were so many things the author could have expanded on but didn’t. The first 2 were pretty good this one was boring

EMPTY EMPTY STORY

This was so bad. The first one was pretty good. This 3rd Book was just so empty full of nothing and no story at all.
Will meets Page.
They both Lust for each other in every other word. Way over the top.
Romance starts, sex starts. Still no storyline.
That continues the whole book.
Can they make it together ford the rest of their life after he gets hurts? Really??
Book ends of course they can.
WTH???
