Publisher's summary

They say there is always a calm before the storm. A time when you think you’re safe, protected from the destruction that you know is going to eventually come. Harper was that calm.

And I?

I was the motherf--king storm.

As kids, we were best friends. She was the light to my darkness. I used to protect her from her bullies. But now, I’ll become her most feared one. Seeing her for the first time after three years was like a bucket of ice water being poured on me. It chilled me to the bone, making me irrational, angry. No longer is she a little girl but a grown woman with curves and eyes that pierce my black soul.

No one knows the darkness that lingers under the surface. All they see is my smile, my charismatic charm. I’m the all-American golden boy.

Having her back in my life is awakening something inside of me. She reminds me of everything good. Everything I’ll never have. And I refuse to let her stay.

She has to go, and the only person dark enough, dirty enough to scare her away is me.

Breaking Harper isn’t as easy. I thought I knew everything, turns out others are just as good at hiding their secrets as I am.

Damaged, dark, and falling off the deep end. Will I break her? Will I break us?

Sometimes, the scariest monsters aren’t those that hide in the dark. Sometimes, they’re the ones hidden right in plain sight...like me.

Please note: This is a stand-alone dark bully romance. This audiobook contains scenes that may be triggering to some listeners. This is not a YA romance novel and should be listened to only by those who are 18 or older.

Miscommunication at its finest!

Miscommunication at its finest! I wanted to strangle that character for the most part, but it all comes out in the end. Breaking You is a truly dark bully read. Cant wait for book three! Hope it's just as good as book one and two.

Breaking You

An enemies to lovers and second chance all in one! I enjoyed this book and how everything unfolded in the end. Definitely a fun listen if these are your type tropes.

Entertaining!

I thought the female narrator read a bit slow. In some parts her tone was good, but other parts lacked emotion. The male narrator was better in my opinion at bring life to the narration. I slightly increased the speed and it helped.

The story was a bully romance and a second chance romance. Once again I was surprised by the twists. This series is definitely entertaining. Looking forward to the next audiobook.

Completely predictable and anticlimactic…

How to express my opinion of Breaking You…. Hmm… Got it!

Imagine the “dark bully romance” trope is a person.

In this case, the trope is naked w/ no makeup, accessories, or tattoos. Nothing to guess, nothing to anticipate, nothing but the basics.

very much romantic. and innocent

Warren and Harper have a past together that was very much romantic. and innocent. All of that changes one night. Now Warren wants nothing to do with her. He is cruel, mean but also very possessive towards her. Love the darkness of the story with the light moments in between. Happy ending for the couple.

Yes!

I loved this story reading but listening to it was a whole new experience. The narrators did such a great job of bringing Harper and Warren to life and I could feel myself there and could picture everything. I could feel their pain and hurt and Warren's vengeful ways, even without there being a reason for it to begin with. Loved this!

Loved this book!

It's really dark, maybe even a little darker than book one, but worth it at the end! Great story line and good twist. Can't wait for book three! Cameron and Easton sound so bad (in a good way) I wasn't a huge fan of the female voice, but the male is definilty perfect!

William and Harper!

Now that Harper has re-appeared in his life William is determined to ensure that she will feel the same pain he felt when she betrayed him. He will use every weapon and every person at his disposal to make her life as difficult as possible so that she will leave his life as quickly as she re-entered it.

Harper is stronger and more resilient than even she realizes but once all the truths and secrets are revealed will she be able to forgive William for what he has put her through?

Filled with emotion, heat and so much drama this story takes you on a bumpy ride. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and thought that both narrators did a great job of bringing the emotional part of the story to the forefront.

Harper has some redeeming qualities

Harper is a strong character since she has to deal with Warren. Some people may seen her as weak but the reality is she has a strong backbone. Even through everything he put her through she loves him. He loves her too, in his own way. Even though he is cruel, he has some redeeming qualities. so you don't totally hate him.
