Great series!!!!!

I could not put these books down! They were filled with action, suspense, mystery, and love. I really enjoyed the fact that there was not a bunch of same old sex scenes that are typically used over and over in other books I have read. I was sad when the last one ended and I knew it was the end of the series. The narrators are the best I have ever heard and the author of the series deserves great recognition for his work. Thank you for the great read!!!!

This is my 4th time listening to the series♡

I have loved Quinn since I discovered The Grey Wolves. I have never found a work of hers that was not well written. Her character development is so amazing. You fall in love, root for them, hate them, miss them and sometimes you picture yourself as them. There is something to be said for a writer of fantasy fiction when you can picture so vividly; things that are not possible in real life. But, they feel real. And you can see the landscapes and see the faces of the characters. You can't stop listening! And in my case I always read the books before I listen to the audio. I wait on pins and needles to hear the stories from another's voice. And I find things sometimes different in another's telling. Maybe my interpretation of a part of the story was wrong? Well, the audible version will sort that out. So, why wait? If this is your first Quinn Loftis series..Go get more!!!! Start with the Grey Wolves, fall in love with the Gypsy Healers and by the GODS Make sure you get into the Elven stories..

great end

This is a wonderful end to the trilogy I enjoyed listening to the thoughts of both Brant and Dana along with the other characters from the other stories.

Great story line but boring in the middle....

First off, I'll say that I did enjoy (for the most part) this entire series. But I believe book 2 &3 could have been combined to make this a duology as a oppose to a trilogy. It was my first Viking historical fiction to read... though the term fiction goes a long way with this book instead of historical aspects, I was ok with that going into it because I enjoy the fantasy genre, so the magic elements involved in this book (and series) was fun for me.
It did have a great conclusion and wrapped up the entire story well, included an epilogue, which I always appreciate. If I'm going to invest 30+ hours on a series, I need the ending to wrap it al up and give up a peak how things went on, post conclusion.
The characters remained strong, although I felt that the main character Alette lost some of her strength as the series went on - granted she dealt with a lot of trauma in book 1 & 2 so I don't blame her for that. I think what made up for that was Dayna remained a strong willed female lead which helped carry book 3; No doubt.
If you've made it through book 2, then I would recommend completing the series. It wasn't my favorite, but it was entertaining enough.
As far as performance, Chris and Andrea did great! I'm BIG on narration no matter how great a book is, if the I can't handle the narrators then I will still pass on it. These two however, I felt did a great job,
