Publisher's summary

First, there was pain, and now, there is just...nothing. No one can ever understand the losses I've suffered. A solitary existence that consists of my work and the empty house that serves as a constant reminder of all I have lost.

After months of paralyzing emptiness, I turn to the Wicked Horse so I can feel something. Anything, really. Any shred of emotion that will explain why I'm still here. Any justification for why my life was spared and theirs were not.

It's all in vain. Not even the debauchery of the notorious sex club can fill the hollowness that consumes me.

Until she walks in.

Absolutely perfect. Gorgeous and bends to my will. Gives me her body willingly, while expecting nothing more from me than the pleasure I offer her. And the more she gives, the more I find myself wanting to take.

Wanting to crawl out of my personal hell for this wicked angel.

Open Your Heart to Love

Every time I head back to the Wicked Horse, I know that it's going to be a deliciously sexy experience. Benjamin and Elena's story was no different, though it did have more serious undertones than some of the previous books in this series. Even though it's book 6, Wicked Angel can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone.

When we first meet Benjamin and Elena, they are both resistant to open their hearts to love thanks to past hurt and experiences. Benjamin especially struggles to cope with the loss he has endured. What starts out as a sex only relationship quickly develops into more, as they both help each other heal and move forward. They complemented each other well and their chemistry was amazing! There isn't a ton of drama, but I did find Benjamin's actions frustrating at times. Elena was almost too understanding and forgiving to the hot and cold behavior, but I did like that she didn't shy away from confronting the hard topics.

Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh are scorching hot in every Wicked Horse Vegas book I've listened to and their voices work well together. Kirsten Leigh especially did an amazing job bringing Elena to life and I enjoyed her male and female voices equally. Lance Greenfield's narration was great, but his deep voice does make his female voices less believable. I also found some of his delivery a little jumpy/overly emphatic at times.

A bonus of this book, was being able to check in with Jorie and Walsh (from Wicked Wish) and seeing how their relationship has progressed. It's always fun to revisit old characters. There was a little more talk about God and church in Wicked Angel than I needed, but this may not bother other readers/listeners. Overall, this was a sexy and emotional story that fans of the series are sure to enjoy!

Great mix of emotion and heat

Wicked Angel is Book 6 in the Wicked Horse Vegas Series by Sawyer Bennett and it another great addition to the series

I'm a suck for a story with a doctor as one of the main characters and Benjamin Hewitt, a renowned neurosurgeon, fits the bill! Having suffered a tragic loss a year before and finding himself a shell of his former self he joins the Wicked Horse in the hopes of feeling alive once again. There he encounters Elena Costieri and boy do the sparks fly!!!

As usual, this audiobook has everything I love about Sawyer Bennett's books - great characters, on point banter, off-the-chart sexy times, a bit of angst and a well-paced plot. I liked Elena as a character - she was strong and was no shrinking violet and Benjamin was definitely an Alpha male, but he was unexpectedly emotional, which was a positive for me.

Kirsten Leigh is an excellent narrator and always delivers a strong and confident narration with the right amount of emotion. Lance Greenfield is great narrator and has a nice deep voice, but I did feel at times he was overdoing the "husky" male tone. But overall an excellent narration from both

So another great listen from Sawyer Bennett and I can't wait to listen to what she has instore for us next

Liked but unfortunately not loved

THE STORY:
First of all, I really liked Elena. She was so strong and understanding in every way that counted. Even though she was hurt by the men in her past she didn't let the experiences deter her from going after what she wanted when she knew that feelings were involved. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, thought she'd be one of these typical women who'd be like 'oh whatever I KNOW this is just a fling, I won't catch any FEELINGS and get hurt' and in the end cry about how stupid they were for falling in love but Elena proved me wrong by being so incredibly poised? about it. I absolutely loved that! There are specific scenes I would love to talk about but oh well, you just have to read the book and find out yourself ;)
Okay so even though I loved that side of Elena, I just wanted to know more about her as a person. Everyday life, quirks and habits just so I can relate to her a little more than how she handles her relationship with Benjamin. The same goes for our hero. I guess this is also the reason why I wasn't overwhelmed by their chemistry. I know they're sexually compatible, I know they had talks about themselves but I don't want to be told about it I want to be part of it and just see how well their chemistry is without the sex.

THE NARRATION:
I had some difficulties with Lance Greenfield's narration. The way he narrated didn't feel very natural. Often times he would overenunciate certain words or phrases which made me question whether I should pay attention to this or not.
Kirsten Leigh did a fantastic job with Elena. I really enjoyed listening to her.

A compelling story....

This is Book 6 in the "Wicked Horse Vegas" series and the first one I listen to and I really enjoyed it. The narrators were very good and their diction was perfect so it was very easy to understand what they were saying, which allowed me to do other chores while listening to the story. Benjamin and Elena are very interesting characters and the story is hot, hot hot. But it also allows us to feel the character's pains and insecurities. Very entertaining story!!! really enjoyed it!!!

Loved this sexy, emotional romance!

I loved this sexy, emotional romance. Benjamin and Elena are getting out of their comfort zone by trying the Wicked Horse’s Fantasy app. Benjamin is intrigued by Elena's fear but interest in submitting to him and invites her to meet him there. Elena is tired of men using her and isn't interested in a relationship. Benjamin has suffered great loss and isn't looking to be put in that situation again. They connect so intrinsically and soon find themselves breaking all their carefully constructed rules. Together, they begin to heal all their brokenness and it scares them both. I loved the evolution of their relationship and how they helped each other to open their hearts again. They had great chemistry and their passion was off the charts. Lance Greenfield, and Kirsten Leigh did an amazing job portraying both Benjamin and Elena in all their strengths and vulnerabilities. Greenfield especially had me in tears and my heart racing during several emotional scenes with Benjamin. This is my first listen to Kirsten Leigh's work and I really enjoyed her performance. Together they brought this emotional, heartfelt, hot and sexy romance to life keeping me totally engaged from start to finish.

Wickedly good!

l really enjoyed listening to Wicked Angel. Benjamin is a broken man after an auto accident claims his family, until he meets Elena. It was just supposed to be just sex but along the way, it became more. Elena and Benjamin are wickedly naughty. The story is emotional, excellent reading and fast paced.

....left my heart bleeding and my soul breathless.

Anyone who reads a Sawyer Bennett novel doesn't do so for the beautiful words or the flighty happily ever after. Wicked Angel takes a detour into darkness that is as pure as it is tragic. Elena and Benjamin want to feel complete after heartbreak has ripped their lives to shreds. Pain is the answer to a prayer, even as love sneaks into the equation. Though not always likeable, Benjamin is an understandably, empathetic character. His despair left my heart bleeding and my soul breathless. Elena was more of a paradox. Not easy to figure out, but intriguing to get to know. Narrated by Greenfield and Leigh, Ben and Elena are a taste of real life. Bennett turns heartache in a sensuously, unpredictable wake-up call.

I very much enjoyed this book. It is well written and it sure kept me listening . It is spicy HOT !!!

I did enjoy the narrators. They did such a fantastic job. It wasn't narrated too fast or slow. I found it was perfect speed and very clear.

Really life

This book’s plot and story line make it feel like you are right there with the characters during their journey towards each other. The ups and downs keep you on your toes and keeps you listening. This was the first book of the series I have listens to or read but I am now going to start at the beginning. Lance greenfield and Kirsten Leigh also did a great job narrating this book and bring it to life. You can not go wrong with any of Sawyer Bennett’s books.
