Publisher's summary

Her life is like a prison cell. A self-made, to-hell-with-the-free-world existence that locks from the inside. Stop judging. Her agoraphobia doesn’t define her. It simply keeps her safe.

He belongs in a prison cell. The 6x8, make-me-your-b*tch variety that locks from the outside. But he’s free. To hunt. To take. To break. And he just found a new toy.

Capturing her is the easy part. Her f--ked-up mind, however, makes him question everything he does next.

But he’s a determined bastard. If all goes his way, this will hurt like hell.

Note: HEA with no cliffhanger.

It's a extremely tough sensitive subject to addres

All I can say is so far I have had a extremely hard time with this characters action then the previous and I am almost towards the end but its a fantastic extremely fantastic audiobook but goes against alot of my personal believes. I absolutely hate also when a author continuously use the Lords name in vain , I just despise .It any cursing fine but please stay away from my Lord and my beliefs it's the worst form of disrespect to me as a listener or reader . But I am really turned off so far by constant physcial abuse and domestic violence like punches in the stomach and face no matter the reason not to mention rape but the abuse is what I'm struggling with at he moment so I give you my final update after I am completely fin ushed.

Love!!!

Pam Godwin's stories always pulls every emotion from me. The Deliver series is no exception. I have lost a lot of sleep devouring every word and have no regrets! She chose the perfect narrators for each of the books/characters. This is a 5+ star for me. I can't wait for more to be released on audio!

Words don't express my love for this book!

I was skeptical in the beginning of this book that Van would be the person Amber needed, that he wouldn't break her apart before he attempted to build her up again. I suppose in a way he did, but his actions throughout the books endeared me more and more to him. I had a soft spot for him from the beginning, but I had no idea how much I'd fall in love with this character and his transformation. He and Amber were so perfect, their flaws different yet so similar in their intensity and evolving destruction, and it was so brilliant the way they healed one another. I was once again impressed by Pam Godwin and her writing skills as well as the performances of the narrators. I wish I could express how amazing this book is with words, but I can't. You have yo listen to it to get the full force of the story and how these characters and their battles affect your emotions as you listen. As someone with panic attacks, I can relate to Amber in a way and I was rooting for her from the very beginning yet her strength based not in Van but in herself (when he gave her the chance to pull it to the surface) was so wonderful. I'll likely finish this whole series since I'm utterly addicted to Pam's writing. I would have paid two credits, knowing the amazing story I was going to hear. I look forward to Camila's story next!

idk how to feel about this

why is Pam normalizing rape? I had a really hard time looking past that. But after seeing their relationship evolve I felt for amber. I have mixed feelings about this. After hearing I feel pretty heavy and annoyed. This was a lot to take in and it was hard to find it enjoyable. I give it a 2/5 bc I really liked amber and I wanted a happy ending for her. Van? Idk he was essentially a rapist so it was hard to look past that as I said. I didn’t enjoy delivered (liv and josh story). I thought after all of the great reviews on this
Book that it would be different🤷‍♀️ dumb me. I think I’m going to stop here in this series.

Conflicted…

I can’t get past the fact that he raped her. Yes, he went through a transformation after, but the rape is still there, can’t get past it.

I just wish any of these authors wrote a dark romance with a female character that is not so weak and easy to manipulate.

For God’s sake, let the woman have a back bone and not fall to her knees so soon. Give that to us!

Yes, I know is fantasy and I know that’s why is called a dark romance, but geez…let her give him a hard time for once.

I’m going to stop here in the series, I’m just not interested in the rest.

Satisfied!!

I loved this audible. Jo Raylan and Ryan West did a great job as Amber and Van. I loved Van...as bad as he was in Deliver, he had slowly changed into a better person. Amber had major issues and it was rough between the couple at first but it worked out, slowly. I liked how it was not instant love for them but it grew into something very special. And the forgiveness was the absolute best. I can't wait to hear Amelia's story!!!

Redemption Confirmed

The redemption story I didn’t know I needed! Truly was shocked when I listened to the prologue and believe that throughout the book the MMC proved himself. Both narrators did great with their performance bringing the characters to life. Male narrator’s pronunciation of Spanish words/names was flawless. The female narrator was able to translate the fear of her character through her voice perfectly.

Gripping!!

I really didn't want to know Van's story because of how terrible he was in the first book. I had him pegged as truly evil... BUT I devoured this book. I just couldn't stop. Amber was made for Van and Van was made for Amber. Each of their dark and ugly bits complimented the other's perfectly.
It's a testament to Pam Godwin and her writing that a villian as dark and vile and Van Quiso can come out looking like a decent, good man.

3rd Person POV - Story just OK

Let me start with I am a huge fan of Pam Godwin. I have had these books in my TBR for a while now and saw that the first two books in the series were dropping off of the Included Catalog. I have already purchased all of the other books. I am now a bit disappointed that I did that. I am not a fan of 3rd person POV especially in Audio form, but don't like it in written form. I will say that she has done it well, but I still don't prefer it. I never thought I would 2 star a Pam Godwin book, but this book to me was just boring. I do like how Van redeemed himself, kind of. I just had a really hard time getting into the story. I am really hoping that the next books peak my interest a bit more. I was looking forward to the last story in this set since it is about Cole from the Tangled Lies series which I absolutely loved. Here's to hoping I make it that far.
