Publisher's summary

I was born a monster. Cruelty ran in my veins like poison. It ran in the veins of every Vitiello man, passed on from father to son, an endless spiral of monstrosity. A born monster shaped into an even worse monster by my father’s blade and fists and harsh words. I was raised to become Capo, to rule without mercy, to dish out brutality without a second thought. Raised to break others.

When Aria was given to me in marriage, everyone waited with baited breath to see how fast I’d break her like my father broke his women. How I’d crush her innocence and kindness with the force of my cruelty.

Breaking her would have taken little effort. It came naturally to me.

I was gladly the monster everyone feared. Until her.

Author's note: Bound by Honor in Luca's POV.

All of what I would want in a male POV mafia!

Thumbs up for this guilty pleasure of an audio! I am a huge fan of mafia romance and it's refreshing to have a full male POV story. The female side always tends to have the same insecurities, plot and leaves the Male's perspective very much hanging. With this story I feel I got the full effect of what could have been the female lead's struggle and POV while keeping in the head of the Male character. Sebastia York is all of the things that I love about him in this story. Gruff, alpha, sexy and naughty! He performs these stories so well that one can't help but grin and enjoy his voice as only he can deliver certain lines and tones. This is a delicious SebYo buffet and very much worth a credit. Loved it!! Now on to Mateo's story.

Alpha male, check! Awesome narration

Classic Italian mafia vs Russian bratva storyline with struggle for Capo thrown in with a love story.
Narration by Sebastian York was perfection!

Fastest 10 hours ever

This book flew by... that's how much I must have gotten lost in the story. It was over before I knew it. Wow. I haven't read the POV of Aria,... now I'm curious. But I am confident, if you only listen to one POV.... always go with Sebastian York. Always.

His view on the son of a mafia boss in an arranged married with a very sheltered woman was a great listen. Often these characters aren't given a POV and you are left wondering to their motivations and actions. Are there any redeeming qualities or not? I liked hearing his thoughts.

I ATE UP EVERY DELICIOUS 5 ⭐️ BOOK AVAILABLE ❤️

For over a week I’ve been totally immersed in, and absolutely obsessed with, this warring Mafia world of dangerous alphas and their layered lives. With their family dynamics, with the various threats, with their protective natures, loyalties and customs, with their arranged marriages and with the brutal challenges when the Chicago Outfit, the New York Famiglia and the Las Vegas Cammora simmer, spill blood, torture and go to war. They are all layered dark love stories with emotional push n pulls, friction, fireworks, sexcapades and character growth as Capos and Made Men bend for the women they’ve each struggled and fought their attraction to. Their Blood Oath forever binds them to the Mafia brotherhood above all else.. but the right woman will get inside their walls, make them human, make them fall in love and they will become more cherished than even their Oaths.

And in this story Luca, who is next in line to be Capo of the NY Famiglia, has agreed to an arranged marriage with a shy sheltered eighteen year old virgin who will test his patience, bring him to the edge of madness in further books and settle him like no one else can. However, it isn’t going to be easy, their journey will have cavernous potholes to bridge and there will be a minefield of emotional bombs to step around. But what develops is a wonderful devotion, a touching heartfelt tenderness, a possessive obsessive romance with chemistry and sex.. and a beautiful love is forged. In this well-paced book, Cora Reilly’s fantastic world-building is told from Luca‘s POV.. this is Book 0 - book 1 is the same events told from Aria’s POV - but I suggest you skip it because the narrator was the wrong choice.

Worth a credit? Each and every book AFTER book 1 is action-packed, riveting, well-written, suspense-filled, climactic and yes, IMO, very creditworthy. Some I loved more than others, some overlap their storylines, some move the years on and some hit hard. However, they all pack a punch, they all delivered more than I was looking for in a good Mafia love story, every POV has a great narrator (except book 1) who brings the characters, the never-ending friction and the feels to life.. and every - single - one entertained and frayed my senses in some way.

It was okay

Why is everyone so in love with Sebastian York? He is very average but I am really upset that he can't read. Aria's sisters name is Gianna as I didn't know this until I saw some of the written book. Gianna is pronounced like Tiana or Briana he pronounced it Johnna. A simple name. Really! Anyway the book was just okay.

Great Narration by Sebastian York.

This was a great book made even better (if THAT is even possible) by the awesome narration of Sebastian York. He sounds just like I’d picture Luca to sound like. This was terrific. 10 hrs 29 mins of heaven.

I was looking for more sexy time.

Ladies there is barely any sexy time in this book. The heroine doesn’t give it up until you’re about 75% through. This is not smut, it was more focused on the actual story. If you like that sort of stuff the. By all means download but I’m a little salty I wasted my credit on this. It was a bit boring and repetitive but it wasn’t horrible.

Aria and Luca

OMG - so good. Initially, I felt sorry for Luca and his brother Mateo for having a horrible father who treated them and his wife terribly including beating all of them. Then Luca turned into a pretty cruel adult who carried out some really gruesome murders. He was forced into an arranged marriage to the virgin daughter, Aria, from another crime family. Shortly after his marriage, he continues to meet up with his mistress Grace, who was pretty bad herself because she wanted Luca to marry her. She tried to break up his marriage by arranging for his new wife to catch him in the middle of having s&x with her (dumb on his part). She tried to hurt Aria again by having her drugged and arranged for a man to rape Aria. Good thing Luca had security on her. We know the cruel punishment the man received but I wanted him to take care of Grace too for causing it. She was upset with him because after his wife caught him, he remained faithful to her and never called Grace again. Sebastian York was outstanding as Luca.
