Publisher's summary

The final, haunting novel, in the extraordinary story that has enthralled millions!

The horror began with Flowers in the Attic, the terrifying tale of four innocent children locked away from the world by a cruel mother.

The shocking fury continued with Petals on the Wind and If There be Thorns. Now V.C. Andrews has created the last dark chapter in the strange, chilling tale of passion and peril.

BROKE MY HEART OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I love VC Andrews, and yes, I would recommend her writing...

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

This whole series does...and I have read it, time and time again...

Have you listened to any of Joy Osmanski’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I would...

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

They did...and it was ok...but to really feel this book..you have to experience it ALL...and the only way you can is to read it, every word...or listen...to me it is the same..

Any additional comments?

Oh I cried, I cried and my heart ached...Cathy and Chris tried..they really tried to be the best people they could...they were basically programmed from a very young age into the life they were to have...Yes the love they shared was forbidden by societies standards, but it was pure...it was true, and they shared a beautiful life together. They raised a decent family, even though t wasn't perfect, they did what made them happy and had what other people dream of in each other. I thought this was an excellent book, and even though it broke my heart..I know I will visit my Dresden dolls again...maybe I wont wait 25yrs this time...

Wish more V.C Andrews books were Audio!

I have read this book 5 times in my life this was the first time listening to it. To actually hear the narrator's voice as Cathy really helped me get into it more than I had before. Thank you for putting V.C Andrews books into Audio just wish a few more of them were.

Waste of time on all counts

The writing is beyond bad (characters contradict themselves within the same paragraph, plot holes the size of Texas, and utterly preposterous dialog--and this is coming from a fan if the 1st 3 b

horrible narration ruins a good story

the narrator sounds like a robot calmly reading a book aloud in monotone. there is more feeling with Cathy's voice, but all the male voices are tinny and robotic except for Joel's, which is scratchy and annoying. loved the book when I read it years ago, but I am trading this horrible audible version in. Don't spoil the story by listening to this one, buy the book.

All the memories of the first read

Love the series. Read the books in the mid 1980s. Same emotional story as the original read. Love the story

Really Disappointing

Just really bad. I was tempted to stop listening more than once but continued to the end. I wanted to smack just about all the characters. It was so stupid.

Excellent yet tragic series

Captivating series of the Dollanganger family. Sad to see the first part of the series come to an end, but onto the next!

it was just Ok

Kind of a struggle to get through. I'm not sure where the story fell flat but it's just lackluster.
