Publisher's summary

Colton Wild isn’t just the famous football player everyone sees on their television screen. I met Colton one summer vacation when we lined up on opposite sides of a flag football field. He was the cocky kid with clear blue eyes and a constant smirk. When he picked me up over his shoulder and ran with me the length of the field, I wanted to hate him.

But somehow we were the last two left around the campfire that night. We talked for hours under the stars. And when he kissed me, I didn’t want him to stop. The next morning, I left.

I thought I’d never see him again.

And for ten years, I didn’t.

Sky Rosewood was the one that got away, the fiery redhead with a temper to match.

It felt like way more than a teenage crush, but what did I know back then? Plus she gave me a fake phone number, not to mention a false last name. I tried everything to find her, but it was like she’d disappeared into the ether.

Ten years later, I’m out for my morning beach run and I crash into…Sky Rosewood, just before she gets knocked out by an errant wave. I try to be a gentleman and give her mouth to mouth, but she comes to and tells me off, her temper still intact. And so is my crush.

Except now Sky’s a woman. A beautiful woman who agrees to give me the right number this time.

I’ve got my second chance with the woman I never forgot, and there’s no way I’m letting her get away again. Turns out I shouldn’t have been so cocky...

Great story line

This book was great. Long lost lovers story who reunite and find their happily every after. However, I could barely finish it because of the female narrator. Her voice just gave me. constant headache. It was whining, Nasaly yet whisperery and so low. I just looked forward to the male narrator to come on. unfortunately for me, she had more parts than he did. Hopefully the next book in the series would use a different female if not I don't think I'll be patronizing and more books in the series. Very good story and I look forward to Dylan's story

I want a Wild man!

I quickly fell in love with this story and ALL of the characters! I instantly decided that I need a Wild man in my life!!! The story and characters are well written. It has the perfect amount of fun/happy times with just the right amount of drama mixed it. I cannot wait to read about the other Wild men!

The narration was great! Both Lacy and Jeremy did a great job bringing voice to the characters!

Loved it!!

I loved this book! The writing was great- I loved the story line of re encountering a childhood sweetheart. It was sweet, it was sexy and yet still had it's share of drama. The characters were great- i can already tell i will fall for each and every Wild Man :)

The narration was great. Lacy really shined in this. Jeremy York was fabulous as well. I felt they went together really well in this.

I can't wait to read about more of the the Wild Men.

Average

The female narrator wasn't horrendous but she wasn't good either.. As for the story it was slow and a lot of fluff that could have been taken out.

This was the perfect second chance romance.

I love second chance romances, and this one was just as sweet as it was sexy. Skylar's chance meeting with Colton on the beach after not seeing each other since they were just teenagers is a fluke neither of them could have counted on. She has been running from a past that could mean so many horrifying things while he has been searching for her since that night in Colorado when they were just teenagers, neither of them experienced and neither of them prepared.

While she fights her attraction to him because of the past that has taught her to be wary of men and what might really be happening under the surface, he fights to get through all of the pain she has endured to show her that he has never forgotten her, that the feelings he has held for her all of these years have not only stayed with him but multiplied at seeing her again. Will he be able to get through to her before fear makes her decide to leave the life she's made for herself and ghost him again?

I loved reading this story more than listening to it. There is an abundance of background romance and heartfelt moments that the heat the author brings to her stories is just an extra bonus. There's a psychological issue that holds the characters apart, always a fear of something that could very well make them take another turn. And her background characters mean so much to the story and beg to be written.

That being said, there were some nuances missed in the narrators' interpretations. The male narration wasn't too bad, but the female read it with incorrect breaths, breaks and emphasis. She mispronounced words that a narrator shouldn't have trouble with. I actually went back to my Kindle copy of the book to make sure the words were spelled correctly, and they were. I don't know if she simply wasn't prepared for the reading or if she just wasn't meant to read this story. I just found it disappointing.

Brings a hint of sentiment to a risque romance.

Colton brings a hint of sentiment to a risque romance. Sky is the girl that got away. Colton is the boy she can't seem to forget. What began as a teenage infatuation takes ten years to blossom into more. With the written talents of a hopeless romantic like Melissa Belle and the suave vocal stylings of Laurel and York, it's easy to understand why this duo lays claim to the heart.

Great second chance romance.

Colton runs into Skylar ten years after she got away. He is now trying to win his way back into her heart. Skylar has issues because of her abusive father. Can he win back the one who got away. Story is full of angst and fighters. Great Narration.

Great book to listen to.

An emotional read surrounding finding love and letting go of the baggage from our past. Colton and Sky met years ago at camp and reunite years later. Both had issues that kept them apart but it is the journey they take together built with understanding and making new memories that takes their relationship to the next level. With adorable characters and a storyline that had me hooked from the beginning this was a great story. The narrators were spot on and truly enjoyable.

Cute second chance romance

This was a nice second chance romance between two people who first met 10 years ago. It was a really quick and light listen, even though some of the story cause me to roll my eyes (a little too much of instant love in the story). The narrators did a great job, it was my first time listening to Lacy Laurel but she was good. Jeremy York was great as always!
