Publisher's summary

It's so easy being best friends with a gorgeous, talented, charming guy.

Said no woman ever. Except me.

My friendship with Miller is a sure thing - he’s my plus one, my emergency contact, and my shoulder to lean on. He’s also been by my side helping me raise one helluva awesome kid who’s the center of my world.

Nothing will change our easy breezy friendship. Until I have the bright idea to convince him to start a new band with me.

Trouble is, our sizzling chemistry in the recording studio is getting harder to ignore, no matter how risky it might be.

***

Sing sexy songs with the woman you’ve been lusting after? Get up close and personal as you croon to the woman you’ve wanted for years?

Piece of cake.

NOT.

Performing with the sweet, sassy and insanely wonderful Ally is like one gigantic obstacle course of challenges for my libido. And my libido is one sexy love song away from kissing her senseless and taking her home.

But, I’m not a serious kind of guy, and she’s not a one-night-stand kind of woman. If we cross the horizontal line, we might risk our sure thing and end up out of tune forever....

✫✫ 4.5 Stars ✫✫

Lauren Blakely once again gives us a fun loving, sexy, low drama book that will leave you feeling lighthearted and happy. I love that I can always listen to a LB book as a sort of "pallet cleanser" from all the serious, high drama & heartbreaking books I read. No matter what mood I'm in, a Lauren Blakely book always fits perfectly.

This book is a great friends to lovers stand alone book that is part of the Heartbreakers series. This is something I love about this type of writing, even though they are all connected, you can listen to only one of them and it won't feel like you missed anything and listening to them all just adds a little extra to your experience. Miller & Ally have a great friendship. I loved their chemistry, the banter and the honesty between them. I also love how there really is no drama, not even a misunderstanding. That for me is huge! I really enjoy books with mature characters and this series is exactly that. I also have to add that Ally is a "Single Parent" and that always works for me. Seeing how the other character related with the kid and how well they handle not coming first but second behind a child always melts my heart. They melted my heart with their selflessness about so many things. I am so looking forward to book 3 and really hope Miller & Ally have a larger roll in it too.

The narration was perfect! That's not really a surprise since it's Andi & Sebastian but what was a surprise was the Erin Mallon cameo during a text conversation. I loved that! I actually went back and listened to it 4 times because I just knew that was Erin Mallon's voice and not Andi Arndt. Very cool little bit of excitement add as a special bonus for us serious audiobook addicts ;)

Let's Make Beautiful Music Together

Friends to lovers is one of my very favorite tropes and Once Upon a Sure Thing did not disappoint! Sebastian York and Andi Arndt once again are amazing and I loved their performances as Miller and Ally. It was fun to have them voice such playful characters. They balance the sweet so well with the sexy! The cameo by Erin Mallon was such a treat too! I was completely surprised to hear her voice during the text exchanges between Macy and Ally. Such a wonderful gift for listeners!

Ally and Miller were such a sweet and sexy couple. I loved their banter and all the little things they did for each other. Their chemistry was always simmering right under the surface and it made the eventual boil over so delicious. The easy nature of their relationship and the deep love they shared for each other made them such a wonderful pair. Miller's dirty mouth didn't hurt too ;) Yes, there is some push and pull as these two wrestle with their feelings and fears of ruining their friendship, but I really liked that the drama wasn't overblown and resolved in a way that felt true to their original relationship. Above all else, Miller and Ally are friends through it all.

Once Upon a Sure Thing was a sweet and light friends to lovers romcom and I'm excited to see what Lauren Blakely has in store for us next with the youngest Heartbreaker, Miles!

Fantastic!!

Once Upon A Sure Thing is another spectacular book from Lauren Blakely. We first meet Miller and Ally in Once Upon A Real Good Time. Miller and Ally are best friends. They are connected by their love of video games, bananagrams, and music. This book is fun, flirty, and sexy. Miller and Ally find themselves wanting to explore more than just their amazing friendship. You must read this friend to lovers romance to find out what happens if they cross that line. 5 fantastic stars!!

Sebastian and Andi’s narration really bring this book to life!

THIS IS A FIVE STAR SURE THING

With audiobook giants of Lauren Blakely, Sebastian York and Andi Arndt you already know it’s going to be good.. and that’s a sure thing.. and the mix of other sure things delivered by these three greats are that you’re guaranteed to swoon, melt, laugh and happy sigh because love has conquered all.

So go ahead and listen as these two friends start to blur boundaries, blend lives and boldly go where, in their six year friendship, they’ve never dared go before.. and that is into each other’s arms.. but will there be an end date, is it only a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship.. or could it be true love and happy endings all the way??? The quick-witted dialogue, the chemistry, the friendship, the secondary characters, the tentative steps, the slow-build and the final destination were all expertly written and wonderfully captured by Andi and Sebastian.

Worth a credit? It’s a humorous rom com, it’s a sweet friends-to-lovers, it’s a story with strong family values, it’s a beacon for loyalty and unity, it’s a dual POV love story, it’s the birth of a band.. and YES it’s creditworthy.

Making good music!

This series is getting better and better.Just when I thought the brother I loved was Campbell, I get to hear Miller's story. This friends to lovers romance does have a few twists. Though Ally and Miller have been best friends for 6 years, there are still some things Miller doesn't know about Ally. When he goes in search of a female singing partner, and Ally shows up for her audition, Miller is starstruck! Who is this woman? Not the one that tries to sing with him at Christmas! This unlikely duo is full of funny banter, true friendship and intense passion that just keeps getting hotter as the story goes on. Blakely can write the best stories, and with this one I found myself entranced in their music making, as well as their evolving relationship. Throw in the cameos with Campbell and Mackenzie as well as Miles and we have that feel good listen that just warms the heart. I can't wait for Miles's story next!

Narrated by the talents of Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, I knew it would flow from my ears to my heart. This team can make a story come to life and have it stick with you even when it's finished. A cameo appearance by Erin Mallon makes it even the better! A great combination for this series.

when bff admit and find true love

Miller and Ally have been best friends for a long time...they've been there for each other through relationships, heartbreaks, etc. They're each other's 'plus one', emergency contacts and the like. They will never do anything to mess up that type of bond...will they? Miller, who was once part of a popular teen band with his brothers, wants to start his own band. Except this time he wants a female partner. His brothers suggest Ally but, after a couple of crash n burn incidents with previous band members/friends, Miller does not want to risk his friendship with Ally. The proof is in the audition though, and Miller picks Ally to be his band partner. There is an underlying chemistry between the duo that they're finding harder to ignore. Will they risk their friendship over a fling? This book was chocked full of witty banter between the main and sub characters. Ally is also guardian to her 11 yo niece, since the passing of her sister 6 yrs ago. Their interaction is sweet and heartwarming. You can't help but love all of the characters in this book/series! We eventually have an HEA as well as a glimpse into the next book...yay!

I’m trying out a new mash-up of the narrators’ names. What do you think?!
In all seriousness, I loved this story! Friends-to-Lovers with a HEA is always great, but having SebAndi read it to me is an absolute pleasure!!
