Publisher's summary

“I had to understand that grief would be a constant in my life, and that it would be different every time it returned to me: the same face hidden beneath a brand new hat. I needed to say goodbye to this chapter of my life, to the grief that had clawed at me, to the threat that had stalked me through the shadows....”

Seraph Black’s entire world has changed. There are no more secrets in her life, but knowledge comes at a price. Memories take their toll. Reality demands a due.

The silent shadow of her past has stepped into the light and revealed himself. He has lost everything, and the only thing left for him to do is to make sure that she loses everything as well.

Survival is a complicated game, but her pairs are determined to become experts at it before they run out of time. If only they knew about the brand of pain in her portraits that was never there before, because something is seriously wrong.

Her visions are changing. People are dying. The world is turning on its head once again.

Warning: As the characters in this series are maturing, so is the content. Not suitable for persons younger than 17 years of age.

creative end to series

The fourth and final book of the Seraph Black series. Chapters are told from different character POVs. Be prepared for a few timeline disconnects.
Seraph and her pairs set up house on the estate and her powers continue to grow as their bonds to each other grow stronger.
We get more background with Silas and Miro.
Danny runs his final game at a great cost to Seraph, her pairs, and the Zevgheri.
Physical bonds are cemented; Seraph, Silas, Miro, Noah & Caleb get their HEA.
Schroeder has a somewhat choppy style of reading that works for some stories, like Boston Mafia, but I don’t think that it adds to this series. This uniqueness and her voice make it hard to understand what’s going on sometimes. I’m glad I read the ebook first when it came out; I did take a listening break to reread the ebook.

Mostly Pleasing Ending

I love this series. I love this author. I love this narrator. Everything was great except for one dissatisfying thing in the ending. Otherwise... 5 stars.

Interesting series, VERY YA.

This is a review for all 4 books. It was a good book. HATED all of the narrator books. Her voice is so monotone too me. This book is very YA a mean no intercourse until book 4 and it’s very short and not descriptive at all. I would let my teenager read this series. Overall, storyline was good. I found myself intrigued the whole time, even with it being YA I still completed the series. I feel like it could have been better if she was older and more mature. So many tropes that wasn’t explored.

I love this series

I return to this series again and again. I love the slow burn, and the complex storylines. Even things which seem like plot holes at the beginning are explained by the end.

I would LOVE to read a sequel. I agree with another review that hearing the story of another Atma and their pair would be really interesting. Jaden as I understand it has already passed the cut off age, but what about Seraph’s children? Or what if Eva secretly had a child and Jaden erased all memory of that child while the stalker (I wont spoil his name) still lived? What about Jack and the Sophies? Or one of their children? Basically I just want more, lol.

Glossed over plot holes and enjoyed it

If you can look past the plot issues then it's a good one. It was a pretty good end to a pretty crazy series.
