Publisher's summary

As a former member of the United States Secret Service, I'm no stranger to putting my life on the line in the name of duty. Having left the nation's capital to re-settle in Pittsburgh, the skills I acquired during my tenure in Washington have made me a valued member of the team at Jameson Force Security. But when the president comes seeking a favor to protect his niece, I find myself on the fast track back to the Oval Office.

Simply put...she's beyond brilliant. A nationally renowned energy scientist, Barrett Alexander is on the verge of a breakthrough that will change the world. Unfortunately, that has also made her the target of a suspected terrorist cell. And while Barrett doesn't believe she's in any real danger, the president isn't willing to take chances with her life.

As the threats against Barrett become more calculated, I decide taking her on the run is her best chance of survival. Danger, isolation, and attraction ensure we grow closer than I'd ever thought possible. When I realize I want to keep her safe for reasons that have nothing to do with my job and everything to do with the woman I've fallen in love with, no one is safe from the hell I'll rain down on those that threaten her.

Another perfect addition to the series!

Code Name: Sentinel is the second book in the Jameson Force Security series by the talented and fabulous Sawyer Bennett. I have read every book of Sawyer's and she never disappoints with the sexiness, humor, foreplay, suspense and lust.

Story:
We met Cruce in Code Name: Genesis and I've been thinking about him since! He's new to the team, but he quickly made friends and works well with the team. He used to be Secret Service and when he gets a call from the president, he doesn’t think twice, he'll do anything he asks. His niece is in danger and she needs protection. She's a brilliant scientist and she's working on a formula that will literally change the world. Cruce is just the man for the job, even if Barrett is sexy, nerdy and beautiful. He'd lay down his life for hers. When he takes her away, just the two of them, she becomes more than a job. She's a woman who he starts to fall for. Barrett isn't sure if it's the circumstances or the man, but she can't seem to stop looking at him. She loves that he makes her stop and enjoy life. But when the danger finds them, will they make it out alive? Will they realize their feelings are real and forever? I’m loving these Jameson Force guys! Cruce is fiercely loyal and takes his job seriously. If I were in trouble, I'd want him at my six. Or, you know, anywhere near me :). Overall, I loved Cruce and Barrett and thought their story was sexy and romantic! I loved the added suspense and seeing some favorites and meeting some new characters. I'm already looking forward to Code Name: Heist.

Audio: I'm a huge fan of Jason Clarke's. His voice always gives me tingles and I love that I never think of another character he's narrated. He was all Cruce. I liked Lucy's voice as the female characters, but I didn't like the voice she used for the men. It just sounded off and weird to me.

Great action packed romance

This is the second book in the Jameson Force Security series but can be listened to as a standalone even though characters from the previous book are in it. Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers are wonderful as Cruce and Barrett. I'm looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Loved the story and loved the narration

I’m fairly new to audio and although I have read many books by Sawyer Bennett this narrating duo of Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers are new to me but these guys did an amazing job of bringing this book to life.
Book 2 in the Jameson Force Security Series and this is Cruce and Barrett’s story and boy oh boy do they have a story to tell !!
Barrett may be the niece of the US President but she lives her life on her terms working as scientist with no real political interest so why is her life suddenly threatened. The President knows only one man capable of keeping his niece safe so he reaches out to Jameson Force Security and the man who once saved his life Barrett Alexander. Will Barrett be able to keep Cruce safe ........
This author knows how to write romance but she also knows how to write a suspense thriller woven with love and passion. It’s a interesting story with just the right mix of mystery, intrigue, love and passion and the narration is perfect, you really get to experience the chemistry this couple share through your headphones. Loved it.

Predicable but still a good storyline

Great story but it’s the same as code name: genesis. I hope the next one in the series is different.

A Bodyguard Romance

Cruce Britton epitomizes the qualities of a sentinel, which makes his new assignment - to protect the President’s niece - something that should come easy to him…it’s clear that he’s damn good at putting himself on the line for those who need his protection, but his latest assignment, not only puts his skills to the test, but his will power and his professionalism as well, because while Cruce has always been focused on his career and making as little attachments as necessary, there’s just something about Barrett Alexander, and the fact that he’s protecting her as a personal favor to the President of the United States makes things messy, complicated, and potentially the biggest job and risk of his life.

I enjoyed the fact that Sawyer Bennett created a unique situation to bring Cruce and Barrett together. The reason for the threat against Barrett definitely fits contemporary society because her research as a renowned energy scientist is life altering for the world, so it makes sense that someone would want to steal her work and use it for their own benefit.

Cruce’s refusal to be distracted by feelings for the person he’s protecting logically makes sense, but there’s nothing logical about feelings - they’re messy, they’re overwhelming, and they amp up any situation, and this is exactly what happens the more time he spends with Barrett and the deeper his feelings for the woman he vowed to protect.

Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers narrate Cruce and Barrett’s, allowing their perspectives to hold all of the characters’ emotions, exuding the push and pull between them as well as the ups and downs that occur as Cruce works to keep Barrett safe while their feelings for each other make everything a bit more difficult. I absolutely loved how Clarke brought Cruce’s character to life; it was sexy, sultry, and seductive, and just how I pictured Cruce’s voice.

I love a good bodyguard romance - they seem to have a perfect blend of suspense, steam, and drama, and Sawyer Bennett’s Code Name: Sentinel definitely fit the bill.

The voices! The plot! The action! i loved it all!!

This is Book 2 in the "Jameson Force Security" Series and I loved it very, very much!!. The book has it all. Action, suspense, great characters and a very well developed plot.

Code Name Sentinel is about the newest member in Jameson Force Security: Cruce Britton. Cruce is an ex Secret Service Agent who is called to the White House by the President. Before becoming President, while he was Vice President, Cruce saved his life and now he asks Cruce and the team a very special mission: to protect her niece Barrett Alexander. Barrett is a renowned scientist and there is a threat on her life...

The chemistry between Barrett and Cruce is awesome and the audio version of this book is just perfect! The voices made me feel part of the story and I couldn't stop listening to it until I finished it!!!

I could not stop listening

I loved this story. I loved the introduction of Cruce in the previous book and he was even more endearing in this book! I loved Barrett as well. Such a great story of a nerdy genius and the bodyguard hired to protect her. It was also great to check in with previous characters and get sneak peeks of some characters who have upcoming stories.

The story was great, and I loved listening. I love Lucy Rivers, but had never heard Jason Clarke before, and would definitely listen to both again and again.

I cannot wait for the next Sawyer Bennett story. She is an amazing author who writes a great story.

Loved

Jason Clarke and Lucy Rivers did such a fantastic narrating this story. I could have listened to them read forever and their voices with the emotion in it really put me right there in the middle of the story. The story starts with Cruce as Barrett's protection and the intensity and angst builds from there. This book had some fun and harrowing twists and turns that had my attention (and had me sitting in my car listening extra) just to know what was going to happen.

I think the author did a great job weaving this tale that completely captures a readers attention
