To whom it may concern,

Full disclosure: Before we move forward with this email, I would like it to be known that I have consumed an adequate amount of alcoholic beverages to intoxicate myself tonight. Three margaritas, two shots, and one beer - because it was free.

I think it's important to be open and honest with your coworkers, don't you?

So here I am, being open and honest. Drunk but honest. Or just drunk with lust? You decide.

I have a hopeless, foolish schoolgirl crush on you when you are the last person on earth I should be falling for. Did you know people around the office call you a sadist? An egomaniac. An insensitive, arrogant prick. But what they don't know is your bark is worse than your bite. And that bite doesn't scare me. The fact is, I'd love that bite of yours to nip at my bare skin while we're both wearing nothing but sheets.

For once I want you to look at me as more than one of your employees.

And as long as we're being honest, that navy blue suit you wear? With the crisp white shirt? It really makes me want to loosen your tie and show you exactly who's boss.

Love,

Sincerely,

Yours

Read this book instead of listening to it

Disappointed. I liked the story enough but I couldn’t get past the male narrator screaming every single line. Very jarring. I got as far as chapter 15 but couldn’t continue. The email at the center of the story (Not a spoiler since it’s on the description of this book) was read by the male performer in a shout-y voice full of incredulity and anger. Lost opportunity when it could’ve been sexy. I’m getting my credit back.

DNF - Can't Handle the Male Narrator

I feel like I would LOVE this book if I read it or the male narrator were different. I just couldn't handle the narrator for this book so DNF about halfway through. Loved Ava Erickson, though and the story is great (I think). I'm going to read this one on my own.

OMG

I have just finished chapter 3 and I don't think I am going to be able to take this audio book much longer. I have not listened to any audios with Alexander Cendese and he is not good. He seems to be yelling his words and over the top with the dramatics. The other thing is his female voice is terrible. I am going to continue for a few more characters because from the synopsis of this story it sounds interesting. But I had to put this comment out there for the people who depend on audio only for a reason.
Ok, I have gotten to chapter 7, I can't go any further. The female narrator Ava was great. But it can't save this audio book. To bad, it was funny with Eva's characters. Not to be mean to A.C. But he really needs to calm it down A LOT!!!!

The male narrator killed this story for me.

Both of the characters were okay. I felt the male narrator completely ruined this story for me. The way he made the main male character sound made him unlikeable, then the female narrator would start and the male character was much more likable.

I would recommend reading the book. Skip this audiobook.

5 stars for story and female narrator

This is such an awesome story!!! I love Sara Ney!! and now I can't wait to read/listen to some of Meghan's lighter stuff (I can't handle a bunch of crying lol) Also, as always, the female narrator, Ava, was wonderful!! However, who in the world heard the Male narrator and said "yeah, women are going to like to hear their voice butchered like that!" His voice in general was not my taste but I can look past that knowing that's just my personal feelings about it. However, someone, for the love of the audiobook gods, please coach this guy on how to properly produce a woman's voice without making her sound like a 12 yr old valley girl with no brains. Thanks!!!

Waste of time

The heroine was alright, but the hero was absolutely terrible: stressed all the time, shitty boss, shitty person.
Can’t imagine what she ever ding in him.
The interaction was flat.
Hated this book so much because it had potential.

Story Took Some time to get Good

I enjoyed the rom-com humor and banter between Payton and Rome once the story got more personal between them but it took till almost the end of the book before the chemistry and sexual tension cane through for me.
I did not enjoy the male narrator speaking the female parts he sounded like Minnie Mouse without a brain. Which made the female character sound ridiculous.
The female character was on and she did a decent job speaking the male parts. I wish they had found a female narrator that sounded a bit older. The character is 30 but the female narrator sounded like she was 19.
I think I should have stuck with reading the story.
I don’t think I’ll listen to any other books narrated by the male narrator again he just ruins the female POV
Listen with caution.

Oh Rome!

This story had it all!

First... I love how the books summary was the email Peyton sends to Rome. Talk about a hook!

Second are the characters. Smart and sassy Peyton, her crazy supportive friends. Brooding and sexy CEO Rome and his obnoxious yet caring best friend Hunter.

Third is the way the authors wrote the banter between Peyton and Rome. Whether it was the emails, texts or even in the conference room. They had me in stitches sometimes and other times I was fanning myself.

Fourth is the way the relationship grew. I love a book that has more content and an actual storyline that pulls you and keeps you engaged.

Fifth... Well I won't give the story away... What I will say is that I hope this author duo comes back together to give us Hunters story.
