Publisher's summary

His name is Rafaele Vestri, Rafe to his friends. He’s tall, strong, handsome. Distant. He often comes to the coffee shop where I work, but we don’t talk much. He looks at me, though. Stares at me, his gaze heated, and I can’t help but stare back. I want him, I won’t deny it. I’ve never seen anyone that beautiful, anyone that powerful, in my life.

But he’s growing more withdrawn by the day. Something’s up, and he won’t tell. I know about his past - the murder of his family when he was 15. I can imagine how much it must have cost him. So much violence contained in that strong body, waiting to be unleashed. What is he seeking? What is he training so hard for? Why is he looking at me like he’s dying to touch me, but won’t dare?

Even as I try to stop thinking about him, get interested in other boys, I realize I can’t. I’m caught, body and soul, just like that. And I tell myself, Megan, girl..."What have you gotten yourself into this time?"

Stand-alone novel. No cliff-hanger. Warning: this book contains graphic language, sex, and violence. Mature listeners only. Not intended for young listeners.

great story

This book was gut wrenching due to the pain both Meg and Rafe suffered. The author did a great job of detailing the physical injuries and describing the anguish they were feeling. Learning about both families near the end was helpful with putting pieces of the story together. and I loved the cat!

Great Series

i read a lot and listen to a lot of books. I have to say that this is my new favorite series. i got my friend reading it.
Rafe is sweet, kind and generous with a tortured soul. I love how these books deal with trauma on pretty realistic level.

Backbone of the brotherhood

The brotherhood is not only about the guys, their girls are everything. We’ve always known Rafe has a horribly tragic past, but he is strong. Megan has lived through a tragic life herself, and is also strong. When they each come face to face with their demons, they are both stronger than they know. Through their journey they also find they are awesome together. Jo Raven…you’re killing me💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Great story lines

I really loved these books!! My only critique is that due to the maturity of the narrator’s voice, it is hard to remember that the boys are only 18-19 years old

Oh my GOD!! This was the most frustrating one of them all!!

First of all, no 19 year old male in the history of world would ever stop at getting laid. Especially those to self mutilating tendencies likes those who tattoo and pierce themselves. It’s all the the feels. I realize these stories are fiction and not real, but this story was so far fetched and just like all the other brothers stories that at this point I would throw this book across the room if it was in book form. Jesus! Can we write realistic people please! I like the brothers stories, it’s why I made it this far. But what was real about them was the fact that they didn’t stop and would engage, and then the thoughts and hesitation would come afterwards. That is realistic. I’m also getting pretty frustrated by “there’s something about this girl” troupe, yet the girls are wimps. WHAT IS IT ABOUT THE GIRL??!!! Someone answer me please!

Wow!

I really enjoyed this book and the entire series! Dark but real with HEA. Love the loyalty and brotherhood/sisterhood throughout.

I have loved this series, such detail to each character & still includes the rest of the brotherhood.

Great story & narration

Love the continuation of this series. I’m sad that the story line is coming to an end because it’s hard to find a book series this good. I like that there’s not a lot of time spent rehashing what I read in the previous books.
The narration was perfect yet again. There was only one book in this series that was hard to listen to. All the others were done perfectly.
