Publisher's summary

One man can change everything. That man can touch you until you tremble all over. That man can wake you up and allow you to breathe when life leaves you unable to catch your breath. For me that One Man is Jax North. He's handsome, brutally so, and wealthy, money and power easily at his fingertips. He's dark, and yet, he can make me smile with a single look or word. He's a force when he walks into a room.

Our first encounter is intense, overwhelmingly intense. I go with it. I go with him, and how can I not? He's that One Man for me, and what a ride it is. But there are things about me that he doesn't know, he can't know, so I say goodbye. Only you don't say goodbye to a man like Jax if he doesn't want you to. I've challenged him without trying. He wants me. I don't want to want him, and yet, I crave him. He tears me down, my resistance, my walls. But those walls protect me. They seal my secrets inside. And I forget that being alone is safe. I forget that there are reasons I can’t be with Jax North. I forget that once he knows, everything will change.

Because I need him.

Because he's my One Man.

One Man is the first book in the dangerously sexy Naked Trilogy by New York Times best-selling author Lisa Renee Jones.

Its okay

It's not bad. I love the savage guy. He is a funny detective. It drags a tiny bit. but I haven't had to skip any chapters yet. I am annoyed this is a cliff hanger. I have come to the conclusion I have to stop listening to books which are not finished. I am taking away a star since it's a cliff hanger.

Just OK!

I rely on reviews all the time... So Here is mine.

I enjoy Lisa Renee Jones books, but it’s the same story with her trilogies. 3 books going on & on & on about a big family secrets, I trust you, I don’t trust you, I love you, I don’t love you... By the end of the 3rd book you’re just tired😐

The narration was AMAZING how can you go wrong with Erin & Jason😍

Don’t take the bait.. until the other books are out.

I took the bait with this book and the end will remind me to never do that again.. until the other books are released. It’s literally 1/3 of a story. From this point forward I will make sure I only listen to these cut up style books when all of them are available to listen to. I will surly forget about this story by the time the second part is released. One and done..

OH NO! ANOTHER CLIFFHANGER !!

The storyline is great. The narrators are great. "But" I hate cliffhangers and this is another cliffhanger with no information as to when the next book in this trilogy is to be released. So if you don't mind a cliffhanger I highly recommend this book.

Jason Clarke's voice is 🔥! The books ok too😄

By Lisa Renee Jones
Narrated by Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon

Seriously, I wasnt expecting this to be so exciting. One Man was so deliciously messy like a... like a like a messy Sloppy Joe sandwich! 😄 As you eat you have parts falling out the sides and back and it seems like things are all over the place but it's still delicious. Thats how this felt for me. The story has a foundation of a Romeo-Juliet narrative where Emma and Jax seem destined for love though their families are sworn enemies. As you get deeper in the story, that's when randon parts and storylines start falling out the sides. There is a reverse 50 Fifty Shades of Grey type reaction with one of the characters who shows a slight fear of belts and blindfolds. Then you start finding out about night terrors, stalking, blackmail, body guards, private investigators, adultery and murder.

I'm like HOLD UP thought this was just another romance? Nope, you get it all! Be prepared. Get your popcorn because this is a movie for your ears.

As you can tell, I was really impressed by this story. Not the romance part but everything else. The romance for me was a little Young Adult-ish for my taste. I dont care for love at first sight. For this not to be a fantasy, it was a little unbelievable that these two 30-something adults would be so intensely dedicated to each other in just three days. Yes, this book takes place in a 3 day time frame which means a lot is happening in a short time frame. It gives it an intense feel. But really, can two grown ups fall "IN LOVE" in that amount of time?

One weird thing is how the chapters are divided. Chapters start and end in the middle of conversations... even with the same narrator. 🤨 Example: Chapter 18 is from Jax's point of view and it ends with a scene "You dont know how bad I want to kiss you right now"... then Chapter 19 starts again from Jax's point of view and he is starting to kiss her... why would you have a chapter break in the middle of a conversation if you aren't changing narrators or POVs?

My only other turn off was how Emma had this childish vibe at some points in the story. I wanted to tell her to STEP UP CHICK! YOU'RE A GROWN WOMAN!!!

Narrators fit well with the characters. Jason Clarke's voice will make you melt😍

4 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟. Great book. I've become friends with the characters. This is for my top Tier books. The story is deep with many layers. I probably finished it in a day. I'll likely reread this one when I miss the characters or need a pick me up.

All drama, no conclusion

There was a lot of drama and just when I think I'm finally getting answers it ends. If this was a show it would have faded to black right at a crucial part. I finally get invested in characters and it's over.

One Man

Loved the storyline. Kept me engaged from the first chapter. Told in dual point of view, I loved Jax! However, the narrator, Mallon’s voice was like scratching on a chalkboard. Her breathy elongated endings to most words was irritating. I wanted to scream every time she said Emmahhh! Instead, I increased the speed which helped a bit. Looking forward to reading One Woman.

Good listen

Good story and plot beginning. The story flows and moves forward, kept me listening. Definitely Leaves you hanging on at the end for the next book in the series. Hopefully the next book is just as good and keeps the plot moving forward.
