Publisher's summary

The third book in the Savage Series...

They say all is fair in love and war, but I really don't give a damn about fair. In fact, when protecting those I love, fair is the last thing on my mind. Now that I'm back in Candace's life, those who have used her to try to control me, may well put up a final fight, but they will not win. They will lose and badly.

Best in the Walker Series

Well written. The plot was well defined and the characters had...well, character 🙃. At first I was concerned about Rick Savage being the romantic, 3 books type of guy having read books from the series. But surprisingly, the story was believable and I loved how Lisa tied in the Walker security team, Adam, Smith and Asher into the drama. Good narration, I love Jason Clarke as Savage, he was the perfect type cast for this role. Honestly, this entire trilogy had my imagination on hyper alert, felt like I was watching a Mission impossible move. Great book!

Same as the fist two

As with the first two parts of this "trilogy", it's not. It's just the ending thrid of a 16hr book. The story was a little better, it kept me on the edge of my seat a little, the female narrator's male dialog was still very jarring.

While I won't be rushing to pick up any more books by this author, I won't be avoiding them either.

I want my own Rick Savage!

I have listened to Savage protect others in Lisa’s books and always wanted to know his story. I would highly recommend this trilogy because let’s face it every woman needs a little Savage in her life.

I also love Lisa’s way all of Lisa’s characters and her way of story telling. For me it is always nice to know characters that leap from one book to another. Keep up the good work Lisa, I will continue to purchase any book that is written by you. Your imagination and characters make my day more interesting.

Not a bad trilogy

This is worth the read. Narrators are fine. What this is not worth is 3 credits. I can’t express how much I hate cliffhangers—especially of books only 5-6 hours in length. For that reason this author is off my list of books to read. I will more carefully check reviews etc. I don’t mind series—if fact I prefer them…..but not with cliffhangers. Those just tick me off royally

not worth buying

I'm not a fan of serial books but I had hoped this would be worth the investment

it's over

Too long. The story could have been told in less time. The story line was good.

The Savage Trilogy...better as a duet

This review is of the Savage Trilogy and not just Savage Love. I have an Audible Escape Membership and didn't buy the books. I thought the trilogy was 6 hours too long. and I'm glad I didn't buy or use credits.
My overall review of the books in the trilogy:
Savage Hunger Book 1- 4 stars
Savage Burn Book 2 - 3 stars
Savage Love Book 3 - 2 stars
I read some of the reviews on the trilogy before starting it and now agree with several reviewers who felt that the story became redundant in the second book, Savage Burn. By the third book, Savage Love, I was fast-forwarding through most chapters to find out the "who-done-it" involvement in the assassination plot. It was over the top and all kinds of boring with the introduction of minor characters and subplots that went absolutely nowhere. The constant walks down memory lane for both characters especially about their mothers became filler info.

The sex was the right amount of hot and steamy in books 1 and 2 but the same angry sex to tired lovemaking chapters bogged the storyline. The theme/conflicts in the romance parts of the plot were OVERDONE throughout the ENTIRE trilogy. Candance not trusting Rick to leave her again and Rick worrying that his mercenary past would push Candace away was immature and the petulant behaviors from both characters that didn't make sense most of the time.

Though I usually like the alpha-male military, savior personalities coupled with bad-ass women who match their alpha skillsets; this trilogy was way too similar to other romance/erotica novels based on navy seal characters. This is a trilogy I would skip.

Better than the first two!

I’m happy to say that the final installment of this series was better than the first two and a fitting way to bring Candace and Savage’s love story to a perfect ending. The WalkerTeam has a huge presence in this book and Savage needs all the help he can get to tie up all the loose ends and destroy his enemies and the deadly assassins who are after him and Candace. This trilogy would have been better served if it had been edited to two longer books but I have mentioned that before. I enjoyed the narration throughout the entire series.
