Okay.

I heard a lot of good news about M. Robinson and so, I was going to try this one out considering it's under unlimited Kindle & Audio Escape. I read synopsis and knew it will be a cliff hanger before I dive in the story. I was a bit confused for awhile what the story was truly about, though. It was written quite well but I thought it was more about Aiden and Bailey's love story, but it's not. What you will read are bits and pieces of the "aftermath" of their relationship and soon enough, you get bits and pieces of how the love grew with one another a.k.a. flashbacks. What you will read about this book is more of the Nanny Camila's POV. You are only along the ride with Camlia's eyes v.s. Aiden's eyes or Bailey's eyes. You feel what Camila's feels about Aiden's irrational thinking of how he takes care of the kids, how the kids are affected by it and a 'very small" portion of the mystery of his wife, Bailey.

I was okay with the story but I just wish was more of Aiden & Bailey v.s. the nanny. Now, Camlia and Aiden are attracted to each other in the most bizarre ways and you don't know that 'til the last few chapters which by then, it lend to the 2nd book. You only want to know what's really going on between them 2 and you still want to know what the hell happened to Bailey???? LOL, that is when you know...crap, I want to read the next book...good job, M.Robinson, good job!

Amazing

After reading the blurb for this book I had to get my hands on it. This is my first by this author and I really enjoyed it. The audio book was so good, the narrators really brought the characters to life.

My heart broke at the beginning of this book hearing what Aiden went through as a child. When tragedy happens he ends up in foster care alone and scared until he meets Bailey. She makes life easier for him and they form a bond that grows stronger as time passes.

They bring in a nanny to help them with their three children. She gives them the attention they needed. Both Bailey and Aiden have been absent and are going through tough times in their marriage.

This book was so good and had me listening even when I should be doing other things. I can’t wait for the next book to find out how it ends.

Second book not included with subscription?

This is a good story, but it ends with a cliff hanger. The narrator's and the story line is good. A few times Camilla annoyed me when she stammered when confronted. Overall I really enjoyed part 1, but the second book isn't on audible (escape) and has to be purchased so I may never know how it ends. I think that is bad business. I'll think twice, and do a lot of research, before listening to another book by this author.

Really?

So many unanswered questions! Who? What? When? Where? Why? Is there conclusion? Is there a second audible book coming? How long do we have to wait?

ONE Book or put both in Escape,

I hate when I am not paying attention and I get the first book and then have to pay to hear the end of the story in book 2. I understand we have to pay, but I hate this gimmick. I picked it because I love Sebastian York and then surprise, he is not even narrator on the second. Story is okay, but sure is tangled web going back snd forth from past to present. Good author, I just question whether it is worth the trouble.

Warning! Cliffhanger with no sequel!

This book was interesting but it took a long time to get to the interaction between the the two leads. Then, the book abruptly ends. Seriously one of the biggest cliffhangers ever. The sequel is available on Kindle to read but not on audible.

The Wrong Narrators

I love SY, but he was not Aiden. SY and CJB sounded like an old radio soap opera. It was so bad from the fake Latino accent to CJB sounding like she was in pain. It may have been the story, but this was terrible.

Stupid cliffhanger without another book to follow.

So you read this book, get to the end, which has one of those cliff hanging sentences that have you yelling “what?” You go to get the next book because after all, this one is listed as “book 1”. Well guess what. There isn’t one. You’re just left with an unfinished book.

More is less

I tried the book solely because Sebastian York was one of the narrators and I always enjoy listening to C. J. Bloom. However, not even rock star narration talent could bale this story out. I think if the author had stayed with an odyssey of the characters being dumped in the foster care system and then managing to survive and strive, that would have made for a worthy story. Or, if seducing the nanny was the point, why spend so much time on the relationship between Bailey and Aidan? As it was, there wasn't enough in either story line and it left me completely unwilling to look for the second book in the series.
