Publisher's summary

Remember that time you accidentally sexted your in-laws?

Yeah. I just did that. Except worse. Now my million social media followers are reading and sharing the rude, smartass message I meant to send privately to my little sister...and I'm officially public enemy number one.

I'm Beck Ryder. Former boy bander. Underwear model. Fashion mogul. And I just buried my entire leg in my mouth - not just my foot - modern internet style, and publicly insulted my sister's neighbor.

Sarah Dempsey.

Also known as the woman of my dreams, who loves geeky TV shows, baseball, and giraffes, who's just as turned on by food as I am, and who has a huge secret that I didn't see coming.

Now it's time to grovel and apologize publicly on social media and hope that those same followers who helped start the raging shitstorm will help calm the waters.

Because Sarah doesn't want the spotlight. For very good reasons that I can't tell you right now and trying to convince her to be my fake girlfriend to fix this mess and make me look like less of a jackass is worse than taking a kick to the nuts by Jackie Chan.

And I thought modeling underwear made me feel naked.

Trying to start a relationship in the era of the twitterazzi isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

America's Geekheart is a rockin' fun romantic comedy featuring a billionaire fashion mogul who got his start modeling underwear, the geeky girl next door with a secret the size of California, and more superstitions and secrets than you can shake a baseball bat at. It stands alone with no cheating or cliffhangers.

Terrible female narrator, great otherwise

I enjoyed everything about this book except for the female narrator’s performance. She drags out and drawls the last syllable of every sentence she speaks! She even does it every time she says “Saraaaaaaaah” at the beginning of each of her chapters.

It creates such a distracting and whining style that I couldn’t bear to listen to for very long. It took me forever to get through the book because I couldn’t stand her speaking style.

The humorous story and male narrator were the only reasons I was able to finish the book, though I had to do it in sessions.

A Cupcake in a Tutu, an underwear model, bees....

ohhh...a grownup boy band is in this one too. Sarah is shy, brilliantly smart and afraid to let her own life shine. With good reason. She also has the greatest best friend ever to be a quirky sidekick in a rom-com! Beck is confident, devoted to his friends and family, and looking for a meaning to his own life that is bigger than being a former boy member and an underwear model.

This book is full of laughs, quirks, and beyond silly antics....did I mention Sarah as the greatest BF ever? She needs her own book she is that great! The Sarah and Beck are believable, even is their lives are not, their families and friends are ones that you can imagine wanting in your own life, and the crazy experiences had are icing on the cake, just not on the pig!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book! I am not an Erin Mallon devotee but enjoyed her performance in this book. I find the way she narrates to be a bit one note of over emphasis for my personal liking with a tendency to end every sentence a bit drawn out, this performance did not seem to be as heavy handed as others of her's that I have listened to. Jason Clarke was amazing and perfect for Beck and captured the character's over enthusiasm with a genuineness that added without feeling unbelievable.

Refreshing!!!

I very rarely give 5 stars, but this story was refreshingly different. I've been thinking about taking a break from this genre because I was getting tired of the same old story format. But with this book, the male lead wasn't a brooding jerk. There wasn't any heavy baggage for either lead character that was holding them back from falling in love. There wasn't endless chapters of me thinking, "just get over yourselves and be together!"
The narrators were great and the build up to sex was fabulous!

Hooked in the first 5 minutes😍😍

I'm starting to love ❤ this author. She writes love stories that are funny, sweet, with great romance. The characters are so adorable and loveable. I love how she includes the animals as well. I can't wait to read/listen to the next story.

I fell for the Erin Mallon trap again... ugh!

Okay, the story is great! It has its humorous moments where I smiled. The characters were quirky and awkward and a bit of bumbling fun. So this review doesn't hurt my opinion on the author whatsoever which is why I have the story a 4-star rating.

But Erin Mallon? Good lord, girl! Urrr KILL-liiing meee with all urrr draaaawn out woooords! All spoken with the same clip-clop cadence for every (and I do mean EVERY) sentence! Please stop! For the love of St. Peter and all that is holy! You're such a nice girl and I don't say this to be mean because as a human being, i adore you! I've watched you do lives on social media! You dont talk like this in normal conversation! Why do you do it in your narrations?! No one speaks like this! But if there is a female robot romance somewhere in need of narration you're the girl for the job! What blows my mind is that you dont read like this under your pseudonym! I just... Ugh! You're a conundrum I cant figure out and it's not like I havent tried! I've the audiobooks to prove it!

Its not fair to give a one star rating to Jason Clark who I find very enjoyable but I have to be fair. And it's unfair to ask that he carry the sole responsibility of a book's narration. I'll have to stop getting ANY audiobooks Erin has touched. Ive several she's done and her style just keeps getting worse. I'm sad to say that, but her reading pulls me out of every story and I'm an avid audiobook listener who spends HUNDREDS on audiobooks a year. I feel like I've given her the benefit of the doubt too many times or made an excuse because I really wanted to listen to an author's book only to be annoyed and disappointed by my own optimism.

Great

I found this to be a really good book. Sarah was really funny and so was Beck. They had great chemistry.

Great narrators but terrible story

The story was so boring and ridiculous that even the great narrators couldn't save it. Waste of money.

Light Hearted and Amusing

America's Geekheart was such a fun and sweet rom com. Beck and Sarah are great together, and there were so many funny moments between these 2 that kept me smiling throughout. Loved the narrators as well, this was a great listen.

Bees, Giraffes, Pigs, underwear and oh so good

Love this series. What happens when you have a very happy go lucky underwear model that is a billionaire but has very little techno skills? You get a tweet that was meant for your sister as a joke going out to the world and one very sweet geeky girl next door to said sister being on the end of the disaster.

Beck Ryder is knock dead gorgeous and so funny and full of life. He loves his friends and besides having trust issues with people outside his close bubble he is a happy guy. Along comes Sarah Dempsy, geeky bee girl trying to save the giraffes and she turns his world upside down. Sarah is the first person that has truly gotten Beck, the real him and he has done the same with her. This mishap has turned out the be the best thing that could happen for both of them.

This is a great series and this book is my favorite. Loved the characters and it is fully of laughs and love and lots of quirky life moments to get through.

Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon, enough said. Perfect narration

I highly recommend this book. Loved it!
