Publisher's summary

He never wanted to be anyone’s hero....

Some would call me irrevocably broken. I submerge myself in long work hours by day and debauchery at The Wicked Horse by night, using those things to numb the pain and guilt I feel over the death of my wife. What isn’t satisfied by one will surely be resolved by the other. At least that’s how I’ve survived the last few years.

But things change when Hannah Madigan shows up at my door, the newest employee sent by the company that cleans my apartment. Beat down by life, not to mention a cheating husband who was unfairly awarded custody of their daughter, Hannah is determined to make a better life for herself and get her kid back, even if it means working three jobs to do so. One costly mistake puts Hannah in my debt, and I’m not about to let the chance to have this dark-haired beauty pass me by.

She’s given a golden opportunity....

Determined to stay the course by any means necessary, Hannah accepts my less than professional offer. I’ll give her a job. She’ll give me her body. Sounds easy, right? Until the scales tip and I find myself needing her in ways I’m not ready to admit. Until I find that saving someone else may just mean allowing myself to be saved in return.

Asher and Hannah

Hannah divorced her cheating husband and works three jobs to survive. Asher has closed himself off after the death of his wife. While cleaning Asher's home, Hannah breaks a very expensive vase. In order to pay off her debt for the broken vase and to hire a good attorney to regain custody of her daughter, Hannah agrees to spend one night at the Wicked Horse with Asher. When one night isn't enough for Asher, he convinces her to quit all her jobs and work exclusively for him and to be at his beck and call at all times. The more time they spend together, Hannah is determined to help Asher heal.

Another great Wicked Horse story!

Loved this sexy, and emotional story!

I really enjoyed this sexy, and emotional story. Asher has closed himself off from emotional attachments ever since his wife passed away. When his new sexy employee catches his attention, he finds a way to convince her to accompany him to play at the Wicked Horse. Hannah works hard to make enough money to fight for her daughter. Her cheating ex-husband burned her with his connections and she will do whatever it takes to gain custody of her daughter. When Asher makes an offer she can't refuse, she begins to have hope of hiring an attorney. But neither could anticipate the fiery connection they would have. Hannah never experienced the passion she and Asher share. Asher never expected to feel so much again. Together, they begin to heal all their brokenness and it scares them both. I loved the evolution of their relationship and how they helped each other to open their hearts again. They had great chemistry and their passion was off the charts.
The narration by Lance Greenfield, and Kirsten Leigh was amazing. They nailed these characters perfectly, making me feel all the push/pull of emotions they experienced. Greenfield's deep raspy voice embodies Asher and all his dominant possessiveness, and makes me feel all his turmoil, pain, and love. Leigh did a great job bringing out the evolution of Hanna's sexual awakening but mostly I felt her strength and independence. Together they brought this poignant, and sexy romance to life keeping me totally engaged from start to finish.

Touching. Emotional. Sexy.

Asher’s story is the one I’ve been waiting for for so long. It was awesomesauce, spiked with deliciously kinky and sizzling sex as we are used to in this series that’s based around a sex club in Vegas, but still this one somehow has a bit too much of an insta-coupling feel to it for my liking. There’s basically no wait at all for the physical attraction of them to explode, however, these two, Hannah and Asher, take their sweet, sweet time to realize their emotional connection to one another.

This book might not have centered on the club as the previous stories, but it still satiated my craving for kinkiness as well as meeting some of the characters from the earlier books again.

In Asher and Hannah’s story there is no over the top drama or angst, these are two characters who actually act like adults for once. Of course, they both have their struggles, and I wanted to give especially Asher a smack on the head – or two, but once he finally comes to his senses, he becomes everything Hannah needs and more. Hannah herself is one strong heroine, who sticking up for herself and her family and makes Asher fight for her.

Theirs is a fully developed fast-paced story, full of cute and tender moments as much as wicked sexiness and one beautiful epilogue to melt your heart.

The narration by Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh is wonderfully done with distinct voices, great transportation of feelings and all in all great performances. This was the first time I've listened to either, but it won't be the last.

Oh My Asher!!

Loved this book!! It’s my first of the series even without the others it’s a couple standalone. Asher is the alpha male that doesn’t want to settle down so he generally avoids anything that has to do with commitment. He only focuses on his work and keeping it successful. Hannah has three jobs to try and stay a float unfortunately she’s barely treading water and most days feels like she’s sinking further but no matter what she keeps trying. She lands a job working for Asher as part of his staff and events happen that Hannah never expected to have to deal with. The story is well done and totally draws you in from the beginning.

Loved the narrators they did an amazing performance!!

Love the chemistry

Wicked Knight is the fifth book in the Wicked Horse Vegas series, but it is the first book in the series that I have read.  I did not feel that I needed the prior books in the series, where I’m sure there were references to prior characters from the series as well as some of the authors other series.  I loved seeing the overlap from those other series.
Asher and Hannah kept me tuned in right from the start.  I so enjoyed this story and do need to go back to read the prior books in the series.  Add in the narration and the book just popped.  You really could feel the emotions of the characters and the chemistry between Asher and Hannah was awesome.  There was so much story with these characters, it was so easy to stay glued to what was going to happen next.  I was sad when the story ended.

Great Read

Wicked Knight (Wicked Horse Vegas #5) was another great read by Sawyer Bennett. Asher Knight runs his family business, Knight Investment Group during the day. At night, he is into much more debauchery at The Wicked Horse. He uses his time there to numb the pain and guilt he feels over his wife’s death. Hannah shows up at his door to be his newest employee. She feels completely broken down by a cheating husband that has taken everything including her daughter. She is determined to get custody of her daughter even if that means working multiple jobs. She gets into debt with Asher but she never thought in repaying him, her life would drastically change. I loved reading Asher and Hannah’s story and can’t wait to read more by Sawyer Bennett.

I need more stars, this book is amazing

Asher Knight is certainly a dark knight that knows how to rescue a girl. When Hannah has an unfortunate accident, that leaves her in debt to Asher, he comes up with a way for her to repay him. Hannah is a mom, but because she could not afford the best lawyer, her husband has custody of her daughter and she has to pay child support. Her daughter is everything to her. She is just a pawn to her father. This makes Hannah so real, so easy to relate to. I loved Hannah's determination and love for her daughter. Asher is mysterious, yet intriguing. I really liked how he went from all business to having feeling for Hannah. The twists in this story kept me on the edge of my seat wanting to know more. I could not put it down. I cannot wait to read more in this series.

Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh bring this story to life. They have complimentary voices that make the transition from one to the other smooth and easy. Mr. Greenfield creates the dominant, strong alpha Asher is. Ms. Leigh brings our the innocence of Hannah. but when Hannah starts to explore, the seductive side is truly brought out by Ms. Leigh's narration. It was easy to get lost in the story with the wonderful narration of this team.

Wickedy Good

Wicked Knight was everything I knew it would be. Sawyer Bennett delivers another scorching story with lots of intense chemistry and a heartwarming story to boot. As we’ve come to know the Wicked Horse can get kinky and oh so hot but then Sawyer adds the sweeter softer romance to the story giving us an all-around sexy romance. I loved the slow build of love while the pages steamed up. Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh were fabulous bringing this sexy story to my ears.
