Publisher's summary

The Montgomery Ink series from NYT Best-selling Author Carrie Ann Ryan continues with the brother who keeps his silence and the one woman he shouldn't want.

Everly Law married the love of her life, and on the eve of giving birth to their twins, lost him in a tragic accident. Now she's a single mother working overtime at her bookstore trying to give her boys the life they deserve. Her life is demanding enough without her adding a Montgomery to the mix. But as past secrets come to light, she'll need Storm more than ever - even if she doesn't want to admit it.

Storm Montgomery has spent his life atoning for sins that few know he committed. When he lost his best friend, he promised Jackson's widow he would always be there for her - even when she seemingly wanted nothing to do with him. But when a single touch ignites passions they've both kept buried deep inside, he'll have to remember exactly who is in his arms, and that taking chances might be far more dangerous than either of them bargained for.

Another great listen Carrie Ann Ryan! I love the family togetherness and the support offered to friends as well as extended family! No matter the situation or circumstances, each person overcomes it with the help of someone. If only life could really be this simple! Storm and Everly truly had too many upheavals to overcome, so the love and support of family and friends helped ground them when chaos could have easily reigned.

I feel these audiobooks would have been so much better with Dual POV’s❣️

Inked Expressions

This is Storm’s book, and boy did it go from 0-100 in a few pages. Everly is the widow of Storm’s best friend. For three years Everly has learned how to be a signal mother, but she never knew differently, since her husband died before the twins were born. Storm helps her in whatever way he can. I was not expecting this book. The secrets! OMG. I don’t want to give them away because it was just sooooo good. I loved Ellie and how she was so independent in the face of everything thrown at her. Storm is a Montgomery so of course he is great was amazing. I am so glad that this series don’t end with the original Montgomerys because I don’t think. I will ever get enough.

I liked it

I enjoyed heading storms story, he has been one of my favorites throughout. Gotta enjoy a book that references Trolls. I have been watching them a lot with my 4 year old grandson.

Pretty good

I read this book when it first came out and it was nice to revisit the Montgomery’s in the audiobook. It was nice to see them overcome their problems and realize the love they had for each other. I gave it a 4 on the story because I dislike when the woman has to prove so hard they she can do it on her own that she won’t ask for help when she needs and hurts others in the process and Everly does that a bit in this.

Great Story!

I am not sure what has taken me so long to read this author. This is the third book I have read and loved it. She writes characters I can care about. This Montgomery family is full of wonderful caring characters. I loved the intricate story line. I was shocked and surprised more than once. I even laughed a few times as well as had a smile on my face. The writing is very smooth. The characters are complex. The men are protective and the women are independent. It’s a combination that works well. I will be checking out more from this author.

I did listen to this on audio. Gregory Salinas does a wonderful job narrating. He really adds to this story.
