Around the world, more than 8 million children live in orphanages and other institutions. What may be surprising is that about 80 percent of them aren't actually orphans. They have family who could care for them, with the right support. Lumos is an international children's charity founded by J.K. Rowling. Named after the light-giving spell in Harry Potter, Lumos' mission is to ensure that by 2050 all children will grow up in loving, protective families.

*Proceeds means the cash-price or cash-equivalent price less sales taxes and reasonable expenses.

Wizarding Fables.

I loved listing to this little story and the morals they teach. It is also interesting to see what Professor Dumbledore had to say about the stories. I wish there was more wizarding fables to this book. I think my favorite was the story with the magic well. This book makes me want to relisten to the Harry Potter series over again. Narration was great. Thanks, Audible for the freebie.

Magical

I obtained this story for free a few days ago, during the corona virus epidemic which is currently sweeping the globe. I listened to it tonight with my husband and three children during our quarantine as we've listened to countless other classics during this time. When comparing it to my other favorites like 'The Mortal Immortal' or 'The Black Cat,' I found that Rowlings style of story telling is far more my style and favorite than I ever originally realized. Now I think back to book four of Harry Potter, I did not sleep for three days as I had a neex to finish it, to find out what happened next. While her style of writing and ability to create magic seemingly on a whim far outmatch the ability of most authors I've read. Her kindness and generosity exceed even that. My physical copy of this book is currently out of reaxh, and I am deeply grateful for having had the opportunity to listen to this with my family, that we might ease our minds during this stressful time, and think on less dreadful things.

Perchance to Dream

Lovely to listen to at bedtime or during meditation. Short enough to listen to in one sitting, or one chapter at a well chosen time.

fun but too short

The stories were fun, and I enjoyed dumbledore's learned commentary, but I wish there had been more stories! not only were there only a few, they were very short, and in some cases Dumbledore's section was longer than the actual story!

Magical

I absolutely loved this reading. The actors read with such velvety smoothness and their performance was beautiful. They made the characters and places come alive. I will definitely listen to this again in the future.
